He has not asked the seed of Jacob to seek Him in vain. God is not looking for who to use but who to bless.

His blessings make rich and adds no sorrow.

– No concerns over your spouse. It shall be good reports only.
You shall serve the Lord and He shall bless. When He blesses, He takes away sorrow. His blessings is minus sorrow. Church Gist.
– In the name of Jesus, your remaining days on earth, you will not see sorrow.
45 years of joy unspeakable, unpretentious joy, joy like a river in this Commission shows the reality of the joy of salvation. Church Gist.
– Therefore, in the name of Jesus, I decree the overwhelming joy of salvation over everyone’s life.

Today is ordained a family escape day.

– Your shall be a lineage of godly people, breaking new grounds on daily basis in Jesus name. So shall it be.
Supernatural doors shall be opening to you as you hold fast to the world making your boast in God. Church Gist. God has said it and He has told you, my part and your part. May we receive grace to take responsibility on our part, so He can confirm His Word.
– No doors of favour shall be closed to you again.
Our teaching series is UNDERSTANDING PATHWAYS TO SANCTIFICATION.
By way of introduction, sanctification is not a religious fable but a redemptive reality. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Romans 6:4. Resurrection entitles is to work in the newness of life. Romans 6:14-16. Grace has repositioned us above the dominion of sin. Verse 16 says “Whosoever ye yield yourself to obey…” It is a matter of yielding now. Church Gist. It is not sin making you and me to sin, it is me providing opportunity for sin to have its way. It is about yielding yourself. By redemption, sanctification shall become a reality. It is not old wives’ fables. It is not religious dogma.
We saw how Paul testified in 1 Thessalonians 2:10. Paul, the Apostle of Grace, said we behaved ourselves. Redemption is about godly behaviour. It is a choice to make to yield ourselves either to sin which will result in death or righteousness which will result in life eternal. Church Gist. We have the redemptive right to go and sin no more. Jesus never made an ordinary statement. He doesn’t crack jokes. He said to that man, “Go and sin no more lest a worst thing than this, come upon thee.” John 5:14. May that grace of go and sin no more come upon each one of us afresh today.
1 John 3:7-8. Good news! The work of sin has been destroyed, so anyone who chooses to can walk free. It’s one thing for the prison door to be open, it’s another thing for you to walk out of that door. Church Gist. The prison door was opened at resurrection for whosoever will to walk out of it.
– In the name of Jesus, the hostage of sin is blasted this morning.
Maybe I should go back to this and say it again, Christ is preparing mansions in Heaven and He hates waste because some must enter. They may be few but some must enter. Matthew 22:14. Church Gist. He was building the Ark for the entire human race but some entered, others just mocked and the flood flooded them away. Since some must enter, why not you? And why not me? Some must enter. “Everybody is doing it” okay, everybody was doing it and the flood flooded them away but some entered. You’ll enter!
Sir, the flood is coming again where the world will not know what else to do about life and the Ark is now in place, please enter the Ark of salvation, enter now before it’s too late. “Noah, Noah, open”. Church Gist. He said, “no, my friend, it’s late. The door is shut, we can’t open or the water will enter. The door is shut”. Before the door will be shut, please enter. Flood is coming where no government or authority will have any solution, flood is coming. Church Gist. When the flood of Noah came, if there were high rise buildings, they were all covered, mountains were all covered, there was no landing place for anything. Every high caliber, every low caliber, everybody came down. The flood is coming, please enter the Ark of sanctification for your exemption. The flood is here, please enter on time. Psalm 33:18-19. The flood is here, please enter the Ark so as to deliver your soul from death and to keep you and I alive in famine. Psalm 37:18. Church Gist. Flood or no flood, their inheritance shall be forever. 45 years of no debt and no lack, flood or no flood. Recessed economy, advanced economy, flood or no flood. Psalm 37:18-19. Church Gist. Please enter this Ark of sanctification, all we need is commitment to living a life that pleases God, just commit yourself to live a life that pleases God.
Genesis 5:24. Before his (Enoch) translation, he had this testimony that he pleased God. Hebrews 11:5. Church Gist. Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself and grace answered for him. Till the end of his time, he was on course with God.
