BY THE SPECIAL GRACE OF GOD, MY HANDS ARE SPECIAL HANDS
THE VALUE OF A TOUCH DEPENDS ON WHO IS DOING THE TOUCHING. ALL HANDS ARE NOT THE SAME
GOD IS FIRE AND WHEN HE TOUCHES EVERY YOKE IN YOUR LIFE WILL BE DESTROYED.
WHEN GOD TOUCHES YOU WITH HIS HAND OF FIRE, EXTERNAL ENEMIES WILL BE DESTROYED AND INTERNAL ENEMIES WILL BE DISAPPOINTED
ALL THOSE WHO HAVE PLOTTED YOUR DESTRUCTION, FIRE WILL CONSUME THEM!
THE TOUCH OF JESUS CAN BRING MULTIPLICATION JUST LIKE FOR THE BREAD
GOD IS LOVE AND WHEN HE TOUCHES, IT IS A TOUCH OF LOVE

Mark 10:13-16. How many of you are small enough for God to carry you? You know the problem with many of us is that we are too big for God to carry. Church Gist. We have become too big to dance for him, too big to shout, clap… The value of a touch depends on who is doing the touching. All hands are not the same. Exodus 17:8-14.
– Today I lift my hand to the Almighty God on your behalf, I say you will win all your battles.
According to Deuteronomy 34:9, some hands can transmit power. It wasn’t an ordinary hand that landed on the head of Joshua; it was the miracle working hands of Moses.
– I say with all humility, you are blessed because it has pleased the Almighty God to make the hands of your father in the Lord special hands.
I am not boasting; it’s not by my ability or education but by his grace. Church Gist. By the special grace of God, these hands (his hands) are special hands and God will prove it to you tonight.
Some of you will remember the story: I went to Malaysia and members of our Churches over there, many of them were at the Airport to receive me. So the only thing I could do was to enter into the car and as they were driving me, they wound down the window and I raised my hand and was waving to them. But one man was a bit cleverer than the others. Church Gist. He somehow launched forward and his hand brushed my hand. He was excited. He had a child that was born lame for about 5 years. When he got home he said, I touched his hand, and he laid his hand on the boy saying, I command you walk. Nothing happened. He said, sorry o it looks as if my faith is not enough. So very sadly, he turned to walk out of the room and suddenly he heard a sound behind him. The child was following!
– Everything that is lame in your life will walk today!
Because of who God is, his touch can have various effects. For example:
1. The bread that Jesus touched was multiplied. John 6:5-13. Church Gist. Because he did the touching, he is the one called the All Sufficient one. The one who did the touching is the one who said, I am the bread of life.
– God is going to touch Somebody tonight!
2. God is love and when he touches, it is a touch of love. A child will be crying. You pick up the child and begin to dance with the child and the child keeps crying. But the mother comes, takes the child and the child stops crying immediately. Church Gist. Why? Even a child can feel the touch of love of the mother different from any stranger. When God touches you with his hand of love, your entire system becomes cooled down; comfort comes. What is causing you to cry seems to vanish away.
– Today God will touch somebody with the hand of love!
3. God is fire (Hebrews 12:29) and when he touches it could be a touch of fire. Judges 15:14-15.
– Every yoke in your life will be destroyed tonight.
– in the name of the one who is called the Consuming Fire, all those who have plotted your destruction, fire will consume them!
That reminds me the story of one of my sons: he was never able to share his testimony publicly because he was in the military at that time. He is retired now. Some senior officers plotted against him because he wasn’t playing ball. I can’t go to details. So they decided that they will arrange for his early retirement. He came to the Holy Ghost Service, we were in the first auditorium. Church Gist. God said, all who have gathered together against you shall be scattered because of you. The Word came on Friday and one thing led to another and all the officers who attended that meeting were dismissed. My son who was going to be destroyed, rose to fill the highest post. I am believing God that he will do it again.
