I TOLD JESUS I DON’T WANT TO COME TO HEAVEN UNTIL I BUILD 1,000 CHURCHES FOR HIM ALL OVER THE WORLD

At the Breaking Generational Curses Service, Bishop David Oyedepo spoke about why he has always wanted to be prosperous. While charging his congregation to have Kingdom dreams, he said “You are not looking for faith to pose to the world that you are the man. Your love for God is your motivation. ‘I want to serve you better’. ‘I want to make more impact in your Kingdom’. That’s your crave. Before I had the first Bank account I said to Jesus, “If you ever bless me, I want to be part of building you churches.” When we were growing up, building churches was by committee in the church. Nobody stands to build a church, nobody has the capacity. I said “if you ever bless me, I want to be part of building you churches. I hate to see churches being built over the years without completion”. Church Gist. I was not a pastor, I wasn’t called to ministry. I wasn’t anything. I just love Him. My prosperity dream is motivated by my love for God. It’s not ‘I have 20 buildings in London’ Well done, be living in all of them. ‘I have one hundred in Russia’. Go there. I have read plenty of biographies. There is none that dictates how many things you have, it is your cup of tea. All the ones who wrote to felicitate with me on my 70th birthday, no one said which cars I have or which houses I have. Nobody will remember you for all those junk, it is your cup of tea. Why are you dying over it? It is the work that you do that will live after you. What have you done?”
Speaking further, he shared why God will keep him on the earth for long, “With my greed, I said to Jesus that I don’t want to build less than 1,000 churches for him before I come to heaven. 1000 churches! It doesn’t have to be in Nigeria, anywhere. So God said “I will keep you here for long. I need people like you here.” What is your Kingdom dream? It is a pointer to where your heart is. Church Gist. The Ark is going on. It doesn’t need your input. Your input is what will define where you belong. Put it there that you want to buy chairs for it. If they say we have bought chairs already. Give the money as a replacement for the chairs. Your heart is just panting after God. I can tell you it works but I have seen it.”