What are some of the pathways to sanctification? The Bible said we should exercise ourselves unto Godliness, what are the things required of me live a Godly life?
1. Keep a Godly company. 1 Corinthians 15:33. Walk around with smokers, you start smelling smoke. Keep a Godly company. Psalm 1:1. Church Gist. So, the counsel you expose yourself to – where you stand and where you sit – has a lot with the outcome of your life.
One of those my favourite authors said, “you’ll be the same thing as you are today in 5 years time except for two things: the books you read and the company you keep”. You’ll be the same. Proverbs 13:20.
2. Engage the power of testimonies. Psalm 119:111. Somebody testified as a full-time professional prostitute, our soul winning team reaching out to her time and again, she’ll tear the papers. Church Gist. One day, she said, look, the testimony she read here looks like somebody like her, so she called the number that they put on the flyer and said, “I want to be in Church tomorrow”. She came to Church, gave her life to Christ, transformed spirit, soul and body, testified by herself. Church Gist. I mean, I’ve never heard full-time prostitute in my life but that’s what she wrote. Full-time prostitute, that’s what she does morning till night, Jesus cleared it out. The vilest offender who truly believes, from the hymn we sang, he’ll receive a pardon, the vilest offender.
The good news in all this is that it’s never late to be right. It’s never late to be right. You can make a U-turn today and face a right course of life. It’s never late to be right.
– In the precious name of Jesus, none of us will miss our place in Heaven!
Again, how many of us believe there’s Heaven? How many believe there’s Heaven? How many wants to make it there? How many know that there are things that won’t let people get there?
– Now be free from those things in the name of Jesus!
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, by the word of their testimonies.”
3. We can mortify the deeds of the flesh by engaging the fire of the Holy Ghost. If you look at Malachi, Chapter 3 paints a picture of the ministry of the Holy Spirit, how He has a mission to thoroughly purge us. He shall purify. Church Gist. Now he said, “He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver (that’s the fire dimension of the Holy Ghost) and shall purify the sons of Levi and purge them as gold and silver; that they shall offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. Then shall the offering of Judah and of Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord as in the days of old as in former years.”
Now if you check it from Verse One, you will see the Holy Ghost being painted here. He said, “Behold, I will send my messenger and shall prepare the way before me and the Lord whom you seek shall suddenly…” The Holy Ghost came down suddenly on the day of Pentecost (shall suddenly!) and He came down with cloven tongues of fire that sat on each of them suddenly. Church Gist. His mission among others is to purge us thoroughly so we can be fit for Heaven. So, His mission is to purge us, to refine us as silver and gold and that takes fire. Refining calls for fire. “As silver for the fining pot and gold for the furnace, so is a man to His praise.”
So, we are refined by the fire of the Holy Ghost. Romans 8:13. So we call on Him; “Holy Ghost fire, burn off every chaff in my thoughts, every chaff in my spirit, every chaff in my body. Burn it off. Holy Ghost with your fire. Burn off every chaff in my system. Purify me as silver and as gold. Church Gist. Purge me thoroughly by your fire.” Jude verse 20. So, we engage prayer in the Holy Ghost to fan the fire that burns off all the strongholds in our lives…Those are three of the ways we’re looking at this morning.
Now, what is the cost of ungodliness? What does it cost us to live an anyhow life, an ungodly life?
1. Sin stirs fear and dread. Proverbs 28:1. The first effect of sin in the Garden of Eden was fear. “Adam, Adam, where are you? I heard thy voice and I was afraid.” First effect of sin at the fall was fear. Sin will always stir fear. You can ask a thief, a professional thief. Anybody he sees is like a police whether he’s in uniform or not. (Starts hiding) The man doesn’t even know the meaning of a police. Church Gist. He has never been there before. But as he saw him, he says “ah, (and he hides).” ‘The wicked man flees when no man pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.’
Many years ago, I was driving and some police stopped me. They said, “What do you have in your trunk (boot)?” I said, “my thing, is your own lost?” He burst into laughter. “My thing!” What do I have? My own thing or is your own lost? The righteous will be as bold as a lion. If I had something there. I would have said, “please Sir, please allow me to go. I’m sorry.” No, I don’t have your thing. Church Gist. I don’t have anybody’s thing there. You can check anything you want. ‘And the fear of man will bring him into a snare.’ Every man is a victim of his fear. Job said, “The thing I greatly fear has come upon me.”
