Sitting down and watching these amazing presentations shows me that something amazing is on the way. This could translate to major inventions, creating solutions in manners never known in history. You will never be lost there. Church Gist. Tonight we look at this subject EMPOWERED TO SERVE. Isaiah 42:1, 4. There is an empowerment that keeps us going against all forms of fainting and discouragement. May that Spirit come upon every one of us today.
By way of introduction, Impartation goes on as the Word goes forth. He sent His Word, power went forth, it healed them and delivered them from all their destruction. Impartation goes on as the Word goes forth. Christ was teaching and the power of God was present to heal them. Luke 5:17. Impartation goes on as the Word goes forth. The Word is the channel of lasting Impartation in the Kingdom because it lives and abides forever. Church Gist. Every Impartation by the Spirit of the Word endures for life. It is the entrance of the Spirit of the Word that imparts. Ezekiel 2:2. The Word does not only enlighten us. It imparts us, so we don’t only have the light, we are imparted with power to engage with the light. Most times we know what to do but we don’t have what it takes to do it. The entrance of His Word enlightens and that light is life. There lies the Spirit that enables us to walk in the light. Ezekiel 2:2. There is only one Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4-7). The same Holy Ghost in the Upper Room is the same Holy Ghost in the Word. John 6:63. The Word is pregnant with the Holy Ghost. No wonder in the house of Cornelius, while Peter yet spake, the Holy Ghost fell on all of them that heard. Not all the people that were present, all of them that heard the Word. Acts 10:44. So open your heart to hear the Word, you can tap into the Spirit of the Word to get on your feet going. People wait for a time to pray before they are imparted, no! As the Word goes on, the Impartation goes forth. People are being imparted right now. As many whose hearts are open. To get imparted, ensure to be in the Spirit. Don’t just be present, be spiritually awake and alert. 1 Corinthians 2:14. Revelation 1:10. If you are not in the Spirit, you can’t catch what the Spirit of God is saying. You have to come up from the flesh to the spiritual realm, to catch up with what God is saying. Galatians 5:25.
I have had diverse encounters with the Spirit of the Word in my life. For instance, Matthew 6:33 was not a revelation to me, it was an Impartation. I was restless, I got it and I was restlessly restless. I must get it done. I must find out where the sinners are. I must reach out to them. That it is good for a young man to bear his yoke in his youth was not a revelation to me, it was an impartation. Church Gist. I went out to pray “Jesus, whatever I will bear when I am old, let me bear it now.” No child prays that kind of prayer. The Spirit of Word enters you and sets you on your feet. You are on your way going. God is not slow. It entered me and put me on my feet. That is the Spirit of the Word. As the Word goes forth, that Spirit is open to anyone whose heart is ready.
Impartation is far above revelation, revelation without Impartation, you stay stagnated for life. I was imparted with Deuteronomy 8:18 and I could get out of it. The Spirit of the Word enters into you and sets you on your feet to keep going. Church Gist. 48 years ago, I got imparted with Matthew 6:33 and I have not recovered. That is Impartation, that is greater than revelation. I decree your access to the Impartation of the Spirit that empowers men to keep serving in season and out of season.
Please open up tonight is your night. Somebody will catch something tonight that the next 48 years of your life if Jesus tarries, you are just flowing and that is you. Please note that the first Adam was created to serve. He was commanded to dress, keep and eat. We were not told that he went out one day to do that. Church Gist. He got thrown out of the garden because an idle hand is the devil’s workshop. The second Adam came, his name Jesus. Genesis 2:15-16. The second Adam came and said “I am in your midst as one that serves” (Luke 22:27). But to serve what? To serve God’s purpose. John 4:32-34. “My meat is to do the work of Him that sent me.” To do His Work, not my work.
