Bishop David Abioye, while preaching at the Healing, Health and Wholeness Service emphasised that believers have the privilege of living a life of health and we’re not permitted to die young. He stated that we’re not to use anyone’s experience as a standard as God’s Word should have the final say in our lives.
He said, “Please, listen to this. Beware of philosophy. As I’m talking right now, some individuals, satan may be asking, ‘What about those who died early?’ What about them, not what about you. Things happen to people we can’t explain. We are not saying this to talk down on any of such, but we are using God’s word as standard. Listen to this. Don’t even use me as your ultimate standard. This is where many of us miss it, because something happened to someone, you want to make it a standard. God’s Word is standard. God’s Word is the final say. Philosophy tries to make you see circumstances, to fashion what you believe. But God’s Word is standard. Say a loud Amen!”
