While encouraging believers to strive to submit to the ultimate plan of God for their lives, Pastor Adeboye shared how he had wanted to become the youngest Vice Chancellor in Africa before he encountered God.
In his words, “I thought I would become the youngest Vice Chancellor in Africa. That was the goal but somewhere along the line, I gave my life to Christ in 1973.” He emphasized that the moment he gave his life to Christ, his life experienced a dramatic turnaround.
He also stated that he got baptized in the Holy Ghost later that year and from 1974 till date, this year’s (2025) Easter was the only Easter Celebration he had spent at home. According to him, the moment the Holy Spirit came into him, something kept moving in him in the direction that God originally planned for his life.