John 9:4. Now, he’s our perfect example and we are called to walk in his steps. 1 Peter 1:21. We are called to walk in the steps of Jesus, we are called to serve his purpose, to do his work. We are born again to serve God’s purpose – that’s his core business on the Earth which is soul winning. Church Gist. That is, his core business on the Earth which is bringing souls into the Kingdom – soul winning endeavours. John 15:16; Luke 2:49; Romans 12:11. Serving his purpose! What’s his purpose? He wants all men saved… – 1 Timothy 2:4. That is every believer’s covenant responsibility. It’s not a calling, not a vision, it’s an instruction. 2 Corinthians 5:17-18. Every new creature has the ministry of bringing people back to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20 – Now then we are ambassadors for Christ and we are representing his interest by bringing people into the Kingdom. 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 – that’s his business, that’s his core business on the Earth.
People simply make that choice. Matthew 21:28-32. So it’s a choice to make, it’s not a calling, it’s not a gift. Joshua 24:15. A believer becomes vulnerable and begins to decay when he stops serving God’s purpose. Matthew 12:43-45; Ecclesiastes 10:18 – so doing nothing is a risk. Church Gist. Not doing the right thing is a risk. Spiritual emptiness is a risk, spiritual vacancy is a risk. It makes a believer vulnerable to all kinds of satanic assault. But serving God’s purpose in love keeps all things working together for our good – not most things, all things. Romans 8:28. All things work together for good – that will be your experience!
What is God’s purpose on the Earth?
- He sent his son to save the world from sin – that’s his core mission. There were all kinds of miracles before Jesus came. Even the dry bones of Elisha brought back the dead. Church Gist. There, the Red Sea gave way, mountains skipped like rams, 3 million people were fed 40 years running two meals a day – all kinds of miracles. But that could not atone for sin so he sent Jesus to save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21; John 3:16.
- He wants all men saved and come to the knowledge of the truth as made available in Church – that’s the feeding centre for God’s people. 1 Timothy 2:4; Acts 20:28; Jeremiah 3:15-16. So we bring them to Church where they can be fed with knowledge and understanding so they can increase and multiply in the land. God does not want anyone to perish – 2 Peter 3:9; he came to translate us from the Kingdom of darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth to Kingdom of light where there is joy and rejoicing forever. Church Gist. Colossians 1:13. Christ came and said by himself, “hell is not made for man. Go ahead and see as many as you can rescue from going to hell.” Matthew 25:41. Hell is made for the devil and his angels not for man. Man is created in God’s image, he doesn’t want them to perish. We have that rescue mission on Earth.
It is important to mention here that soul winning endeavour is the high calling of every believer. Philippians 3:14. What makes it high? Proverbs 11:30; Daniel 12:3. Callings don’t make stars; it’s soul winning that does. “I am an Apostle” – what a title! That does not make a star. There were many Apostles of Christ without any reference after Christ left. But turning many to righteousness young men and women, makes stars of believers. Church Gist. It’s not callings, 18-hour vision – congratulations! That does not make a star. “Founder of a Church” – una well done! That does not make a star. “I am head of ushering” – Una well done, that does not make a star. I am the chair of all youth global – that does not make a star. The only thing that makes a star in this Bible is turning many to righteousness.
Being a star is not an ambition, it’s our redemptive birth right. Christ our Saviour is the bright and the morning star – Revelation 22:16 and as the Father has sent him, so has He sent us. He laid down his life to see the World saved. What are you laying down in partnership with Him? Many have left everything except their reputation. Church Gist. They held tight to their reputation. “How can me a medical doctor be telling people, come and be saved under the bridge. I’m not Papa”. Philippians 2:7-9. Lay aside your reputation, it’s all of grace. Did you come down with reputation when you were born? It’s added, it’s all of grace. It’s all of grace.
Somebody asked me, “How do you feel when you go to the market with all the security problem?” I don’t have security problem. 1 Peter 3:13. Who will hurt you? What is security? Somebody was going to commit su1cide, he heard me on the microphone in the market, he stopped and came down and I said” Someone is about to commit su1cide here”. Church Gist. He has never met me before in his life. That’s where God delivered him. Lay aside what you call your reputation, it’s not your own. When He took the reputation of Nebuchadnezzar from him, he was really reputed. He was a reputed human beast, the first one in history.
- Now, receive the empowerment for tireless service in the name of Jesus.
