31st August 2020: Pastor E.A. Adeboye visits Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa behind closed doors. It was suggested that the meeting could be as a result of the Companies and Allied Acts (CAMA) signed into law by the president on 7th August, 2020.

31st August 1952: Matthew Hassan Kukah is born. He is the current Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sokoto. He was ordained a Catholic Priest on 19th December, 1976.

31st August 1968: The Nigerian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES) is founded. NIFES positions itself as an outreach to students on campus with the goal to capture and train young people who would prosper Kingdom affairs. Its origin is traced back to Bishop Smith Memorial College, Kwara State.

31st August 1985: Bishop Charles and Vivian Agyin-Asare get married. They are the Senior Pastors, Perez Chapel International, Ghana.

31st August 2013: Apostle Anselm and Emmy Madubuko get married. Apostle Anselm Madubuko is the Apostolic Leader and Founder of Revival Assembly Ministries International.

31st August 2018: Samuel Adegboyega University (now Glorious Vision University), Ogwa, Edo State, Nigeria receives her approval of Postgraduate programmes. The University was founded by The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Lagos and Western Northern Areas (LAWNA) Territory.


31st August 1976: Music Minister William Mcdowell is born in Ohio, United States. The worship minister and author was ordained a pastor in Deeper Fellowship Church in 2007. He is married to Mrs. LaTae McDowell and they are blessed with 5 children.

31st August 2023: Prophet Isa El-Buba and his wife unveil the Dr. Isa El-Buba Foundation for Liberty, Justice and Development in memory of his 41st spiritual birthday.
