While rounding up the Second Service on Sunday, Apostle Emmanuel Iren of Celebration Church International (CCI), told the congregation of their intention to build at least 50 free schools in Nigeria.
He started by first appreciating members partnering with the Church in the planting of new Churches. He announced that CCI Calabar was planted last week to the glory of God with a huge attendance. “Money will not hinder our evangelism” – he prayed.
He went further to say that no offering had been raised for the free School they are about to start either next week or the upper week. According to him, many people have been reaching out to him on how they can support the establishment of the free school. “As time goes on, we will have at least 50 free schools in this Country (Nigeria)” – he stated. He said he would appreciate volunteers who would be willing to teach the pupils and adopt at least a child.
He also said he saw this as a revolutionary move. He said that he is trusting that it will be one of the best schools in Nigeria even though it’s going to be a free school. He also emphasized that even though it’s a free school, there will be requirements to meet to be admitted into the school. “We want to help serious people whose only disadvantage in life is finance” – he clearly stated this as the vision of the school.

He also encouraged members who had done an initiative of similar magnitude to reach out to the Church so they could offer advice on how best to go about it. He reiterated that the purpose of this initiative is to touch and change lives.
