REJECT THE USUAL, REFUSE THE NORMAL, REFUSE THE ORDINARY, YOU ARE CONNECTED TO AN EXTRAORDINARY GOD.
I SAW 50,000 SEATER SANCTUARY AND HOW RAPIDLY IT WAS FILLED BY MY FATHER IN THE LORD, BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO UNTIL THEY WERE RUNNING FOUR SERVICES IN IT.
AT OUR LAST LOCATION WE RAN 6 SERVICES WITH OVERFLOWS EVEN OUTSIDE THE FENCE UNTIL ONE SUNDAY WE COUNTED 50,000 IN THAT LOCATION. SO IF WE ARE TO BUILD SOMETHING WE CAN’T BUILD 50,000. WE ALREADY SAW THAT.
WE STRETCHED OUR FAITH FOR SOMETHING MORE THAN THAT, FOR SOMETHING MORE MASSIVE TO ACCOMMODATE OUR EXPECTATIONS AND THAT WAS WHAT WE DID.
WE DIDN’T BUILD THE GLORY DOME TO PROVE OR OUTDO ANYTHING. WE DID IT TO ACCOMMODATE EXPECTATIONS. TRUST GOD FOR THE UNUSUAL.
NOW OUR FATHER IN THE LORD IS DOING WHAT IS MORE THAN 100,000 BY FAR. THE BASEMENT ALONE, I HEAR CAN TAKE ALMOST 20,000 BEYOND THE 106,000 OF THE SANCTUARY AND OTHER FACILITIES.
AS LONG AS JESUS TARRIES TO COME, EXPLOITS SHALL CONTINUE TO GROW
IF YOU CAN’T BELIEVE GOD FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE WHAT WILL YOU BELIEVE GOD FOR? IMPOSSIBILITY IS THE REALM OF GOD.

- Dr Pastor Paul Enenche on “ACTIVATING THE FIRE OF GOD” at the Kenya Healing and Deliverance Crusade Day 2, Morning Session
This morning I want to speak very sharply on ACTIVATING THE FIRE OF GOD. Yesternight we looked at THE GOD WHO ANSWERS BY FIRE and today we want to see what it takes to activate the fire of God. Church Gist. The individual that must activate the fire of God, what requirements would that individual need? Our objective this morning is to understand the requirement for individuals who will activate the fire of God.
Yesternight we saw what the fire of God is all about. Among the things I said yesterday, there are two things I want to emphasize. We said that God answers by fire to reveal Himself, to make Himself known, to introduce Himself to a generation. We live in a world today where people are largely ignorant of who God is. Even among those who go to church, they don’t really know God, they don’t know the capabilities of God. They don’t know the God they serve. Church Gist. We need to come to the point where the forces of witchcraft, the forces of wickedness in our communities, the occultic forces, the forces of secular humanism acknowledge the fire of God upon our lives. God answers by fire to show the supremacy and superiority of God to put the devil where he belongs, to let the devil know He does belong in the same class with the devil, He is not in the same class with his agents.
Brother, Sister, Apostle, Pastor, Prophet, we need to carry a fire that will make people hear what we haven’t said. Did you hear what I just said? To make people hear what we haven’t said. You haven’t said anything but they heard too much. Like John the Baptist was asked who are you? He said I am not a person, I am a voice. I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. I am not just a person, I am a revelation. I am a voice means when you see me, you hear something. When you see me, you feel something, when you see me, you experience something. Church Gist. That is the dimension where people will follow you to know your God because you are not trying to convince them, you are not trying to prove any point, they are hearing and seeing what you haven’t said. That means when you walked past, a revelation walked past, an utterance just passed.
I was in Wembley Area in London with my wife, they were checking us into a hotel and the receptionist, a young Muslim from North Africa looked at me and said: “what you have I need it”. My wife was there and those who were checking us in. I said what is it I have, she said I don’t know but what you have I need it. That is she heard what I haven’t said. So once we finished checking in, we went to the lobby of the hotel, sat with her and said “please explain what you want let me know”. She said I don’t know what it is but whatever you have, I need it. Church Gist. God wants to bring us to a point where we don’t just preach the gospel, where we are the gospel. Paul said you are our epistle written not with human ink. This is what God wants us to be. He wants to bring you to a point when after you have appeared, nobody is looking for where God is anymore because you arrive as the visible representative of the invisible God. Luke 10:16 – if they hear you, they have heard me.