When God touches you with his hand of fire, external enemies will be destroyed and internal enemies will be disappointed. You know it was the relatives of Samson that barbed him and handed him over to the Philistines? It was the enemy within that handed him over to the enemies without. Matthew 10:36. Church Gist. Occasionally you don’t even know how to pray concerning some of these people who are very close to you. Some of the people you are feeding, clothing, helping and yet they are plotting your downfall? You don’t even know how to pray because if you ask God to kill them, you are the one who will bear the expenses of burying them. But God has a thousand ways where you don’t have one. I am going to pray:
– Father, concerning all your children who are here today and all those who are listening, prepare a table before them in the presence of their enemies.
4. God is life so when he touches, his touch can produce life. Luke 7:11-15. The dead came back to life, sorrow changed to joy, the journey to the grave became a journey back home. Church Gist. Journey of despair became a journey of rejoicing.
– I don’t know who God is talking to but by next month you will come back rejoicing.
5. God is light so he can touch you with light. His touch can produce light. John 9:1-7. I know there are many of us who up till this moment are groping in the dark. You might not be blind physically but you are still waiting for that thing you need to know that will transform your life completely. Church Gist. It takes only one breakthrough to change a man’s life forever. There are several people who are supposed to be tailors but they are opening barbing salon. They say, “scissors is scissors.”
I know at least one of my sons, he is a medical doctor but the Almighty God opened his eyes one day that no no, I did not send you into the world to be a medical doctor. Church Gist. I sent you into the world to be an accountant. Today, he can pay the salary of a 100 doctors. There is a door waiting for you to enter into – if only you can see it.
– Today in the name that is above every other name, he will touch you, your eyes will open and you will discover the purpose for your life.
6. God is the All Sufficient One. Genesis 17:1. The God who is More than Enough. That means a touch from him can take care of all your needs. Like the story my daughter used in her sermon, just a touch and she gave a marvellous definition of what a touch is – just an extension from one fellow to the other. I said, yes Ma, thank you. That lady was sick and a touch healed her. Church Gist. She was barren because she couldn’t be pregnant because of what was happening. A touch solved that problem. She was like somebody who is under a curse because in those days, when a woman is doing her period, she’s not even allowed to come into the Church. A touch solved the problem. She was growing poorer by the day, a touch solved that problem. She was almost completely hopeless, all the doctors had failed her, a touch solved that problem. Just one touch!
– I don’t know what are your problems, if it physical, God will touch you today.
When I was praying for the Prayer Warriors who normally pray overnight on Thursday by 3am, my request for them (I want to extend it to you) was, Father, touch them physically and make them whole. Church Gist. Touch them materially and prosper them. Touch them spiritually and make them free. Touch them spiritually and empower them to do miracles. All you need is a single touch and you will get it tonight.
Let me conclude the way my daughter concluded: she referred to things that could hinder your touch.
– Discouragement: you’ve made up your mind that “it is too late and God can’t do anything about my case.” “No, you have to get out of that one” I said, yes Ma thank you. Church Gist. But she said you have to seek after God, you have to get up and go. She mentioned something at the very end. She said one of the biggest obstacles to your receiving a touch from God is sin. Isaiah 59:1-2.
I’ve given the illustration before: if you have a piece of wire or 2 pieces of wire – one on the left and the other on the right, one is carrying high voltage electricity, the other is carrying nothing. If you look at the 2 with ordinary eyes, you can’t see the difference. They just look alike. It is when you touch both of them that you will know. As a matter of fact, the one that is carrying electricity, you will not be alive to tell the story. Church Gist. But no matter how powerful the current that is flowing in a piece of wire, if we wrap rubber round it (we call the rubber insulator), if there is an insulator round that wire, no matter how powerful the current in there, a child can play with it. Why? Because the rubber will not allow the electric power to penetrate through.
Sin is an insulator. Even if God wants to touch you and the insulator is there, nothing will happen. That’s why you have to get rid of sin. That’s why I keep crying everyday, be holy. That’s why I said long time ago that the master key to success is holiness. Church Gist. That’s why you must give your life to Jesus Christ and let his blood wash away your sin because until your sins are washed away, the mighty power in the hands of the Almighty cannot penetrate through to you.
