Walking In Dominion Over Sickness And Disease
We are in the last days, the days of supernatural restoration. Joel 2:23. The latter rain began on the day of Pentecost. Acts 2:16-17. So we are in the midst of the last days and God said He will restore all to you. Church Gist. The years that the locust have eaten, the cankerworm and the caterpillar. Joel 2:24-26. That’s God’s agenda under the latter rain. Joel 2:27. God is saying “I am restoring the dignity of my people. I am restoring the strength of my people.” That’s God’s agenda for the last days.
James 5:7. Christ is waiting for the last day to fully deliver heaven’s agenda, among which is full blown restoration. Church Gist.
- In the name of Jesus, whatever may be missing in anyone’s life today as covered by redemption shall be fully restored.
Please open your heart. We saw how God restored a womb here in our last Sunday service. Doctors said there was no more womb and then she fainted in the office. They carried her to the hospital and the same doctor confirmed her one month pregnant. Church Gist. The womb was restored, Jesus restored it.
- So whatever is missing in anyone’s life, any malfunctioning organ, every failing organ, every damaged organ, today by the Word of the Lord, I seem them restored.
Please recognise that the Bible is a manual for profitable living. All scriptures are given by the inspiration of God and it is profitable. Church Gist. The doctrines are profitable, the correction is profitable, the reproofs are profitable, the instructions are profitable, every aspect of this book is ordained for profitable living.

This is not a religious book, it is a manual for profitable living. Church Gist. This is not a religious book you put under your pillow, it is a manual for profitable living.
Young people listen to me, no believer has a future without following the dictates of scriptures. I was with my elder brother, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi at his crusade. He was telling them that we have been together since the 70s. It’s not yesterday stuff. For profitable living, this has continued to add value to my life daily. I would have died several times. Wake up, all these religious shows that people are doing about. Church Gist. You wear a coat, you carry a big Bible you don’t read. It is a manual for profitable living. It is the manufacturer’s manual. It is He that has made us, not we ourselves. So He wrote a manual to make His product perform at optimum. Every equipment manufacturer puts in a manual for you to maximize what that equipment has to offer. This is the manufacturer’s manual.
Hebrews 4:2. It takes faith in the revealed word to tap into the profiting. Faith!
Interestingly, the Bible is made up of 75 per cent instructions which this generation hates. This generation hates instructions Sir. “No, I have my mind, I know what I am doing.” Not only this generation, people living in the now. Church Gist. Majority hate instructions, they think “I should have a say. God can’t tell me everything to do”. Okay, let’s see how far your say can take you. When God speaks, I cancel my sayings. I discard them. Please wake up. If you check those four elements that made up the Scriptures – doctrines, corrections, reproofs and instructions. Doctrines means Kingdom principles, it’s one out of four. So, no one can succeed without engaging with the dictates of Scriptures. Church Gist. The principles won’t give you a pass mark, it’s only 1 over 4, no matter how smart you are with it. So, your principal course is instruction.
Someone has said, “they that walk, walk with many, they that run, run with a few but they that fly, fly alone”. Now, walk – we walk by common sense. Church Gist. A baby that is born does not carry two legs to say he wants to walk, common sense, it came with him. But to run, you have to learn, “on your marks”, they say, “key your eyes on the track, set, move at the shot of the gun”. You and the gun move together. But to fly, is instruction. You have a first class in mathematics, no trouble. You want to fly? Instructions. “No, I don’t feel like pressing that button”, you don’t have to feel, you’ll drop for nothing. Instructions. Church Gist. That’s why there are many grounded believers, they detest instructions, “you can’t tell me what to do. You know what? I’m a Master in Psychology, another Master in philosophy, another one in logic. So, it’s my area, I have a way of analysing things. That one that God said does not apply in the now, you know why? Climate change”. Church Gist. Be blowing grammar, you won’t fly. Instruction is the only way to fly.
