-Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr
During the Third Service of Covenant Family Day Service, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr encouraged the congregation to intentionally choose to speak God’s Word when confronted with negative reports.

He said: “Some time ago, somebody came to meet me. Wife was pregnant and said to me: “Pastor, this is what the doctor said concerning the pregnancy and he gave a particular report.” And I said: “Based on what? He looked at me like I didn’t understand what he was saying. He said: “What I’m saying is that this is what the doctor said.” I said: “Based on what?” “But they have done their check and this is what they have said.” I said: “Well! Now they have said their own, what do you say? Because my Bible does not tell me: ‘You will have what the doctor says’. Church Gist. It says you will have what you say!” If the doctor did his own based on science and you, you’re not a scientist but you should be a scripturalist. Now, what do you say? Is somebody getting what God is saying? “What do you say?” You see? Everything about life should be framed by God’s Word. Your language should be Word dictated, your consideration, your meditation should be Word dictated. Don’t allow just the occurrences of the World to dictate what is being pondered in your heart. Let God’s Word form your way of thinking. Church Gist. Philippians 4.8 gives us a syllabus. Philippians 4:8. What does that mean? Anything that is not in that Syllabus, don’t think on those things. You go to sleep and then you’re shown a very evil and bad picture and you wake up and you’re sitting down thinking. Is it lovely? Is it a good report? Hyenas are chasing you in the night, is that a good report? Why are you sitting down there thinking? He says: “I saw something there tonight oo, if you see the way they were pursuing me. Stop thinking on those things.” Is somebody getting what God is saying? Stop thinking on those things. Take God’s Word and let it form your pattern of thinking.”