– May the siege of fear be over in your life today!
2. It blocks access to God’s presence. Ungodliness blocks access to God’s presence. Psalm 15:1-5…it’s all about sanctification. You can’t enjoy His presence without a commitment to living a sanctified life. Church Gist. Psalm 101:7…That is God speaking. You want to enjoy His presence, then commit yourself to living a sanctified life.
While I was writing appreciation to God for 45 years of seamless ministry. Among others I wrote, 45 years of no gimmicks, no tricks, no games and yet no lack. Life is so simple sir. Church Gist. Everybody needs a personal testimony of his walk with God. I’ve never said one thing in 45 years to cajole you to do something or anybody else. All by grace.
3. Ungodliness blocks access to divine favour.
The Man, Joseph was a godly man. His testimony is: “I fear God!” A slave became the heir of the Family. Genesis 42:18. Potiphar handed all his estates to him. Favour. Genesis 39:4-5. Genesis 39:21. Church Gist. He got to the prison, the dungeon of misfortune and he was favoured. They gave him an office, Amen! I mean, he was favoured in a most unfavourable environment. Favour will always follow the righteous. Psalms 5:12. Godliness triggers favour.
-Your life and my life will never lack favour again.
That’s why we must not join anybody to say that sanctification is impossible. Don’t let it deceive us. You know? Matthew 7:13-14.
-May you be listed among the few that will find it and hold it precious to yourself in the name of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 7:13-14. Can I have you say with me: “I’ve found it! I’m making it! I’ve found it! I’m making Heaven. I’ve found it, I must make the most of my life on this Earth with Heaven’s favour chasing after me with access to divine presence. With no fear of the present or future. No fear! So help me Lord! Amen!
Today is our Covenant Family Day. First recognize that by redemption, our lineage has changed. “Now are we sons of God” not later. Now! So, you and I now belong to a new family. 1 John 3:2. John 1:12. Ephesians 2:19. So at new birth, our lineage changed from the natural to the spiritual lineage. Church Gist. So, whatever is not obtained in your lineage is illegal in your life. It’s not permitted in your life. By redemption, we now belong to the lineage of God. We have God’s DNA in us by the mystery of redemption. That nature prohibits sin, it prohibits sickness, it prohibits disease, failure, frustration, depression.
-Therefore, every generational spell and enchantment associated with our biological lineage has no more hold in our lives.
You better grab this, otherwise you’ll be fearing what they fear. You better grab this today with your hand and catch it with your two teeth. Church Gist. Your up and down teeth. I got it! There should be no trace of the negative trait of your biological lineage in your life because redemption has repositioned you into God’s own family. So whatsoever does not hold in your new family is not permitted.
-Therefore, every misfortune, every trend of failure, every marital spell, every untimely death siege on anyone’s biological lineage is declared averted today.
Numbers 23:23.
-The mark of the wicked shall not be traceable in your life anymore.
Acts 3:26. So, we are candidates for His blessings. Proverbs 10:22. So, every track of sorrow in anyone’s biological lineage ends here today! The failure syndrome that may have been tracing anyone’s generation, it ends here today. The marital turbulence that has been the experience of people’s lineage, it ends here today. Church Gist. There are families, no matter how hard they work, they work and work and nothing seems to be working, no, it’s a siege. That siege is over today! There are some with the siege of abandoned projects, a family house that has been built for 20 years and they’re still there, the blocks are rotten, they are still there. Church Gist. Every siege of abandoned project is over today! That’s why you are here this morning, because God is releasing you today as the Joseph in your family. Through you, your family shall escape the holocaust. God is sending you today as your family’s Esther. Through you, your family shall be rescued!
When God blesses, no one can reverse it. Numbers 23:20. God’s blessings are irreversible by the wicked. So, the blessings coming on you today are declared irreversible! Church Gist. They are declared irreversible. Every negative trend in your biological lineage ends here today!
