Mrs TINA BAWA.

Mrs Bawa was born on 9 June, 1968 to a Benue State family of Late Pa John Ebute Abah and Mama Angelina Abah OP in Lagos, Nigeria. She attended Army Children School, Minna Niger State and LG EA Primary School, Agbaha, Otukpa, Benue State,(1975 – 1980). She proceeded to Otukpa Community Secondary School where she obtained the West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate.

In 1986, she obtained her first Aviation Certificate Training at the School of Flight Attendants, Ikeja, Lagos, on Air Ticketing and Reservation and a second Aviation Certification from the NNA Training School Ikeja, Lagos in 1989 before pursuing an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Business Administration from Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi (1989 – 1991). In 1992, she had her third Aviation Certification from the Aer Lingus Aviation Training School, Ireland, Dublin and got certified as a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in 2000. She studied Psychotherapy and Counselling at the Canadian Institute of Christian Counsellors (CICC) where she was awarded the Order Pastoral Counsellor (2001 – 2002). She attended the Pan-African Christian University, Abuja (2003 – 2004) before obtaining a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration and Management at Dorben Polytechnic, Abuja (2006 – 2007).

In 1999, the Gathering of Deborah started in her home with women who just came around to gist, it later became a prayer group which to her greatest shock was bringing multiple testimonies. News spread across and more women began to attend the every Thursday Prayer Meeting in her living room, Lagos, Nigeria. In 2000, at the 1st year Anniversary and Conference of the Gathering of Deborah held in Lagos, she was officially commissioned into ministry by Pastor (Mrs.) Nike Adeyemi, Founder, Real Woman Foundation and Co-Senior Pastor, Daystar Christian Center, Lagos. The Gathering metamorphosed into the Holy Ghost Women Prayer Ministry, which later grew to become Tina Bawa Ministries International in 2001 as a broader and more impactful ministry.

Before obeying the call, she worked with several organizations such as: The defunct Okada Airline Limited, Duncan Group of Companies and even Shitlong Nigeria Limited a company she started in 1996. In 2003, she moved to join her husband in Abuja, the Gathering of Deborah continued in Lagos and in no time began in Abuja. In September, 2017, she was ordained a Bishop of the International Communion of Charismatic Churches (ICCC) in a programme officiated by the Prelate, Archbishop Kirby Clements and the 2nd Prelate, Archbishop Margaret Benson-Idahosa. She still coordinate the Gathering of Deborah, Nigeria Women Arise (NIWA), The Compassionate Women, and The Home Finishing Academy (HOFA). She started the Woman, Dare to Dream Foundation in 2015 and sits on the board of various companies, institutions and NGO.

She is happily married to Dr. Godfrey Bawa Shitgurum(MON), the union is blessed with children. She has authored several books including the best-selling ‘The Extraordinary Woman’. She has reached out to over a thousand women through the Extraordinary Woman Conference and through her charity reached out to the disabled almajiris and even to Mosques.
