“I will restore health unto you and heal you of all thy wounds.” Those are words from the mouth of our God who never lies. Church Gist. His quickening power resides in that Word. May we be divinely quickened by that Word tonight.
ACCESSING HEALING WONDERS IN REDEMPTION has been our teaching series for our Midweek services for the month concluding tonight. Tonight we are looking at something very interesting, we are looking at Healing Wonders In Praise. Not praise as an item of a church program but praise as a lifestyle. Not praise to set the stage for a prayer meeting or family prayer time. Praise as a lifestyle carries amazing healing virtues. Remember it is our depth of spiritual understanding of any truth that determines the outcome of it in our lives. Matthew 13:23. They all received the seed in a good ground, the only variable in that statement is understanding. Church Gist. So the outcome of any practice or engagement of any truth is a function of our level of spiritual understanding of that truth. Those of us who grew in church know that tithe and offering were a part of religious activities of the church but it wasn’t changing anybody’s story because both the preacher and the one preached to, none had an understanding of the meaning. It was more of a donation to keep the church growing so it brought nothing back. People were wallowing in poverty yet they were giving because they had no understanding of what they were doing. It is worse for praise. Remove praise from Church Items, many people are totally praise barren.
Psalm 47:5-8. Praise stirs God up on His throne. Sing ye praises with understanding. The last few days God has been speaking to me on the missing place of spiritual training. People train on softwares, train on management, train on accounting packages. People don’t believe in spiritual training so they are spiritually grounded. Yet to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Church Gist. The secret of this Church is the training mandate that came early. For the first time, Bible training opened up to non ministers, to non pastors, they were privileged to go to Bible College. Before if you go to Bible College, you have a call to ministry, that is the meaning. We pioneered that so that soldiers, police, everybody was going through training. So we have a church of men and women that have some good level of spiritual understanding of what is going on.
People don’t believe that walking with God requires skill in the Word. Hebrews 5:13. It requires skill. People are sitting down here waiting for faith to manifest, it won’t. Faith is a cultivation. Faith is built. Jude 1:20. We build faith, we don’t wish faith on. Church Gist. Are there people in this church who have never read a book on thanksgiving and praise in their life? Yes! They don’t think it means anything. They don’t think it is worth understanding. No truth will deliver beyond our level of spiritual understanding. There is so much power in praise.
I saw myself leading the first Hosanna Night. I never heard it in my life, I saw Jesus enter Jerusalem. Wild praise erupted! He entered the temple under that praise, wild praise was stirred up and he took a scourge and began to chase off everyone buying and selling. Church Gist. The Lord told me then in 1979, “When you praise me, you have stirred me up to chase away everything buying and selling in your life.” So I said get ready for wild praise. There were no musical instruments but we praised God to places. There is so much in it.
What is in praise? The wonder working God dwells in the midst of praise. Exodus 15:11. God’s fearful acts are domiciled in praises. Psalm 22:3. When we are praising Him, we are invoking His wonder working manifold presence in our lives. Church Gist. Some never knew that, they never cared to find out. Praise has been reduced to religious entertainment. People jump and jump and jump and land empty. They don’t know why they are singing, what is in praise, they don’t know. They jump and jump and go back to depression almost the same day.
What’s in praise? Wonder provoking revelation is in praise. 2 Kings 3:15-9. Tonight God’s hand will come for you as you join a personal note in high praises. Are you set for that? We are not entertaining anybody, we are invoking God’s wonder working hand to come down on every life and turn things around. He said “thou shall have a song in the night.” That is not in the service, it is on your bed. Isaiah 30:19. One of your hands is working, 🎵O seun, O seun, O seun Baba.🎵 As you are singing the other one is rising. Please wake up. All this down today, up tomorrow you are going nowhere that way. In His presence there is fullness of joy, when you are down you are off His presence, you become vulnerable. Church Gist. You are off the city of refuge, every day they will be bumping you up. “Wake up, you know, cheer up. Life is great.” If you know what is in praise, you won’t wait for nobody to wake you up. As you allow His Word to touch you inside out, the days of depression, the days of murmuring and complaining are totally over in your life.
