While Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr was preaching at the Special Healing Service, he mentioned that there is a global increase in sicknesses and diseases, citing statistics from 2022. He encouraged the congregation to employ the technology of the Spirit as these diseases are becoming more common.
He said: “If you look physically on the Earth today, you will discover that there seems to be a multiplication of sicknesses and diseases in unprecedented fashion. All over the World, statistics show unusual growth of sicknesses and diseases everywhere. That’s why there is a need for us to anchor on our covenant provision in Christ to escape the calamities of the World. Church Gist. I came across a few statistics here that are very mind-blowing. In the year 2022 alone, over 20 million cases of cancer were diagnosed. 2022 alone! And that’s according to the UN statistics, 54 million adults in Africa alone are said to suffer from diabetes. 304 million across the World are said to suffer from chronic hepatitis. You look at it and you see that the things that were scarce are becoming very common. Diseases seem to be rising on a daily basis and they are outpacing every kind of technological advancement. That’s why we need to switch to the technology of the Spirit so that we can be conquerors in this battle against our health.”