This Commission is flying by instruction. “Shut down the Church in town” “yes sir!” Can I tell you men and brethren? I never called anybody on phone when God said we should move here, that, “please, make sure you come oh, you know you’re a very close person to the ministry”. I didn’t call one person and I embraced everyone I saw that didn’t come. Relax. Nothing will take you farther than instruction. Church Gist. I never told anybody in Kaduna that we were moving to Lagos, I just moved. God said, “move, I moved”. Please, jump at instructions, this ceremonial Christianity won’t help.
- Now, in the precious name of Jesus, every instruction coming your way today will keep adding back to your life forever!
Some of the healing instructions in Scriptures appear ridiculous but they all resulted in testimonies. For example, the healing of the deaf and the dumb. Mark 7:32-37. Church Gist. They may not make natural sense because they are higher than. Biblical instructions are higher than intellectual sense. That man got his ears opened and his tongue loosed. Now, there was a man born blind and Jesus came around and plastered the blind eye again and said, “go to the pool called Siloam and wash”. Church Gist. Very harsh instruction but the only way out. The man went, washed and came back seeing. John 9:1-5,6-11.
Now, they gathered some vegetables and was discovered to be poisonous and Elisha said, “bring me a meal” and threw the leftover bread into that pot and that was the end of the poison. Church Gist. The poison was neutralised. 2 Kings 4:39-41. Just do what He said to do. Whatever the Word says to do concerning any issue of your life is the answer to it.
There was a man by name, Naaman, a Syrian and a leper. He said, “I thought he will come and lay hands on me and call on his God. Me to go to Jordan and dip myself 7 times? No way! I have better rivers in my place. I have a swimming pool in my house, first floor and second floor” but you still have leprosy. Church Gist. One of his servants said, “oga, if they told you to do something harder, you’ll do it. What is the problem? Go to Jordan and dip yourself” and he did and his flesh was restored like that of a child. Church Gist. It appeared ridiculous but ended up being miraculous.
- In the name of Jesus, may you not trash any instruction that is ordained to change your story!
In those days, the water in the land was bitter and the elders of the City came to Elisha. 2 Kings 2:19-22. Church Gist. Anything that is bitter in your life, anything that enbitters you, when you respond to what God says to do, you won’t see it again. Remember His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts than our thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9. Mark 38:38.
It is foolishness to be shameful of what is gainful.

Let’s look at some biblical instructions for our total health. They are not admonitions, they are prescriptions. We established in this Teaching that Jesus is the Great Physician. Matthew 9:13. Jesus is the Great Physician. Christ is the Physician and His Word carries His prescriptions – What to do to secure our health and they are all available for personal application. Church Gist. Like doctors give you pills in the hospital. They don’t go from house to house to administer it, they leave you to administer it. So biblical prescriptions are left for us to apply. We are required to administer the covenant prescriptions for our healing, health and wholeness whenever we are challenged; not when a Church service is holding. But the profession of our faith is critical to maximizing our engagement with the mysteries of the Kingdom because whatever is not of faith is dead.
You didn’t just take the bread and drink. What are you doing? “Lord, I receive this as Your flesh for my strength. I receive this as Your blood to manifest Your nature that is immune to sickness and disease and I thank You for it.” That’s a profession of faith. Hebrews 10:23. Church Gist. The reason why these things don’t deliver in many lives is that there is no profession of faith, it is just religious activism. Walk away because whatever is not of faith is sin. It is faith that gives life to our responses to Scriptures. Therefore, it is not enough to believe in the efficacy of these mysteries, we must declare our faith to see them deliver.
We will be looking at four of them quickly this morning and these mysteries include: Holy Communion, The Anointing Oil, Feet Washing and Prophetic Mantle. Now, in administering the Holy Communion which has no overdose. No overdose, no side effects. “As often as ye do this, you do it in remembrance of the price that I have paid for your total health.” ‘As often’ so the dosage is ‘as often’ – as is required. Church Gist. Thank You Jesus. 1 Corinthians 11:26. It is not an Old Testament phenomenon, it is not a New Testament Phenomenon, it is an all-time phenomenon – till He comes. It always leaves you with something to show that this is not a religious ritual, it is a potent spiritual force that leaves you and me with something to show. Praise God. Amen.