Prayers: Lift your hands everywhere you are and say “Father today make me a visible representative of You to my generation.
They brought a mad man to me with a lot of padlocks and chains all over. I said they should open the chains, they said he was very violent but they must have thought to themselves “if he pounces on everybody, the man of God is also here”. They opened padlock number 1,2,3,4 opened all of them and unwound the chain. The hand of the young man was bleeding. He adjusted his dress like this and I said to him “Sorry”. He said thank you Sir. I said go on your knees, he went on his knees and I led him to Christ, the whole thing didn’t last more than five minutes. I told him, you are free, mother, take your son. Church Gist. The operation did not last five minutes and he was on his way a free gentleman and one of our pastors who were with me said, Sir what happened? When you said “loose him”, you had not prayed for him, how could he be free just like that? I told him I came out with a revelation, He said “he that heareth you heareth me”. In my mind, any devil that cannot say no to Jesus, cannot say no to me. When I opened my mouth to say leave him, the devil didn’t hear me, he heard Him because “he that heareth you heareth me”. His voice was inside my voice.
My dear brothers and sisters. This morning we need to come and activate the fire for the revelation of our Master to our generation. We need to activate the fire in order to subdue the forces of darkness and show them where they belong.
Men and women who carry fire, who activate fire, who bring down fire, have passion. They themselves are on fire.
Fire begets fire.
Passion determines portion. It is not possible to be an instrument of fire without being intensely passionate for God. Church Gist. Before the fire fell on the day of Pentecost, they were in one accord with passion. Acts 2:1. They were seeking nothing but God, looking for nobody but God. And when that happened, the fire fell. It’s not possible to give what you don’t have. You can’t offer your generation a fire you don’t carry. You cannot offer to the forces of hell a fire you don’t carry. I want someone to make up his or her mind this morning.
I am tired of lukewarmness!
I am tired of passivity!
I am tired of neutrality!
I am tired of business as usual!
I am tired of being taken for granted by the forces of darkness!
Passin for God.
2: UNDERSTANDING THE PURPOSE OF GOD:
The deeper your understanding of your purpose for God, both for your life and for your generation, the easier it is to acquire the fire. Church Gist. Elijah understood both his purpose and the purpose of God for Israel. When Elijah began to speak he siad, Father answer me, that all these people may know that I’ve done all these things according to your word. I am not just trying to call fire to prove a point. I am not trying to show I am big. I am trying to call fire to establish your purpose for this land. 1 Kings 18:36.
Do you understand the purpose of God for Kenya? Church Gist. Do you understand the purpose of God for your own life in this nation? Kenya is a land that is to invade the world with the raw power of God. Ancient, primitive, apostolic power. To ruin the altars of witchcraft and the powers of local demons and to bear witness to the world that there is God. It is not an accident that the first black president of America is a Kenyan. There are many African countries, big African countries maybe bigger African countries, who could have produce the president for America or Britain or somewhere else. Church Gist. That is Kenya has a place in the global space. Spirituality and politically. And you are going to make up your mind that no devil will silence that your particular purpose as a person and the purpose of your nation in your generation shall be fulfilled!
I tell people there are two questions to ask: Who am I? Why am I? Church Gist.
Who am I is what is my identity? Why am I is what is my responsibility? When you know who you are and you know why you are, then you are ready to do everything it takes to be that thing.
I said the worst failure in life is not the failure to make money, it’s not the failure to travel abroad, it’s not failure in school, it’s failure to become everything you were designed to become. The failure to become the person who God wants you to become. The failure to reach where you can reach. The failure to download your life’s potential.
