While ministering on the Subject, “Leave and Cleave” during the First Service on Sunday, Apostle Iren of Celebration Church stated that many people have died because of some pastors.
In his words, “there are men of God who have killed people unintentionally because there are some fasting regimens that are irresponsible.” He stressed that many notable people have fasted and died.
He said even though fasting is important because he also fasts regularly, wisdom must be applied. He also emphasized that some pastors share their fasting exercise as a testimony. “You are teaching people on prayer and you are saying someone prayed until his heart shifted from left to right”; why are you telling people? He queried.
He also stated that many people died because of exhaustion. “We are losing our heroes and we spiritualize their exit by saying gone too soon, Heaven gained an angel.” Leave God out of this – he stated. “Some things could have just been better handled” – he concluded.
