Believers Fountain of Living Waters Assembly,
Otukpo, Benue State.
Situated in the Middle Belt of Nigeria, with her headquarters at Otukpo, Believers Fountain of Living Waters Assembly (BFLWA) has a mandate to raise disciples for Jesus and care for the total person. The Ministry was inaugurated on 16th October 2010, after a 40-day prayer and fasting expedition to seek God’s instructions, following the confirmation of establishing a Church based ministry.
In the co-Senior and Founder, Pastor (Mrs) Mary Ochenjele’s words, she was reluctant in accepting this higher call of service, “Sometime around the month of August 2010, the Lord impressed on my heart to start a Church-based ministry. It was a difficult task to accept. I had doubts, fears and a whole lot of misgivings. By the mercies of God, I had the privilege of working with quite a number of ministries and ministers. I knew the challenges that were always involved.
I decided to share with my husband, Dr. Sunday Ochenjele. He told me he knew God had a work for me to do but he wanted the Lord to tell me Himself.
That was indeed a great encouragement. It was one of my strongest confirmations.”
The Church’s journey began from the Founder’s living room with only her husband and children in attendance. Consequently, the membership grew by 3 little children (a boy and 2 girls) and a male adult. Church Gist However, as they continued fellowshipping together, the members outgrew the living room and the couple’s residential car park was converted to a Church hall. As the Holy Spirit continued moving in their midst, the multitudes kept on increasing until November 2014, 4 years after her inaugural service, God moved them to their permanent site at A.V.M Monday Morgan Street, Otukpo Benue State.
The vision of the Church is to Follow Jesus; Make Heaven; Evangelize which is expressed through Sound Bible teachings, Evangelistic Outdoor Campaigns, Personal Evangelism and Lifestyle of the Spirit. Church Gist The pattern of fellowship in this Church involves intense bible studies, prayer meetings, evangelism/visitation. Presently the Church has branches across Benue State namely at Ochobo, Oju, Okete.
The Church is marching on and will yet take over more territories for our Lord Jesus Christ.