When I say soul winning endeavors, that includes praying for souls to be saved, it includes inviting people to Church so Christ can save their souls, it includes witnessing to people on the field…. The Samaritan Woman, the first encounter with Christ, she went to Town, “Come see a man. Come see a man”. Inviting people to Church does not require spiritual maturity, it requires a sense of responsibility. Church Gist. “I can’t afford to be a non value adding member of this Church” Any other thing is secondary. One thing that makes a star is being a part of turning many to Christ. You bring 2 today, you bring 3 tomorrow, you bring 4 next tomorrow and then one got saved yesterday, 2 got saved today, you are adding to the Church. It’s time to come awake! There is danger in doing nothing. Acts 26:22. That’s Apostle Paul himself witnessing to both great and small by the help of God.
- So, receive that help tonight in the name of Jesus. (x2)
Mark 3:14. Mark 10:28-30. Hundred fold means 10,000 percent returns on investment. That’s what makes stars. Church Gist. You are 10,000 in one, that’s the meaning. ‘David has slain 10,000’ and he became King. Doing His bidding makes stars out of ordinary believers.
Now, quickly. Specifically, what treasures are embedded in soul winning endeavors for us? Psalm 34:10. So, it covers all good things of life. Seeking the Lord covers all good things of life. Church Gist. Not seeking things oh, but seeking God and the interest of His Kingdom provides access to all good things of life. Luke 22:35. Then, the big bang – Matthew 6:33. All those things listed from verses 21-33 shall be added to us. Now, let’s go specific, like what?
1: Soul winning endeavors secures divine presence and divine presence confers dominion. Church Gist. Romans 8:31. Psalm 24:7. His presence clears barriers on our paths. Psalm 124:3. Dominion!
2: It secures establishment in the faith. John 15:1,2. Luke 13:6. It’s cheap to backslide when you are not a soul winner, you’ll slide into the thin air. You are off the radar…. So, he checks himself over and again. Church Gist. It secures establishment in the faith. Luke 18:8. Faith will be under the most severe attack in the end time, but bringing people to Christ will keep you and I going.
It empowers believers to command the supernatural. Mark 16:15-20. We are coming out with a book from my stable, My Passion For Souls. You find amazing miracles by the hand of Jesus as you go. Church Gist. These signs shall follow as you keep going. Watch, in Luke 9:1 he called his twelve and gave them power and authority over all devils and to cure diseases. Luke 9:6.
It secures divine protection. Luke 10:17-19. We are heavily protected while we commit to serving His purpose. Church Gist. Money can’t buy protection, it is for free for believers who are on the go for Christ.
It secures healing, health and wholeness. Every soul winner is an ambassador for Christ and a faithful ambassador is entitled to healthy living. Proverbs 13:17. As we keep engaging with His purpose, we are committing Him to our healthy living. Church Gist. Therefore, every siege of sickness and disease will have no more hold on your life. You are walking free from this convention from every assault of sickness and disease.
It secures express answers to our prayers. John 15:16. Express answers to prayers is the lot and the portion of every soul winner.
It secures joy unspeakable. The seventy returned with joy. Do you know the reason why? There is joy in heaven when a soul repents and if you are part of stirring joy in heaven. Whatever a man does, the same he shall receive. You receive heavenly joy in return. Soul winners don’t know depression. Someone asked me years ago, “Brother David, do you ever have any problem?” I said maybe it came and i didnt know. Soul winners don’t know depression. Church Gist. Depression is catching the world today at a rate beyond imagination. People are taking their lives for free. Soul winners enjoy heavenly order of joy. My wife was dying, I was jumping about. I am not a wicked man. My joy was overflowing. Soul winners don’t know depression. I decree an end to the siege of depression on your life. There is joy in heaven over one soul that repents and you are stirring joy in heaven, so you enjoy heavenly order of joy on the earth
- You won’t know depression again in your life.
One can sing and sing and go to the room and say “What is my life like? What am I in this world for?” Satan says “I don’t know what you are here for. Others have gone, you better come.” Joy unspeakable full of glory is the portion of every fruitful soul winner. Church Gist. Not I am going, I am coming, No! You are fruitful, you are bearing fruits. It stirs joy. Inside joy Is health and vitality. Proverbs 17:22. Somebody’s destiny is turned. These are not things cooked by man, these are stated clearly in scriptures as what to expect in return for your engagement.