So Elijah understood purpose. The purpose of God for his community. The purpose of God for his nation. Church Gist. The purpose of God for his world. And the purpose of God for himself. And with that understanding because what God has shown me to see, I haven’t scratched. So in my own eyes I am not successful yet because there are dimensions that I have seen in the spirit realm that I have not seen in the physical, so I am at attention.Church Gist. Attention to what I am doing with my life, I am paying attention to what God is showing me that I have not yet seen. And everytime you are at attention, it goes with tension. ‘At-tension’
So when you see people who are so at ease, they are not paying attention to anything in particular, they are not pursuing any purpose in particular. There is no sense of urgency.
When you are running from failure, you run very fast. Church Gist. Because you don’t want it to catch up with you. You run very very fast, because you don’t want it to catch up. When you are running for a goal, you also run very fast, because you want to hit the goal on time. Because it is only beautiful when it is done in time. It is no longer beautiful when it’s not done on time. It’s like a 60 year old man who wants to join Kenyan army afresh. Will they accept him? He’s interested too late. Praise the Lord. Church Gist. Look at your neighbor say, Pay attention! And be at attention!
So if there is any prayer anyone will pray after this morning session, it should be, Father baptize me with the understanding purpose.
I want to tell you Pastor, you are not in this city by accident. You are not born in Kenya by accident. You are not here by accident. Church Gist. There is a connection between what you do and the destiny of this nation and you must rise. So understanding the purpose of God will activate the fire.
3: JEALOUSY FOR THE CAUSE OF GOD:
You are jealous for God. You cannot stand and watch where God is insulted. You are not comfortable where God is denigrated. You are not comfortable where the Gospel is tolerated. Elijah was jealous for God. The whole land following after Baal and he said No sir, I can’t allow this happen in my generation, not under my watch.
You know that was what made the children of Levi to inherit the priesthood. When the whole of Israel were worshipping the Golden calf, Moses came and said “Who is on the Lord’s side?” And the whole tribe of Levi came out. Church Gist. That separated them forever. There are things about church that should make you sleepless. There are some ungodly laws they make in the Kenyan House of Assembly that should make you sleepless. There are some legislation that should make you sleepless. And you rise with a jealousy for God.
Jealousy and zealousness have the same root. Church Gist. The Jealous are zealous. And the Zealous are jealous. When a man is jealous for God, what moves God, moves him. What touches God, touches him. Whatever is a concern to God, is a concern to him. The burden of God is his burden. Paul the Apostle said, To me to live is Christ, to die is gain. Philippians 1:21.
Somwbosy sent me a message afraid, that some terrorists rose up and said that people shouldn’t go to church for the next 3 months and that they’re going to attack anyone who goes to church. And I told the person, that the terror group that can say that hasn’t been born yet. It is not under our watch. That may happen if we are no longer on earth. Church Gist. The headquarters of the terrorist group in Northern Nigeria, we went there for crusade. While driving from the airport, we saw the way vehicles were moving, so we asked our driver and he said that it is because of the terrorist activity. That’s why everyone is so conscious. When we met the executives of the state, the only stories they could tell us was horrible stories of terror, how at one time the terrorist came and the military was overwhelmed by them. And I knew he was telling us the story because he knew we came with solution. The last night of the crusade, on the crusade ground, I took a bottle of oil and anointed the ground decreeing that the ground will reject the terrorists and demanded that the weapons of the terrorists be targeted against each other. The decree was made on Friday, by Wednesday, the two terror groups clashed and killed their leader. The most notorious leader, killed. Their fighting hasn’t ended till today!
Anybody who dares your God, you dare them. Matthew 11:12. I see a fresh fire of jealousy, if you are in the city and beer parlours are overrunning the land, you need to rise and say No! Church Gist. Idol shrines are overrunning the land, you say No! Night clubs are taking over the land, you say not on my watch. Terrorists are intimidating people, you say not under my watch.
- The willingness to take risks for God.
