11th September 1938: Benson Andrew Idahosa is born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He was the Founder of the Church of God Mission International (CGMI) and Christian Faith University (now Benson Idahosa University – BIU) in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He was also the 3rd President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) from 1995 to 1998. He passed on to glory on 12th March, 1998.

11th September 2021: Reverend Silas Yakubu Ali is martyred by unknown assailants. He was a Pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Kibori-Asha Wuce in Zango-Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria.

11th September 2016: The Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Living Spring Branch, Rivers Province 3 commission a 112 by 6 metres square road at Eliada Community, Rumuogba Town, Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State. The road was built by the church as part of her Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to the community and commissioned by the Pastor in charge of Rivers Province 3 at the time, Pastor David Adewuyi.


11th September 2022: John Williams O’Malley SJ goes to be with the Lord. He was a Theologian and Catholic Historian who wrote on the religious history of Early Modern Europe and the Second Vatican Council. He was also a University Professor at Georgetown University. He was aged 95.