It secures peace that passes all understanding. Luke 10:4. Every soul winner is a distributor of peace. People only lack what they give, they don’t lack what they give. Isaiah 52:7. They are publishing peace, they are sowing peace seeds to receive peace harvest in return. Soul winners are supernaturally at rest. Church Gist. They enjoy the peace of God that cannot be explained yet cannot be denied. Do you know what that does? It makes God take over your battles. God keeps fighting your battles without your knowledge, you are just experiencing a triumph without knowing where the battle was.
Listen to me, I have experienced this thing in my little life that I know for 48 solid years, I have lived with these benefits as true and real. True and real. Young people, wake up! Soul winning is an asset of inestimable value. You can’t place value on it. Just like you can’t place value on a saved soul, if you gain the whole world. These are things that money cannot buy but they are made available for free through simple obedience in serving His purpose. Church Gist. I know a number of young people who have filtered away. He that doeth the will of God shall abide forever. You are the one God is talking to. All these breakthrough, breakdown is not God’s agenda. Breakthrough today, breakdown tomorrow is not God’s agenda. No!
- You never know a setback again in your life.
It engenders access to divine wisdom. Proverbs 13:20. Soul winning is living in partnership with Jesus. Luke 10:1; Mark 16:20. Jesus is the wisdom and the power of God. Proverbs 13:20; 1 Corinthians 1:24. Soul winning is operating in partnership with Christ. Matthew 28:20. Soul winners get wiser by the day. Church Gist. They use their little brain to strategise Kingdom Advancement and he multiplies it back to them – a 100 fold, a 100,000 per cent! Walking with Jesus makes wise. Acts 4:13; Proverbs 11:30. So you get wiser by the day as you keep winning souls for Christ and you keep turning many to righteousness, your star begins to emerge. There are many stars in this house!
- It’s your turn at last!
Now, soul winning secures supernatural breakthroughs. Matthew 6:33. By seeking first, making my kingdom interest a priority in your life, all these things will start jumping in and running to your life. Church Gist. Remember also, John 15:8; Proverbs 14:28; 1 Samuel 2:30. So it confers divine honour.
- You won’t know shame again!
You may begin with shame but you will end with double glory. Somebody here in Church said I gave him the first Gospel tract in 1969 the same year I got saved and he insulted me. Laughs. I can’t remember that he insulted me, it’s part of the package. Somebody asked me, “how do you feel when they speak against you? I said it is part of the package. Luke 6:26; Matthew 10:22 – now, they’re not all men, they are just some men so you should testify and do thanksgiving. Church Gist. Somebody insulted you while you’re going to work – do you turn back? You know in Lagos here, a lot of those bus people are so wonderful – “stupid man enter!” Your car just broke down that day that’s why you couldn’t go with your car, they gave you the insult of your life. Do you now return back home? You just keep quiet.
The journey may begin with mockery, but it ends with envy. It will always end with envy. There is no single value added to me that I asked for. The agreement is that he will add them to me not that I should come and ask him. Church Gist. I believe in that agreement, in that covenant.
- You will be experiencing very humbling tear shedding additions in your life.
Just obey him; you’re not serving a Church, you’re serving Christ. Ephesians 6:6. You know this is what to do to secure fulfillment of your life, so you’re doing it.
It gets us on God’s payroll. John 4:36. In these days of economic downturn in most nations of the Earth, you need to get on a separate pay pack. John 4:35-36. People are crying, they are in the valley of indecision, they want to commit suicide, they need somebody for their rescue. Church Gist. John 4:36. He reaps, he gathers – that keeps him going. So he gets on God’s payroll and God’s payroll is according to his riches on glory. It’s not affected by the valuation of Naira or Dollar – it’s stable. Ever stable economy.
It triggers the rise of giants in us.
It secures a good old age. Psalm 92:14-15. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age – you know the reason why? Church Gist. The labourers are few so he has to keep those who are in the labour field on and on and on. Luke 2:29-30. He gives them the lastitude to go as long as they want. No one dies young among you! Matthew 9:38; Luke 10:2.