When revelation breaks out, health is restored supernaturally. Job 33:21-24. When revelation breaks forth, health is restored supernaturally. We provoke the breaking forth of revelation among other things through praise as a lifestyle. Praising God in the night seasons of your life. Praising God when all things look to be upside down, then He turns them upside right. Praising God in your night season, then the Lord will cause His glorious voice to be heard. Church Gist. In hearing the glorious voice of God, the assailants shall be beaten down that smitten your life with wickedness. Isaiah 30:29-30. We are going to see the raw healing power of God as we praise Him. You will sing your song wherever you are and dance your dance out of the miry clay. You are shouting Hallelujah out of this service.
We were praising God and jumping and somebody had a child that had growth on the forehead. Doctor said, any surgical intervention is a 50-50 chance. We were dancing and dancing in the Old Church, she looked – the growth had vanished in the midst of the praise. We were jumping and jumping in Kaduna and someone had a domestic accident with fire burns all over her body. She couldn’t stand up and in the midst of the praise, an invisible guest walked up to her, “stand up and embrace me.” Church Gist. And as she stood up, all the effects of the burn disappeared. Life! Someone had an industrial accident as a NEPA (then NEPA) staff, fell off from the pole and the hand had been withered. Someone walked up to him in the midst of the praise, took that hand, stretched it forth (exclaimed); it became equal with the other. Wonders in the midst of praise. Get set for it.
Create room to sing some songs tonight even after this Service. Church Gist. Songs of appreciation, celebration and exhortation. You will be glad you did.
What’s In Praise?
God’s wonder working presence is in praise. Church Gist. Outbreak of revelation is in praise that restores health.
Thanksgiving and praise secures healing and health. Proverbs 17:22. Depression is one major source of sickness and disease. You cannot be oppressed until you are first depressed. Church Gist. You don’t overcome depression, you cannot overcome oppression. We have to overcome depression to overcome oppression. Proverbs 18:14 (I learnt this from Morris Cerullo).
When your spirit man is broken, it breaks your body along. Our spirit man is our engine. When the engine breaks down, can the body move anywhere? When the engine of a car breaks down, can you find it on the highway? Church Gist. When the spirit of man is broken and uncontrollably so without being checked on time, it breaks down his body. Nehemiah 8:10. Health and vigour is in praise.
Also, we have this mystery there when you are in praise, you provoke God to take over your battle. 2 Chronicles 20:17. When God takes over your battle, you have won. No debate! God never fights a lost battle. He’s the Lord of Hosts. Church Gist. His power knows no limit. So they call Him Omnipotent – all powerful. “Set yourself in praise, I will take over your battle.” 2 Chronicles 20:17-24.
No matter what may have bound anyone of us in captivity…in Acts 16, they were held bound, hands and feet lying between two soldiers. “You move, we shoot you.” The foundation of the prison was shaken in response to the praise of Paul and Silas. The people guarding them too, shook. They fled. Church Gist. What? Every man’s band was loosed. So no matter what forces have held anyone bound, you get into high praises that ascend to Heaven acceptably, He sets you free. Acts 16:25-30. The jailer wanted to kill himself. “Hold it, we are here.” He was shivering.
- Your captors will start shivering!
- Those who held you bound will start begging you!
Paul and Silas prayed, nothing happened. They sang praises, something happened. Church Gist. You are going home with something strange, something beyond your wildest imagination in the name of Jesus! So deliverance from captivity is in praise. Thank you Jesus!
When thanksgiving and praise becomes one’s lifestyle, God’s presence is domiciled with such individuals and that is immune to all assaults of sickness and disease. Isaiah 54:1-3. “Sing, O barren” – that’s quite difficult. Church Gist. You have been abused, molested, insulted – “the Mother of Jesus, even Joseph, the Father of Jesus didn’t do more than you are doing. Where’s your child?” He said, “sing, don’t mind them. Sing, the answer is in your singing.” There is such tremendous power that rewrites people’s story in praise.
- It’s somebody’s turn!
- It’s your turn!
When God steps in, impossible gates lift up their heads. Church Gist. Psalm 24:7-10. Nothing can stop His way when He comes down.

When we engage with the Word in faith, we have committed God’s integrity to confirm. Church Gist. Now, everyone that believes that there is healing power in praise and choose to praise Him on a personal note not that the Church item in the program (on a personal note), praising Him for things that don’t seem to be working. Praising Him for His Word.
Praise becomes stable when it is Word focused not things focused. Word focused praise is always enduring and delightsome. Church Gist. Psalm 56:4,10, Romans 2:4. See as they are mocking you, “I will praise His Word.” See as they are deriding you, “I will praise His Word.”
