OUR INHERITANCE IN CHRIST IS FREELY GIVEN BUT IT MUST BE FORCEFULLY TAKEN.
EVERY PROVISION OF GOD FOR HIS PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS PROVOKE OPPOSITION FROM THE ENEMY SO THEY MUST BE VIOLENTLY TAKEN.
HEALING, HEALTH AND WHOLENESS ARE YOUR RIGHTS AND INHERITANCE IN CHRIST.
HOW GOD DELIVERED BISHOP OYEDEPO FROM TUBERCULOSIS AS A STUDENT.
HEALING IS YOUR RIGHT BY REDEMPTION BUT IT BECOMES YOUR POSSESSION WHEN YOU ENGAGE FORCE.
PRESS YOUR WAY BEYOND DOUBT, UNBELIEF AND DISCOURAGEMENT INTO YOUR DESIRED MIRACLE.
HOW GOD DELIVERED MY SON FROM STAMMERING.
DON’T ALLOW ANYTHING TO STOP YOU FROM PRESSING ON.
KEEP PRESSING THROUGH IN FAITH AND CONFIDENCE AND SEE WHAT GOD DOES IN YOUR LIFE.
I KNOW GOD HEARS ME WHEN I PRAY – Bishop David Oyedepo.
IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO PRAY, IT IS PRAYING IN FAITH THAT DELIVERS OUR PORTION.
THE ALTAR OF PRAYER IS NOT THE ALTAR OF GUESS WORK; WE MUST COME WITH FULL ASSURANCE TO SECURE OUR ANSWERS.
- Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr on “ACCESSING HEALING WONDERS IN REDEMPTION” at August 2024 Week Of Spiritual Emphasis Day One || LFC Canaanland || 7th August 2024 ||
Tonight, we are commencing these series of teachings that we’ll be carrying through our various Midweek Services and our Week of Spiritual Emphasis that takes place this week and it is captioned “ACCESSING HEALING WONDERS IN REDEMPTION”.

It is important that we’re reminded from God’s Word that by redemption, the price for our healing has been fully paid. Isaiah 53:4,5. Matthew 8:17. From these 2 Scriptures, we have a picture of the payment of the price for each one of us to experience healing, health and wholeness. Church Gist. The word redeemed has to do with ‘buy back’. 1 Corinthians 6:20. So, we have been bought and among the purchase privileges is the privilege of healing, health and wholeness. So we have a right to healing. It is part of what Jesus purchased for us.
- and I believe God that for each one of us, beginning from this night onward, whatever is contrary to that healing right shall be terminated upon this Mountain.
- if you believe it, say a louder Amen!
This is why we saw Jesus going about healing and delivering. Matthew 4:23,24. Healing in every corner, delivering in every place. That’s why Jesus went about doing that. Matthew 8:16. We saw Jesus manifesting healing and the good news is that what He did yesterday, He’s still doing today and what He does today, He will do it forever. Church Gist. Hebrews 13:8. So what He did yesterday, healing the sick, delivering the captive, He’s still doing today, healing the sick, delivering the captive. He’ll still be doing tomorrow, healing the sick, delivering the captive. The same power, the same unction, the same ability, the same capacity is available to you and to me today.
- therefore, whatever came with you and I as any hold of sickness, disease, pain, discomfort, satanic oppression, upon this Mountain, there shall be deliverance!
- if you believe it, say a louder Amen!
- upon this Mountain there shall be deliverance in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
We see from Scriptures that Jesus both heals instantly and through the process of recovery. Matthew 8:1-4. Church Gist. As soon as he met with Jesus, the captivity was broken. John 4:46-52. As soon as Jesus spoke the Word, the recovery began.
- for somebody here tonight, as the Word of the Lord is coming your way, everything that has kept you captive will set you free!
- as the Word is coming your way tonight, your recovery begins!
- if you believe it, say a loud Amen!
But there are vital protocols to accessing the healing wonders available to you and me in redemption and tonight we are going to be looking at one of those vital keys and that is The Healing Wonders in the Violent Prayer of Faith. Church Gist. Tonight, I’ll like our Spirit Man to be opened because I believe that as each one of us receive the Word and engage with it tonight, there will be swift delivery of our miracles!
-if you believe it, say a louder Amen!
There are 3 major thoughts that I want us to capture tonight from God’s Word.