We were in a service here in 2022, someone fled from Ghana because there’s an idol in their family, if you don’t worship that idol, you are dead, as a male born. So, the father asked him, “Please, flee for your life” and came down here on a very glorious Midweek Service. Church Gist. Don’t toy with Midweek Services, don’t try to busy yourself for doing nothing while you wait there. The Word came, they called him from Ghana, the idol disappeared from the shrine. A Word came in his direction right there, without knowing who he was.
– So, everything chasing after you, by the Word of the Lord this morning, they disappear!
– Every shrine where they have taken your name, the idol vanishes.
– Anything holding down any aspect of your life from the region of the wicked, that is crushed today!
God is the Author of the family institution and He bestowed His blessings and when God blesses, curses are averted. Church Gist. The first family came under His blessing. Genesis 1:28. Genesis 12:2,3. When you come under His blessings, your enemies come under His curses.
– Therefore, in the name of Jesus, may the blessings of God you carry today silence your enemies forever!
What must we do then to secure the blessings of God upon our families?
1. Upon salvation, we should take our position as the Josephs and Esthers for the rest of our families from every form of satanic siege. Church Gist. Today, you know what some negative trends in your lineage has been. You’ve been given just 2, 3, minutes to cry out for mercy on behalf of your family lineage for their rescue in Jesus name. Genesis 45:5-7. You are in the Kingdom today to preserve the life of your family, nuclear and extended. Can I hear your Amen? Genesis 45:7. You are that Joseph for your family this morning. Church Gist. You will stand in the gap for them and demand the aversion of this age long negative trend in any form in the name of Jesus Christ. We saw the same thing happened with Esther and how God honoured it.
2. We must be committed to intercede for the salvation of our nuclear and extended family members. You will have rest when they enter into rest and they enter into rest through salvation. So, let’s start to pray. Let’s pray for our family members for their salvation, amazing things will happen. Church Gist. Take them on name by name and Jesus will honour it. Can I hear your Amen? Because God wants us to be saved and our household. Acts 16:30,31. God wants our household saved. He wants your children saved, He wants your extended family members saved.
Now, when God appeared to Cornelius, he called all his kinsmen. Kinsmen are extended family members, he called all his kinsmen, he called all his near friends and they all sat under the Word, the Holy Ghost came upon them. Church Gist. Can I hear your Amen? That’s your responsibility. You’ll be amazed at the wave of salvation in your natural family this year. As you take them on in prayers, Heavens will honour it. That’s how to push back every negative trend in our families.
3. We must enter into a covenant to serve God as individuals so as to bring an end to all ass@ults of the w!cked on our lives and families. Enter into a covenant so you can enter into the all-round rest. Church Gist. No concerns, no apprehênsions, no ev!l reports, no emergency calls. Enter into a covenant that will launch you into the realm of all-round rest.
Please note any truth of Scriptures; don’t count yourself out of it. All-round rest is a reality. Someone on the road where you’re sitting now is enjoying it. Don’t say it’s not possible. All-round rest is a reality. I mean, is every Nigerian a th!3f? You say “It is not possible not to stëål” No! If you are stêàl!ng, stop. Not everybody is stēål!ng. Now, does everybody have headāche in this service today this morning? Don’t say everybody have he@dache, they’re only pretending. Get free from your own head@che. Church Gist. Stop taking cover for your êv!l by saying everybody is doing it. Everybody is doing it does not make it right. If everybody is on the wrong side of the road, they will arrêst everybody. They will arrest what? So, stop my friends. All-round rest is a reality. It’s not a fable. It’s not a make-believe stuff. All round rest is a reality. You may not believe my testimony, but believe that of your ministry. This church enjoys all rest all-around. We don’t know who’s fight!ng us. We don’t know who’s not fight!ng us. All-round rest.
– That’s your portion by an avowed covenant to serve God as a priority!
Serving God as a priority secures you an all-round rest. Church Gist. Through Joseph, the whole generation of Israel was preserved.
– Through you, your biological lineage shall be preserved!
Enter into a covenant and God will honor it. Church Gist. Allround rest means that everything in and around you, nothing gives you trouble.
– Allround rest, that’s your portion!
– In the Name of Jesus Christ, today is declared your day!
