Ephesians 5:19. We have been spoken to from various platforms, it is time to start speaking for ourselves. Why is this like this? Why is my life not lining up with the Word? It is time to start addressing ourselves on issues. Romans 8:6. Church Gist. It is time to start addressing our spiritual issues far more than we do our material issues. When it is well with you spiritually, you are in command supernaturally.
– Today is declared your day.
– The siege over your health and business will be over.
– The siege over your children will be over.
Everything works here and you belong here. That means it is ordained for everything to keep working together for your good here. You were told Covenant celebrated her 20th Convocation on Friday. Stress free, ache free, begging free, struggle free and flying all over the world without sweat. Church Gist. If you will hear God the same way I hear Him, you won’t go through all those struggles you are going through. When God leads, He backs up the led to deliver the task. Stop celebrating what you know, it can’t take you to your future. The one who creates the future is the one who can take you there. Please come awake.
God excited me down this morning. He said every truth first appears false before it gets celebrated. Because it is strange. How can you tell me, you can be free in a world of bondage? You have not known what it takes to be free. When you know it, you know it. They were going to kill Jesus for saying “I and my Father are one”. Church Gist. They took stones to kill him. The apostles were imprisoned for preaching Christ and healing the sick. In the days of Oral Roberts, they were imprisoned. They were charged for practicing medicine without a license. The healing that you do now at your WSF meetings. When I started preaching prosperity, the whole world was against me. The Christian Church in Nigeria, it was a battle. They were fighting themselves, I wasn’t fighting them but I know what I saw. Please embrace the truth of scriptures as the truth and nothing but the truth.
The Holy Spirit is our most dependable Helper and He is with us, not just with us but in us.
ENGAGING THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TOWARDS FULFILLMENT OF DESTINY
Not the destiny of what will happen will happen, a well defined destiny in scriptures. Every child of God has a glorious destiny not a shameous destiny. Church Gist. Every child of God has a royal destiny not a peasantry destiny. Every believer has an enviable destiny, not a pitiable destiny. It is impossible to realize our golden destiny without the help of the Holy Spirit. Zechariah 4:1-6. Our golden destiny cannot be delivered without the help of the Holy Spirit.
Let’s not look at this today. How the Holy Spirit empowers believers for dominion. Please engage a meek spirit any time you come before the Word of the Lord. He teaches only the meek, He does not teach the proud and the arrogant. Matthew 11:27-28. Only the meek finds. Psalm 25:9. It takes meekness to find the truth that sets free. God is not behind the challenges of our life. He is out to set us free and make us overcomers. Let no man say when he is challenged that God is the one responsible, for God tempts no man with evil. James 1:14. Our God does no evil. Job 34:10-12, 31. That which I see not that brought me into this realm, teach me, show me. If I have done iniquity, I will do no more. Church Gist. It takes meekness to point at yourself as the source of your challenge. If you don’t, you are not ready to be free. “This Church is not growing, Lord. Why is this church not growing?” I couldn’t be asking Him if I know He is the one that won’t let it grow. I am asking Him because He is the one who knows how to make it grow and He will show me what I am doing wrong, so it can grow. It is time to stop defending ourselves against God. If you accuse Him, which court will you take Him to? Where have I missed it Jesus? Where have I gone amiss? What is wrong with me, not what is wrong with you?
Psalms 45:4. We ride majestically by access to truth we choose to apply ourselves to with the genuine spirit of meekness. Then you are on. The Lord told me excitedly, “Whether they will hear or forbear, be saying what I tell you. Those who don’t understand it today will understand it tomorrow.” My friend, God has ordained you for dominion. He redeemed you and I to reign on the earth. Today marks the end of slavery mentality, slavery disposition, slavery action. Church Gist. Kings don’t beg in their domain. I saw I have been redeemed as a king, begging is not part of me. It is not inside me. Your mentality matters a lot. Lots of folks are suffering in other countries today because of the slavery mentality. “It can’t be done here. Let us tell ourselves the truth.” Is Covenant not doing it? By the hand of God. We are number 73 in the world of multitude of universities. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. So the pictures are to help you see that you share the same heritage with any believer in any part of the world. He has made all flesh of one blood. One blood!
