ACCORDING TO BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO, “THE FIGHT OF FAITH IS PUTTING GOD’S WORD TO WORK, BELIEVING. MOREOVER, ANY FAITH THAT HOLDS GOD ABSOLUTELY RESPONSIBLE IS AN IRRESPONSIBLE FAITH.

EVERY AGENDA FROM HEAVEN, LIKE PROPHECIES, ATTRACTS OPPOSITION FROM THE PIT OF HELL, BUT THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR.

PART OF THIS OPPOSITION COMES AS FEAR AND DOUBT TO STEAL THE BLESSEDNESS AND ASSURANCE OF PROPHECY.

GOD IS NOT CALLING US TO FULFILL PROPHECY; HIS CALL IS FOR US TO BELIEVE PROPHECY.

-Pastor David Ndubueze at CHoP

Our Father, we thank You for waking us this morning. Thank You for the blessedness of Your presence, we are blessed to hear the things we hear and to see Your handwork in our midst. Thank You for assurance of answers to prayers and rewards for our services. This morning again, You have gathered us to bless us. Via Your Word, let each one be blessed. Prepare us for what You have prepared for us and let Your name alone be glorified in the name of Jesus Christ we have prayed.

From Monday, we began looking at the exhortation line captioned:
EVERY PROPHETIC WORD DELIVERS BY FAITH
I have the rare privilege this morning by God through His servant, our father in the faith, to take us through the exhortation line for this morning. We began with this line of introduction on Monday that every prophetic Word is settled in Heaven forever.
Psalm 119:89
But this settled Word is not deliverable on earth except by faith. The settled Word of prophecy can only be delivered on the earth by faith – Luke 1:45
Another line of truth I will like us to take note this morning is that prophecy is God’s Word, signed and sealed in Heaven. Church Gist. However, the fulfilment is warfare: signed and sealed on the earth. In Heaven, the Word is settled, but on the earth, we war with the Word to see it deliver in our lives. Every true prophecy is a Word from the Lord, sealed in Heaven – 2 Peter 1;20-21
Every prophecy is God’s Word, sealed from Heaven, but to see it fulfilled on the earth, there is need for warfare. Fulfilment of prophecy is warfare on the earth – 1 Timothy 1:18
Every prophecy that comes to you, every one of it will require warfare from you.

Deuteronomy 2:24
“Behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon, the Amorite, king of Heshbon and his land” – that is prophecy.
But to see it come to pass, “begin to possess it and contend with him in battle.”
Every prophecy is God’s Word, signed and sealed in Heaven but the fulfilment is warfare: signed and sealed on the earth. Church Gist. This warfare, more often than not will require the weaponry of your faith and my faith to win
1 Timothy 6:12 – Paul, the warrior, counselling his protégé, Timothy, “fight the good fight if you want to lay hold on eternal life.”
If the prophecy is from God, then note that it is an agenda from Heaven and if it’s an agenda from Heaven, there is always an opposition from the pit of hell.

1 Corinthians 16:9
“A great door and effectual is opened unto me”: count that as prophecy. And there are many adversaries, oppositions from the pit of hell.
Matthew 16:18
“I will build my Church” – Prophecy
“The gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Every agenda from Heaven, like prophecies, attracts opposition from the pit of hell, but there is nothing to fear. Part of this opposition comes as fear and doubt to steal the blessedness and assurance of prophecy.

  1. But I have number one good news for somebody here, there is nothing to fear.
In prophecy, God is not calling us to fulfill it, He is calling us to believe it. Church Gist. God is not calling us to fulfill prophecy, His call is for us to believe prophecy.
The fulfillment of prophecy is His to do: “Blessed is she that believeth for there shall be a performance of those things that are told her from the Lord” – Luke 1:45
  2. Number two is to note that the warfare against prophecy is always in our favour.
That is why Paul called it a good fight – 1 Timothy 6:12
It is a good fight because the enemy is not enough to counter our position. What we need is a strong positioning in faith. With a strong positioning in faith, we can deal with the opposition of hell and lay hod of our possessions in prophecy.
    1 John 5:4
The contention against prophecy is nothing to fear. Our faith is enough to deal with it.
    Ephesians 6:16
-Good news, this year we are already more than conquerors.