As often as you do this, you do show the Lord’s death till He comes. Thank You Jesus. So when I am taking the Communion, I believe in the Holy Communion as stated in Scriptures. John 6:48-58. Church Gist. I believe it is a covenant toast for my healing, health and wholeness. 1 Corinthians 11:30. When it is mere religion, it leaves nothing to show. But when your faith is actively engaged, it delivers strength, health and longevity.
-In the name of Jesus, I decree that today marks the end of the assault of sickness and disease on your life.
What else do I profess? “I believe the Blood content of the Communion infuses the nature of Christ because the life of the flesh is in the Blood and His nature is immune to sickness and disease. Therefore, as I partake of this Communion, I take delivery of my immunity against the assault of sickness and disease.” John 6:54-55. He is off this realm, He lives in another realm. Church Gist. No medication under the Sun compares with it in potency. Please, don’t be religious about it. Be intentional when you administer the Communion. And now, I believe that I’m empowered to live like Jesus through the mystery of the Communion. That is, to live a sickness-free life. John 6:57. John 14:9. So He was living like the Father. And when we eat His flesh, we are empowered to live like Him. Therefore, our dominion over sickness is sealed among others through the mystery of the Communion.
-Now, the remaining days of your life which are many, sickness will stay off your territory, disease will stay off your territory in the name of Jesus.
Please take along with you today Hebrews 10:23. The profession of your faith is vital in administering the mysteries.
- The anointing oil. What do I profess here? “I believe that the anointing oil is ordained to destroy every yoke of the wicked, that is, anything choking my health.” Isaiah 10:27. “By this anointing, I decree according to the Word of God the destruction of every yoke on my health. Church Gist. Yoke! You can’t stand it. It’s heaven’s verdict that yokes be destroyed by the anointing.” You take a shot of it, “yoke – you are declared destroyed by the Word of the Lord.”
What do I profess? “I believe in the healing power in the oil.” Mark 6:7, 12-13. Jesus gave them the oil as His instrument for healing the sick and James said, “is any sick among you? Jesus gave us the oil. Church Gist. Everyone we anointed got healed; call upon the elders of the Church.” I believe in the healing power that’s domiciled in the oil. It’s not a church doctrine, not a religious ritual. And what?
Listen, “I believe in the presence of the Spirit of the Lord in the oil which sets free from captivity and opens prison doors. This anointing destroys every form of captivity and opens every prison door where I’ve been kept. I’m free. The anointing sets free.” Church Gist. Now when David was anointed with oil, the Bible said, “the Spirit of the Lord came upon him from that day forward.” 1 Samuel 16:13. And Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me for He has anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted.” Luke 4:18. The Spirit of the Lord heals the brokenhearted, delivers the captives, it recovers sight of the blind and sets at liberty them that are bruised. That’s the anointing. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me.”
So, we take the shot of the oil to enforce our freedom from every assault of the wicked. It’s an all-time prescription. “Is any sick among you?” Church Gist. Don’t wait for when they have anointing Service in Church. “Is any sick among you?” Engage His prescription for your rescue.
Among others, the anointing exempts us from the plagues of the day. We are in the last days. We had one pandemic some time back, the whole World was jittery. But God exempted you. COVID 19 had no hold on you. Church Gist. Psalm 105:13-15. So, it’s a seal of exemption. ‘Lord, with this oil on my head, I’m exempted from all the evils of the day.” So, it’s a thing to carry along.
