While preaching at the Online Sunday Service, Pastor Adeboye shared a personal testimony illustrating the “Wonders of Divine Contact.”
Recalling his time as a Games Master at a Grammar School, he spoke about a boastful encounter with a Games Master from a rival team during a football match in a distant town. Church Gist. Years later, while pursuing his Master’s Degree at the University of Lagos, he was surprised to discover that the same individual had become his neighbor, living just two rooms away. This chance reunion led to a close friendship.
He recounted that his friend was pursuing a Ph.D. in Geography and needed to collect sand from the coast at Ebute Metta for his research. Pastor Adeboye followed him and it was then that he saw a signboard for a small Church, “The Redeemed Christian Church of God.” Church Gist. At the time, he and his friend found the name amusing, but four years later, a need for an urgent miracle led Pastor Adeboye to seek out a Church and he was directed to that same Church.
It was at this Church that he gave his life to Jesus Christ. He concluded his testimony by emphasizing how God had orchestrated his path and brought him to his destiny. Church Gist. He stated that he is now speaking as the General Overseer of the same church he once ridiculed, highlighting the profound and unexpected way Divine connections can shape a person’s life.