1: Our inheritance in the Kingdom often demands violence or a violent approach for delivery. It is true that our inheritance is freely given but it must be forcefully taken. Matthew 11:12. So, our inheritance must often be forcefully or violently taken and this is because every provision of God for the people of God will always provoke opposition from the enemy. Deuteronomy 2:24. “I have given you the inheritance but it must be forcefully taken.” The enemy wants to resist the access that we have to that inheritance. Church Gist. 1 Corinthians 16:9. So there is a need to apply the force of violence. We must engage the force of violence to take delivery of that which God has provided for us. So, healing has been provided for us, we didn’t pay anything for it. Jesus paid the price for it and He paid for our total and absolute healing. But even though it is freely provided, you and I must engage force to take delivery of it. It is our right. It is our inheritance. It is God’s provision for us but we require force to take delivery of it.
Many of us have heard this testimony before of God’s Servant our Father, he said as a young boy, as a student, he was plagued with tuberculosis. He said one night he got up, then observed that all the boys in the hostel had shifted their beds away from him because of that tubercular cough, every body was keeping distance. He said he got up that night and went behind the hostel to a little rock and stood on it and he prayed a violent prayer, “Lord, if you are the One that did all that I’ve seen in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, do my own or…” That is violence. Church Gist. He engaged the force of violence. Now, the question is, when did healing become his right or inheritance? The day he was saved. But when did it become his possession? The day he engaged force. The day you are saved, it is your right, the day you engage force, it is your lot. You take your lot by force. It is our right by redemption, but it becomes our possession by force. This is why the force dimension must be engaged to see delivery of that which belongs to us.
- tonight, I see each one of us taking that which belongs to us by force.
-somebody believes it, say a louder Amen! - none of us will be cheated of our inheritance again.
- if you believe it, say a louder Amen!
2: This is why more often than not, we have to press our way into our healing. Mark 2:1-12. I like you to picture that. We’re not talking about ‘there was staircase’. We’re not talking about ‘there was lift’. The Bible does not really tell us that there was rope. So how did this Man being carried on a stretcher get carried to the top. Church Gist. You know that carrying must have involved a lot of danger. But here was this Man willing to risk everything to press in order to get into the presence of Jesus. Mark 2:4,5,11,12. He pressed his way to his miracle. You see, more often than not, it will take a press. Philippians 3:14. More often than not, it will take a press. Luke 16:16.

Somebody may wonder, “Press through what?” Press beyond doubt. Press beyond unbelief. Press beyond discouragement. Pressing through. James 1:6-8. So you must press beyond the place of doubt. We must press beyond the place of unbelief. The Bible calls it the evil heart of unbelief. Hebrews 3:12. Church Gist. We must press beyond the place of discouragement. When that Man was taken to the door and the place was full, he may have thought to himself, “Oh, maybe it’s not my day. I can’t get before Him” But he had to press beyond discouragement.
When blind Bartimaeus began to cry out to Jesus, the Bible tells us that the people told him “Keep quiet”. That’s discouragement. But he pressed beyond discouragement until he got his miracle. Church Gist. You see, it will more often than not take a press for us to arrive at the place of our miracle. It will take a press. “Every man presses his way into it”. So, the violence requires among others, a press, refusing to let anything hold you back, a press.
I remember my son as he began to grow, at a point, he started talking and one day out of the blue, he started stammering heavily, very serious stammer and one day I was studying and suddenly, my Spirit Man got quickened. I saw in Scripture in Mark chapter 7 verse 31 all the way down to verse 35, how Jesus took a man (who had speech impediment) My spirit came aggressively alive, I was in the office that day. Church Gist. I rushed back home and I took him and I touched his tongue and I said “In the name of Jesus, I command your tongue to be losed”. Now listen, after I said that, I asked him to talk to me and when he began speaking, he was still stammering heavily. You see, that is the enemy trying to show you a picture of discouragement. I said no, the Word of God came back to me. I began to study, I saw Mark 11:23. Church Gist. I said “Lord, but I have spoken” He made me look at it again. I said “But I have spoken”. He said “Now, begin to make him say every day, I can speak clearly. Let him say it every day.” So, I told the mother, everyday when he wakes up “I can speak clearly” Before we knew it, as he began to say “I can speak clearly”, the stammer began to reduce, the stammer began to reduce until the stammer erased. Now in our family, he’s the one that talks the most.
Violence of faith, refusing to be discouraged. Refusing to let loose. Mark 9:14-28. Now listen, Jesus arrived and the demons seemed to be agitated the more by His presence. You see, for many people, that would sound like discouragement but Jesus didn’t let loose. Church Gist. “I came here so that this boy can be free” and when they asked Jesus, the Bible said they went back privately and asked Him, “Lord, why could we not set this boy free? We have tried. Why could we not set this boy free?” He said “Because of your unbelief. Howbeit, this kind goeth not out but by prayer”.
