17th March 1952: Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo is born in Kaduna State, Nigeria. He is the Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), London and Chancellor, Kings University, Osun State, Nigeria.

17th March 2007: Pastor Jerry Eze weds Eno Ene-Obong. They are the Global Lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International and the Convener of New Season Prophetic Prayer and Declaration (NSPPD) and Resident Pastor Streams of Joy Umuahia respectively. Their union is blessed with two children.

17th March 1859: Bishop Brown holds the First Ordination Service in Nigeria at the Anglican Church Cathedral of Saint Peter Ake, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. He ordained a priest and confirmed 180 members.

17th March 1968: Oral Roberts switches affiliation from Pentecostal Holiness to Methodist. This is because the United Methodist Church offered more leniency in doctrinal and moral issues than Pentecostalism.

17th March 1968: Oral Roberts and his wife, Evelyn are received as members of the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma by the then Pastor, Dr. Finis Crutchfield.

17th March 2023: Mummy Hilda Victoria Joanne Adefarasin is laid to rest. She was a woman rights activist and the Mother of Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the Founder of House on the Rock Church. Bishop David Oyedepo, Dr. Mensa Otabil, Professor Yemi Osibanjo (the then Vice President of Nigeria) were among the dignitaries present. She was 98 years old.