You need fire, you need the willingness to risk it for God, do you want a lion’s share? You need a lion’s heart. The devil fears those who don’t fear him. Resist the devil and he will resist you? No! He does resist those who resist him, he flees. Those who say “if I perish, I perish” don’t perish. Esther said “if I perish, I perish” did she perish? When you take care, you take nothing. There are too many people who take too much care. Overcaution leads to underaction. There are those who are too cautious, there are those who are too fearful. Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego said, “Nebuchadnezzar we are not careful”. One of my assignments this morning is to militarize you in the realm of the spirit, to ‘ruggedize’ and ‘firerize’ and ‘flameatize’ you. Church Gist. Willingness to risk it for God, Elijah stood out when nobody was ready to stick out his neck. He dared Ahab, he dared Jezebel, he dared the false prophets, so the fire fell. What are you daring? Who are you daring? I have dared many devils, I have dared many wicked people, dared many wicked rulers. How can you have destiny without energy? I prophesy upon you today, whatever you need to do, whatever risk you need to take in order to see the fire of God, in order to fulfill your life assignment, the grace is released. Dare the devil.
When you combine all the things I am saying: Understanding the purpose, jealousy for the course of God, willingness to take risks for God, it will lead to number 5.
- Functioning with the spirit of a fighter.
Moto! Moto! Get ready to be motorized. Motorization! Idol altars are about to catch fire. Ancient altars in your communities are about to catch fire, generational limitations are about to be broken. Functioning with a fighter’s spirit. The refusal to bow for defeat. If the devil confronted you and appeared as if he conquered you 1/-2-3-4-5-6 times. Church Gist. The Bible says the righteous falls seven times and can still get up. They say rejoice not over me my enemies, if I fall, I shall rise. The refusal to accept defeat as an option. Someone once said failure is not final and failure is not an event, it is an option.
Failure is not an event. It is an opinion. Cornflakes was a failure so to speak. They wanted to do corn separately and it came out as cornflakes and became an instant hit. What was mistake has made Kellogg a billionaire. What is in short supply today in the church is the spirit of a fighter. You may not have too much strength but be a fighter.
Let me tell you a funny story. There was once a small bulldog that will leave his house, come under the fence, cross the road and enter another compound. It will engage a big dog there. The big dog will beat it, throw it to the ground, then the bulldog will return back home. The next day, the bulldog will come back again and continue the fight from where they stopped the previous day. The bigger dog will beat it, throw it on the ground and it will return home. Next tomorrow, it’s coming back. It kept on coming. The big dog will be beating it and yet the small dog will keep coming. One day, the big dog saw it coming and started running. I believe two things were in its mind, that for this dog to keep coming, I don’t know who is behind him. Let me run now. Number 2, small dog I can beat you, but I am tired. I’m tired of the fight.
We are at a generation that will tire out the devil!
We are at a generation that will weary out the devil!
Tire all the witches, tire all the wizards, tire all the forces of darkness!!
The Lord sent me to someone here today, you sat down and said I won’t so again. The Lord said, Stand up! You say I am tired. Stand up! You say it looks like I won’t make it. You will make it!
To win the fight, you need a spirit of the fighter!
I have so many stories I can tell you this morning but I came to tell you that the Bible said, The Lord shall be a diadem and release upon him the spirit of a fighter and give strength to him that turn the battle to the gate. That is if you are ready to turn the battle to the gate, He will supply you the strength to do so. Elijah was a fighter. If I be a man of God, let fire fall!

He was very impatient with position and the fire kept falling.
Lift your right hand say, Father, I receive, I connect the spirit of a fighter today!
I am not giving up! I am not giving way! I am not giving in! I am not giving out!
I am here!
Here to stay!
What you are hearing today, in the next 10,15 years, if Jesus tarries, you will still be seeing the results.
‘Moto-rize’ (meaning Fire in Swahili)
I have a word I’m taking back to Nigeria. I realize that ‘Motorization’ has another meaning. What we were thinking it was isn’t it. The real ‘Motorization’ is a fire because the fire will motorize you. Because the fire will give you fire-speed.
Let me say 2 more very fast.
6: VIBRABT PRAYER ALTAR. We mentioned that last night. Elias was a man of like passion and he prayed. James 4:16, 17.