I believe it was Kenneth Copeland I heard said something some years ago that stuck with me. He said he strongly believes that the point where those Disciples faith dissappeared was when they brought the boy and the same way the boy reacted when he saw Jesus…they brought the boy to the Disciples, “this boy has a problem, this is what takes place” and the boy just began to react in front of the Disciples. Church Gist. He said he believes that must be the point that those Disciples faith evaporated. You brought somebody to be relieved from problem and it looks as if when he came he was better than when he arrived to us. He said he believes that must be the time their faith disappeared. But Jesus looked at the situation, pressed beyond what He could see. He was not moved by what He could see. He was only affirming the Word of God and immediately, He spoke and instantly, there was a response and the miracle was delivered.
The key to you and to me is this, don’t allow anything stop your press. Press through in faith. Press through with confidence. Church Gist. Press through being assured of the outcome and you will see what God does in your life.
- I see God stepping in on somebody’s behalf today in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
As we begin to conclude, it is important to note that we must come boldly with the full assurance of faith in prayers to receive our healing miracles. Church Gist. Hebrews 10:22. No room for doubt. Come boldly with full assurance of faith. That’s what it takes to take possession of our healing miracles.
Matthew 9:27-29. Remember, the Altar of Prayer is the Altar of Mercy. I know you came to pray, but did you come with faith? I know you came to demand, but did you come with the faith that delivers? So, it was not just according to their prayers, but it was according to the faith in their prayers. Church Gist. It is not enough to pray, it is praying in faith that delivers our portion. So the faith content of our prayer is the difference maker in our prayer. So we come to prayer violently but faith filled. Our heart must be loaded with faith. That’s what positions us to take delivery of our portion. Shout hallelujah!

We have the example of Hezekiah in Scriptures. Isaiah 38:1-5. Now, if you see that Scripture, it will look as if maybe Hezekiah was crying out of discouragement thinking it has gotten to the end, but jump to verse 10, you will see that he was crying unto God on the basis of His Word. He knew something. Isaiah 38:10. “The balance is not complete oh” That’s what he was telling God. “I know my rights. There is a balance that is yet to accrue to me” and God had to tell Isaiah, “Go back. This Man has seen something. Church Gist. Tell him I’ve added that balance. I have returned it back to him. 15 more years have been added back to him.” You see, so the prayer was not a prayer of guess work. It was a prayer of faith. Isaiah 43:26. That’s what Hezekiah did and with that we saw his miracle instantly delivered. You see, so the Altar of Prayer is not the altar of guess work. It’s not where we go to try. It’s where we go to position ourselves in faith to take delivery of our portion.
I’ve shared this testimony many times. 2008, precisely in December. God’s Servant, I was sitting down with him and he said to me, “David, I know God hears me when I pray” You see, it is not just arriving in prayer that makes a difference, it is how you come to prayer that makes a difference. Church Gist. Hebrews 4:16. So many times, the matter of the prayer is settled before you arrive at the prayer. It is whether faith is in the heart or not that makes the difference. He said “I know God hears me when I pray”. It was a simple statement but it was a statement full of assurance.
I discovered that there are many people that pray but not many are sure when they pray. In fact, many will be surprised if there’s an answer. That shows you how unsure they are. But what provokes potency in our prayers is the assurance in our prayers. The faith in our heart when we pray. Church Gist. When you go before the Lord and call upon Him, what are you expecting? What is your posture? What is your anticipation? Are you anticipating an intervention that will be practical for all to see? That’s what makes the difference. The faith in our prayers. So we must come full of assurance when we approach the Altar of Prayer and then we begin to secure our answers.
- I see grace coming upon each one of us for this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We must note that violent prayers of faith usually triggers the flow of healing virtue. Church Gist. When you and I engage in violent prayers of faith, the healing virtue is stirred up to flow in our direction.
- tonight, I see that virtue reaching out to each one of us in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The charge therefore to us is simple, if you and I are going to take delivery of our portion, it must be by force. If we are going to engage force, it will take us pressing the way through everything that stands between us and that which we are desiring to receiving from Him and if we are going to do that effectively, we must do it with the force of faith. Church Gist. Our faith must be intact on the Altar of Prayer to take delivery of our portion.

- tonight, I see each one of us securing swift, instant and immediate answers in the name of Jesus Christ.
