4th March 1990: Frederick K.C Price Hall, the first completed church building of the Living Faith Church Worldwide is dedicated. The 400 seater auditorium was built in 1990 at the Garden of Faith, Barnawa, Kaduna in exactly 14 days. It was named after Bishop David Oyedepo’s mentor, Apostle Frederick K.C. Price because the instruction from God to lay the foundation of the structure came during his visit to Kaduna. Today this small structure is still standing and has birthed thousands of Living Faith Churches all over the continents of the world.


4th March 1906: William Seymour, having preached that tongues is the Bible evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit, is padlocked out of the Los Angeles Church at which he had been invited to preach. This will force him to continue his ministry in a private home and soon prompt him to rent space on Azusa Street where revival will break out.

4th March 1738: Moravian missionary, Peter Bohler and spiritual mentor to John Wesley advises John Wesley, “preach faith until you have it and then, because you have it, you will preach it.”


4th March 1955: Archbishop Leslie Gordon Vining passes on to glory. He was the first Archbishop of the Church of the Province of West Africa (1951-1955) and was an Anglican Bishop of Lagos. He died at Sea on his way to England. The Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral at Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria was named after him. He was aged 70.

4th March 1849: Newly-elected President of the United States Zachary Taylor refuses inauguration on Sunday out of respect for the Lord’s day. The inauguration eventually took place the next day (Monday).

4th March 1866: Alexander Campbell passes on to glory. He was the Founder of the Disciples of Christ and the Church of Christ. He also wrote the popular hymns titled ‘Upon The Banks Of Jordan Stood’, ‘Jesus Is Gone Above The Skies’ and ‘Tis Darkness Here, But Jesus Smiles’ amongst others. He was aged 77.

4th March 1791: Reverend John Hurt is appointed as the first Chaplain in U.S Army. He had previously served as the Chaplain of the Sixth Virginia Infantry during the American Revolution.

4th March 2015: Kings University, Odeomu, Osun State is granted a provisional license by the National Universities Commission. Kings University was founded by Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo led Kingsway International Christian Centre.


4th March 1513: Pope Julius II passes on to glory. He was a key figure in commissioning Michelangelo’s work in the Vatican and expanding the influence of the Catholic Church. He was aged 69.

4th March 2025: Stormzy (Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr), a British Gospel rapper and songwriter puts God on full display at Brits award after winning BRIT Award for Hip Hop/Rap/Grime. He is known for his popular song “Blinded By Your Grace. ” The event took place at London 02 Arena.