Abundant, extensive, tireless, energetic prayer life is a secret of continuous fire. Show me your prayer life and I show you your fire life!
Today I believe that somebody who is ready to catch the fire will shift in your prayer life.
There is a pastor here, after this conference, you will take a 3 days dry fasting. Just 3 days, 72 hours. You can drink water for 3 days. No food. Go through the order Book of Acts of the Apostles. 10 Chapters a day with intense prayer in the spirit, minimum of 5 hours, upwards of 7 hours. And open your ears let God talk to you and set your heart on fire. Step out of that closet and roast every devil that resists your life and roast every altar of your fathers house holding back your destiny!
That will be an activation of a die-less prayer life.
- Faith for the impossible.
When Elijah said the God that answers by fire let Him be God, I am going to call and fire will come from heaven now and consume this sacrifice. He was asking for something very rare, something very unusual, he didn’t say I will light the fire, he said fire will appear. Fire will appear from nowhere and consume this sacrifice. 1 Kings 18:24. I need to remember the name of this guy, he went to a town to do a crusade and the attendance was so poor, there was almost nobody there and he stood and asked for somebody with a growth, a cancer on the neck to step forward, the person stepped forward and he told the people “I am about to pray for this woman if what is on her neck drops into my hand God has sent me. If it doesn’t God hasn’t sent me”. He put his whole life on the line, his whole ministry on the line. That day can be the beginning of his ministry and that day can be the end of his ministry. Church Gist. Don’t do that until you have heard God because most times to walk in such a realm, he saw it ahead. Jesus said, “what I see my Father do, that I do likewise”. If this drops into my hand I am of God. If it doesn’t I am not. Before he could finish the fire prayer, the stuff landed from the neck into his hands. The rest is history. The same night the place was overwhelmed, that was faith for the impossible. If you can’t believe God for the impossible what will you believe God for? Impossibility is the realm of God. If a man can do it, you don’t need God. It is when a man cannot do it that you call it God’s doing.
I want us to stretch ourselves now beyond the usual, beyond the ordinary, I saw 50,000 seater and I saw how rapidly it was filled in my father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo until they were running four services in it. At our last location we ran 6 services in the morning, overflow outside the fence until one Sunday we counted 50,000 in that location. So if we are to build something now we can’t build 50,000. We already saw that. We will stretch our faith for something more than that, for something more massive to accommodate our expectations, that was what we did. We didn’t do it to prove anything, we didn’t do it to claim anything. We didn’t do it to outdo anything. We did it to accommodate expectations. Trust God for the unusual. Church Gist. Now our father in the Lord is doing what is more than 100,000 by far. The basement alone, I hear can take almost 20,000 beyond the 106,000 of the sanctuary and other facilities. As long as Jesus tarries to come, exploits shall continue to grow. Reject the usual, refuse the normal, refuse the ordinary, you are connected to an extraordinary God. A supernatural God, trust Him for the unusual. Trust Him to take you where you haven’t been, where those you known haven’t been. Trust Him to do things in your life that you have never heard.

That was the song one sister was singing after they had been kidnapped and were in the middle of the forest. She dropped her head in between her feet and was singing the song, the song God gave me. While she sang the song with her head down and lifted up her head, she was no longer seated in the kidnap camp anymore, she was now seated on the highway close to a military checkpoint. Church Gist. She had been transported and relocated by the power of spiritual transportation, the type that transported Philip. She was transported from danger and sat side by side with safety. The soldiers saw her and said who is this and what is happening? And she told her story. Trust God for the unusual.
Three Sundays ago, a sister testified of how she was in another danger with terrorists and kidnappers, we have had such a challenge in our nation and it is ending already. While they were matching them into the forest a voice told her “stop” and she stopped and it appeared as if her feet were pinned to the group and she couldn’t move anymore and every other person passed by her including the wicked people. She was seeing them, they were not seeing her. That was how she left back to the same vehicle and was taken to safety. Today, believe God for the unusual and we are going to see results.