It secures our posterity, our future generation. Abraham was an intercessor for souls – Genesis 18:17-33 and God swore His blessings on his generations after him. Church Gist. God hasn’t changed. Genesis 22:18. It secures our future generation.
Finally, it secures a crown of righteousness in eternity. 2 Timothy 4:7,8. Matthew 24:14. So, you are committed to that mandate, it said you secured a crown of righteousness in Heaven. Not everybody making Heaven will wear a crown. Some will enter as passing through fire. But everyone who loves His appearing and are committed to working towards it, they shall earn a crown of righteousness at the end. Church Gist. Acts 26:22. Witnessing, witnessing, that’s how to show that you love His appearing. Matthew 24:14. I’ll like you to leave here this evening with the same passion burning in my soul by the Spirit of the Word to get back on your feet and start serving His purpose and all things will start working together for you for your good in the name of Jesus.
Has anybody caught the fire of the Word? Now, what we call the Spirit of the Word is the fire of the Word. Jeremiah 20:9. Matthew 3:11. So, it comes like fire to get us up on our feet, get us up of our slumber, comes in as fire. Church Gist. You have waited enough for things to change, you better get to know what to do to secure the changes you desire. This is one thing to do that puts you in command of all other things. (x3) Thank God, the door is opened. The door way is opened!

Matthew 10:8. I know what is at work in my life is the free gift of God. I have never sat down once and wondered, “Boy, are you still okay?” I’ve never felt that God was using me in my life. I’ve never needed encouragement from any source to keep doing what I’m doing. Grace. Grace. Grace. Psalm 133:2. So, every true member of this spiritual family has access to the passion for souls that burns in the HEAD. Church Gist. I saw grace upon Hagin, I said “Lord, I want this grace”. Who am I and my father’s house that the World should reckon with and a voice from here? No, simple obedience of faith. (x3) Genuine passion for souls and fruitful engagement in soul winning does wonders. It does wonders. It changes people’s stories like a dream of the night. It may take time, but it’s ever sure. No tireless soul winner ends his journey in the pit. Every fruitful soul winner ends up a star in his field of play. Can the history of Christianity be rewritten today in this World and not add this short man’s name? No, it won’t be complete. By what? By skill? No. By simple obedience of faith. I’ve been in it before I knew that it makes stars of people, so I wasn’t driven by it. I got into that village, I said “Lord, I mustn’t leave this village the way I met it” What’s your business? I was 19 years old. Church Gist. Undying passion for Jesus. I can’t still remember what I was preaching, I was preaching anyway and they were coming and they were getting blessed. Amen. Passion for souls will give you your place in space. Genuine passion for souls will give you your place in space. Genuine passion for souls will secure your place in space.

“I have written unto you young men because ye are strong” So, go forth and begin to do exploits for Jesus! You have all manner of facilities in your hand, you have all the social media platforms to chat the testimonies in your Church to your friends, “Come over, Jesus is doing a mighty thing here”. In love, with wisdom, pray before you do it. Fill up the whole social media platform with Jesus Saves, Jesus loves you. Amen! Reach out to your neighbors in love, with wisdom. “Just to check on you. Church Gist. You know, we’ve been living here together for sometime. I just love the way the environment is quiet and peaceful. If you need anything, if you want me to pray with you on any subject, I’m a son of the Prophet” I got those village souls saved by praying over their businesses and got them hooked in prayers to Jesus. He’s all you need, His wisdom. When you are committed, He supplies the wherewithal.
- You won’t miss it.
I’ll like you to heavily invade your environment with the message of Jesus saves, Jesus heals, Jesus delivers, Jesus promotes. Amen! A young girl read the Book, “Towards Mental Exploits” and made a first class, little book. Someone else just graduated from Covenant, he read the Book, “The Path Of The Eagle”, he had heavy challenges in 100 level. He graduated just now with first class. So, we have the good news! Church Gist. So, get them things, get them tracts, get them flyers, get them information that will help them. Get information from the Church and pass it on to your friends. That’s why you are there. You are the Joseph of your family. Everyone there must be saved. You are the Jacob in Laban’s house. In that company, in that organization, you must be a blessing to them.