We all heard the story of one of us here who called by where he saw ‘to let’ and the brother-in-law was looking for an apartment. So she called by and as she entered, he saw three hefty men just in pants and said, “you have come to the end of the World.” They shut the door behind her. She had a baby at the back and a toddler in the hand. “You have come to the end of the World.” She opened her bag, took her oil, splash on the floor; it caught fire. Literal fire. Church Gist. Please, don’t toy with these things. Literal fire. They said, “Let them go. Let them go. Let them go.” The other gang person couldn’t…He said, “I can’t get to the door.” She took her mantle from her bag, waved towards the door. The door opened on its own. You are empowered to live a conqueror’s life. Don’t toy with your instrument. Don’t toy with your instrument of triumph. Life testimony, not make up!
And as you take the shot of the oil, “I believe in the mystery of the fan and the fire in the oil as stated in Scriptures. Holy Ghost, sweep me clean on the inside. Church Gist. Preserve the organs of my body and burn off every chaff with your unquenchable fire.” Don’t toy with these. They are instruments of power.
- Feet washing: This mystery is a medium through which our missing parts in redemption are delivered. Remember Peter said, “Thou shalt never wash my feet.” Jesus looked at him: “Peter, you think I’m joking here? Church Gist. If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.” John 13:8. When Peter saw the seriousness of the look of Christ: “Oh, not only my feet, but my head and my hands!” Christ was too busy to be having fun, too busy to be cracking jokes.
Feet washing is a medium through which our missing parts in Christ are delivered. Question, what are my parts in redemption? When Christ rose from the dead, He obtained for you and me, what is it? Power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessings. They constitute our sevenfold redemptive package. Church Gist. And the thief is on the loose to r0b as many as possible of their part. And Christ unveiled the mystery of feet washing to enforce the delivery of our missing parts. Strength connotes vitality. Christ paid for your health and vitality, and the enemy is challenging it. It’s not real.
So what do I profess? I believe that with the ministry of feet washing, whatever is not speaking in my life of my redemptive provisions in Christ shall be restored. Can I hear your Amen? As I dip my feet in this water, I believe in the full restoration of my health, my strength, and wholeness. I believe in the full… Church Gist. You are making professions of your faith. You are declaring what you believe. You’re not just washing your feet as if you’re in the bathroom. No, you’re engaging a mystery as instructed by the Great Physician. “If I wash thee not, some part in me that you have will not be delivered.”
Now, here is a mystery, I use my hand as an extension of the hands of Christ as I wash my feet. I shall begin to tread upon serpĕnts and sc0rp!ons, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt. You know what He said? He said your feet shall be iron and brass. Iron and what? So it is a feet treatment mystery. Church Gist. It empowers your feet and my feet to tread upon serpents and over the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. It makes your feet like hinds’ feet and get you upon your high places because that’s where you belong. You belong to the realm of honor, the realm of glory, the realm of blessings. So these are not make-believe stuff. Please stop responding religiously to this. Be intentional. Thank you, Jesus.
- The Prophetic Mantle. What do I profess? I believe in the mantle ministry of prophets as seen in Elijah and Paul. And Elisha took the mantle that fell from Elijah. And when he too had smitten the water, the water parted hither and thither, and Elisha went over, Church Gist and the m0ckers bowed at his feet. Whatever cleared the way for Elijah, clears the way for Elisha. Because if you don’t profess it, you can’t possess it. You profess it to possess it. You don’t profess it, you cannot possess it.
One of us was traveling from Maiduguri through Yobe on his way to Abuja. And then he saw the road was dry. So he tied his mantle on his wrist, put another one on the mirror, and he ran into these B0k0 H@ram people. He stretched his hand from the car. “Oh, he has a white hankerchief! Let him go!” There’s no m@d d0g that doesn’t know fire. Are there no mad people in town? Why are they not pushing them away from fire? You see fire, you run. Madness no reach. Church Gist. No m@dness reaches fire. When you move near fire, you move. Do you think in your life that one B0k0 H@ram will ask me, “Where are you going?” I’m heavily mantled. No game. My son, David, the baton has been passed over to you. I’m not just hanging around here doing this. Amen. But here you are, your mantle you’re using to blow your nose, it doesn’t make any meaning to you.