But we need to know what this faith is. What is this fight of faith? From the words of our father, the Apostle over this Commission:
First, the fight of faith is putting God’s Word to work, believing – James 2:26
People may wonder, “Is putting God’s Word to work a fight?” There is no harder fight than putting God’s Word to work. You must gear yourself and prepare for a fight if you want to put God’s Word to work because the devil knows that is where your victory is, that is where your glory is, that is where your future is. We are seeds of the Word.
Romans 7:21-22; Deuteronomy 28:1
When it comes to doing God’s Word, it involves diligence. Faith is hard work, as God’s servant will say, not cheap talk.
To see prophecies fulfilled, you must be ready to work.

The fight of faith also means working with God. Not waiting for God to work. God’s servant says, “any faith that holds God absolutely responsible is an irresponsible faith.”
For example, we saw how a 3-million-member strong Church called the Church in the wilderness was born in one day – Acts 7:38
Exodus 12:42 – We saw how they were born in one day.
God spoke to Abraham, “your children will be carried into captivity, but after 400 years, He said, when the time is due, I will bring them out.” That goes to confirm that prophecy is not God calling you to fulfill His Word, He is calling you to agree with Him to fulfill what He says He will do. Church Gist. God brought them out one night.
But how did He do it? Somebody say, “By faith” and that faith was a fight.
Exodus 12:43, 50-51
The fight of faith is putting God’s Word to work to prove that you believe Him. When they did what God told them to do through the mouth of their Moses, God’s Word was brought to pass by the hand of God.
God has said concerning us this year, He said, “It is our year of more than a conqueror”, but it is time to gather yourself to mind God’s Word to you and I through our Moses. It is when we do His Word that He will fulfill the prophecy over us.

We saw another example: The upper room Church, a 3,000-member strong Church was born in one day.
Acts 2:2, 41
About 3,000 souls were added as prophesied, but this did not happen except by faith.
What was that faith? Putting God’s Word to work. Working with God by putting His Word to work.
Acts 2:1 – The Bible says, “they were all in one accord.”
Doing what? Doing what God said they should do. Doing the demands of prophecy through their Moses. Their Moses was Jesus
Before His departure in Luke chapter 20 verse 49, “behold I send the promise of My Father, but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”
Acts 1:14 – “…continued in one accord in prayer.” Tarry means praying.
We have been told 21 days fasting is starting, prepare yourself. They were tarrying as commanded. As they were doing it, suddenly prophecy came to pass. The Church was born.
-In like manner, all prophetic Words concerning us, both as a Church and as individuals for the Year 2022 are settled already in Heaven.
-Your new name is settled already in Heaven.
-Your pleasant surprises, settled already in Heaven.
-‘To put your enemy to flight without a fight’ is settled in Heaven.
-For somebody here, your year of thankfulness and congratulations is settled already in Heaven.
But only deliverable by faith – Luke 1:45
Blessed are they that believe; they that will put God’s Word from the mouth of their Moses to work, the details as he begins to reel out to us by our Moses the demands of God. As we hearken diligently to do them, these prophecies will come to pass.
2 Chronicles 20:20 – believe God, believe also His prophet. Then you shall prosper.

Look at the example we heard this morning (documented testimony). That man, Brother Philip had his family under the torment of that wicked, poor man in the village: killed the woman that refused to go out with him, killed the twins, killed the brother and said, “this one will not prosper except by him.” The man came to Church and he said, “when God’s servant was teaching, he said for these 21 days fasting, pray morning and night.” He began to engage morning and night. He had tried so many things, it didn’t work. By putting God’s Word to work, demonstrating their faith in engaging the words of their prophet, the next news was that wicked man had been wasted.
-Every wicked force saying No to prophecy shall be wasted in our lives.

Therefore, we must engage the weapon of faith to enforce the full delivery of the prophetic mandate of 2022.
Like Timothy, this charge I commit unto you, fight.

Prayers: I receive grace to put God’s Word to work believing. I receive grace to engage this fight of faith.