– The end has come to that negat!ve trend in your lineage!
“And they entered into a covenant to serve the Lord God of their father with all their heart, with all their desire.” Verse 15 of 2 Chronicles chapter 15. “And all Judah rejoiced at the 0ath.” They were not coërced to it. Church Gist. It came out of them. “For they had sworn with all their heart, and sought Him with their whole desire; and He was found of them: and the Lord gave them…” What? “Rest.” And verse 19, “And there was no more w@r.”
There’s a w@r free zone in this life. Don’t tell me everybody is struggling. No, there’s a w@r free zone in this life. It comes out of a covenant to serve God with all your heart and with the whole of your desire. You are a kingdom dreamer. You are constantly dreaming value addition dreams. God takes you on and you enter into Him. All-round rest. Church Gist. No w@r. I said in that piece that 45 years of no strûggles in any area of the ministry. No strûggles. Ah, it’s a cheap possibility if you know the key. The key is enter into a covenant to serve God with all your heart. Now wait and with the whole of your desire. You’re a kingdom dreamer. Your desire. And then you enter the w@r free zone of life.
– War free zone of life, that’s your place!
– The days of struggl!ng for survival is over in your life!
– The days of strūggling for survival is over in your family in the precious Name of Jesus!
– The good news is God has brought here you to settle you!
Now, God’s blessings are ordained to go down through generations in our families from what we read at the opening of the service Psalms 112:1-3, “Blessed is the man that fears the Lord, that delights greatly in His commandments. Church Gist. His seed shall be mighty upon the earth,” That’s his children and his generation. “The generation of the upright shall be blessed.” So, it goes from his children to his children-children. “Wealth and riches shall be in his house and his righteousness endures forever.”
Let’s look at this following testimony as I close which validates this fact, a research was once carried out tracking 150 years of the descendants of two men that were clearly on the opposite sides of the divide. Number one was Jonathan Edward, a Godfearing man. This man preached a message titled, “The s!nner in the Hand of an @ngry God.” That message shook the world because people are holding their seat in the course of the message just for the earth not to open up and swallow them. Fiery man of faith, born 1703. Now they tracked 1,391st of his descendants. Church Gist. Among them was an American vice president, three senators, three governors, three mayors, 30 judges, 13 college presidents or university president we call it, 65 college professors, 100 lawyers, 60 physicians or doctors, specialists, 75 military officers, 100 preachers and missionaries, 60 prominent authors and 80 other public officials. What a lineage! 150 year. Now by contrast there’s one Max Jukes, and he was born 1720. Jukes was an ath3!st; he doesn’t believe in God, he got married to an ûng0dly woman which made it worse. Of Mark Juke’s 540 studied descendants, watch the gru3some end of people without God: 310 of them d!ed as paûpers. They could only track 540 of them. The others disappeared from the radar. 310 d!ed as paûpers. 150 were conv!cted crim1nals. There were seven mûrdērers there. Over 100 drûnkàrds and 190 female prost!tutes. That was the lineage of this ung0dly man.
So, godliness is securing your generation after you. Please commit to it. You are securing your generation after you. Don’t just be a church person. Be a Jesus person. Church Gist. You are securing the generation after you when they are counting your descendants 150 years after you are gone. May it be like Jonathan Edward’s lineage where there are no vagabonds, no miscreants, no criminals, no murderers, no drunkards, no prostitutes in the name of Jesus.
But no one ever arrives at a future that is not prepared for. So, prepare for the generation of your children by living a godly life today. Prepare for it. Let’s stop playing religious church games. Church Gist. Let’s aim at a quality walk with God. A quality walk with God, thereby preserving our coming generations. Blessed is the man that fears the Lord, that delights himself greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon the earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house and his righteousness endures for ever.
· You are the one God is talking about. Your generation will rise tomorrow and call you blessed.
That blessed be our great grandfather who placed us on this track of life. Blessed be our great grandmother who taught us the way to go and taught her children, her children taught our parents, our parents taught us. May they rise to bless you tomorrow. Church Gist. You will not leave bankruptcy for your children. I am an atheist, I don’t believe in any God. Okay, that’s what you saw. You will give birth to murderers, give birth to prostitutes.