- But from today, sir, whatever clears the road for this Commission clears the way for you!

And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul. God was the one working, not Paul. God wrought special miracles through the hand of Paul so that handkerchiefs and aprons were taken Church Gist from his body to them that were s!ck. Their d!seases departed and the 3v!l spirit went out of them. Prophetic mantles are real, and evil spirit went out of them.
- Every ĕv!l spirit tormenting any aspect of your life goes out today never to return!
We are told here in Luke 4:25, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land. But unto none was Elias sent, save unto Sarapat, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. Church Gist. God sent prophets to His people… He said, “I am the Lord, I changeth not.’’ He sent prophets to His people.
Now, last Sunday, wait a minute… I had some delegates from Kenneth Hagin’s Ministries in church. I never knew they were there and here I was teaching and referencing Kenneth Hagin on the book I read in 1980. Church Gist. So when I saw them after the service, I never knew they were in the service. I said, “You know something, you can’t be here 3 months and not hear about Hagin.” He said, we heard it this morning also. The prophet you are ashamed of, his mantle cannot work in your hands. You better keep quiet and stop playing religion. His mantle will not work in your hands forever. Elisha, the Lord will take your master from you today. He said, “Quiet, hold your peace my friend. I know where I’m going.”
The prophet you do not identify with, what he carries cannot impart on your life. You know I’m a covenant practitioner. On this subject, I’m a technocrat. I know what I’m doing. The prophet you don’t identify with publicly, what he carries cannot manifest in your life openly. It cannot manifest in your life openly. I don’t believe in that, It won’t work. Feet washing…No, no, no, no, It won’t work. You know what papa is saying…I don’t take more than 2% of it. That’s why you don’t have 1% of the effect. You can’t have, God never lies. Church Gist. Christ could not impart on them because a prophet is not without honor except in his hometown. He said he doesn’t want. You better wake up. If up till now I’m still shouting Hagin at this little level that God had brought me, I’m still shouting Copeland, I know what I’m doing. I know they were there last Sunday. Put your sticker on the car. No, it’s my car. It’s for business. You know why? So they will now say I’m a winner. Now are you a loser? These are very simple things.
I got to the crusade yesterday and they said, “I want you to spend as much time as you want.” I said, No, I’m not the one preaching. Church Gist. You just told me I should be here. I am now here.” So he said, ”No, you have enough reserve. You can always pull out anything. You better wake up and be spiritual. Be spiritual!
- Prophetic mantle works. From now it will begin to work in your life like never before in the name of Jesus!
Now, I believe God sent this prophet to me for my rescue from every captivity of hell, including sickness and disease. God still sends prophets to His people today. Another profession, I believe that the gift and calling of God upon his life is without repentance. What God has put in him continues to work. Amen. Church Gist.I believe that. I believe this mantle from him carries within it all miracles, signs and wonders that God has been bringing about in his life. Therefore, my own is there. Did you see how that young chap came out of the jaws of death? You heard the testimony this morning. The instruments of war were put together and Jesus came true for them.
- No one dies young in this place!
So I therefore tap into the special miracle I desire concerning my state of health today. Same with faith. Where is the Lord God of my prophet? Not where is Elijah? Where is the Lord God of Elijah?
- The one walking through Elijah, Walk my own today!
Well, wisdom is not just knowing the right thing to do. Wisdom is knowing the right thing to do from the word and doing it. Church Gist. An end has come to every assault of sickness and disease and all forms of oppressions in your life. God has vowed to restore health to you and He has put the instruments, the prescriptions required to command dominion over sickness and disease. You will not toil with it in the name of Jesus. Congratulations!

I came across the mission of the communion in 1976. I read the testimony of Wigglesworth in 1977 and it became my covenant medication for health and vitality.

The Lord revealed to me the mystery of the anointing oil. Church Gist. All hell broke loose but Jesus prevailed and everybody is now a beneficiary of it. In the name of… because light shines the brightest at the source.
