Anytime you see a person who is doing anything exceptional, it is not luck, and let me just even be bold to say it is not favour, it is not grace. God is not selective with grace, God’s grace is abundant to all but there is something called frustrating the grace of God. Being graced by God is God’s investment in you, being disciplined is your investment in yourself.

When Paul is saying I can do all things through Christ, he is not talking about grace, he is talking about discipline. The reason why people win is because they are temperate in all things. And then he talked about food is for the belly and the belly for food and God will destroy both it and them; it, is the stomach and them, is the food, in other words, if you live your life based on immediate pleasure, you may have a great dream but you’ll never win in life because for those who will win in life, they should be able to do all things.

All things that edify, I must be able to do them. Never look at someone who is exceptional in any field and just say God has blessed him, that is the lazy man’s observation. Whom has God not blessed? Tell me somebody that God hasn’t blessed? The beggar on the road side, you think God hasn’t blessed him? He has life, he can breathe, he has a brain, he has legs, he has hands. That is a blessing, where is he? Begging!

Paul says I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me, I can do anything that God wants me to do so if I know God has called me to be a musician, I have to train my voice, I cannot just sit and hope that the anointing of God will just come upon me and I can just sing. This kind does not come by grace but by training daily.

If you believe where you are going is far then what you load must be deep. You can’t believe God is sending you on a far journey and you load yourself light. Your tank must be full and you must be in charge of everything that is required for you to be that kind of person God wants you to be.

I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me, in other words, it also means I can go through anything that God allows me to go through. Nothing is impossible for me to handle. So Paul says, if I am hungry, I will go through it, if I have abundance, I will go through it, when I am naked, I will be fine. He actually said that nothing shall separate me from the love of God. In other words Paul said, I can handle any situation.