The dollar content of your Ark is heavy and yet there’s no foreign input. You’re inside it now. If you’re where God sends you and doing what He sends you to do, your case is settled. Church Gist. Every confusion holding anybody captive here is shattered today! The Holy Spirit, our ever dependable helper is here and he’s helping you and I into our next levels.
We are redeemed to reign as Kings and Priests on the earth but wisdom is the principal requirement for enthronement. Proverbs 8:15-16. Church Gist. We have three channels of access to the wisdom from above. Now listen, whatever is from above is above all. John 3:31. The wisdom from above is foreverly superior to any other kind of wisdom is the land of the living. When Daniel descended with that wisdom, he became master of magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, occultic powers. You know why? He knew what they didn’t know, so he became their master. Church Gist. They bow when he comes, “this is Daniel with wisdom from above”. Even the King worshipped him and said, “ah, this is not a man” by the wisdom from above. James 3:15-17.
Now, common sense is common, that’s why they call it common sense. If a child wants to wee, a new child, he doesn’t open the mouth. It came down with the understanding of where to wee from. If it wants to breathe, it breathes through the nose. Common sense. Church Gist. Intellectual sense, that is, you’re developing your mental capacity and there’s devilish sense which is superior to it. It can make you mad while you’re doing it. There’s a wisdom from above that will make incanters mad. That is, as you’re engaging that wisdom, everybody making incantation will go mad because you’re superior to him. Church Gist. That witch said anytime she wants to suck blood, she goes to the high way, 1979. It’s not about age, it’s about light. So, when we send a high power coming on their way, we clear off their evil. That superior wisdom. What have I found? Ephesians 1:20-21. Church Gist. You think we don’t have sense? Even mad people, do they go into fire? But here you are with that deposit of wisdom from above. You’ll not be assaulted anymore.
So, clearly, we are not talking about mental debate, intellectual expressions, we’re talking about wisdom from above. First, by salvation, Christ, the wisdom and the power of God now dwells in us. Revelation 3:20. 1 Corinthians 1:24. Church Gist. So, salvation gives you and me access to the wisdom from above. John 3:31. So, He now lives in us, so we have the heritage of the wisdom from above through redemption. Praise the Lord. This is what makes divine the birthright of every child of God. Church Gist. Matthew 11:19. Wisdom is your birthright at salvation – the wisdom from above, be conscious of that.
The second channel of access to the wisdom of God is the Word of God, which makes wise. Psalm 19:7. The greater our access to the Word, the wiser we become. That is, the wiser we become with the wisdom from above. Matthew 7:24-25. Church Gist. Engaging with the wisdom of Scriptures. Psalm 119:97-100. 2 Timothy 3:15. God’s Word makes wise. So, wise people dwell on the Word for living. Putting the Word to work makes you wiser than your enemies anyday, anytime, anywhere.
I’ve said over the years, I’m not surprised that we are where we are, blessed be God for the grace that brought us here, I would have been surprised that we’re not there. Why? From the wisdom of Scriptures, I have discovered my future. Church Gist. It’s not left to chance, I’ve discovered my future. I knew when he said to me 41 years, “my son, there’s a place for you on top if you’re interested”. I said, “yes, Lord, I am”, “then, whatever I tell you to do, do it”. Simple equation. There’s a place for you on top, everyone of us. He raised us up and brings us on top but doing what He says from His Word is what gets you there. Church Gist. That’s when I said what looks so sarcastic and arrogant that I’d consider it a demotion if I were invited to be President of Nigeria. Great Nation oh. But He said, “if you do what I tell you to do, I’ll set you high above all nations”. Instead of one nation, which one is better? So, I chose all nations, April 1984. Church Gist. I chose all nations because that’s what His Word says, “you do what I tell you to do, I set you on high above all nations”. Now, we didn’t have a suite but I saw that there’s a place above all nations and I saw what takes a man there. Stop guessing.
So, one day, I was in my house, they called me from somewhere, they said, “daddy, have you seen something?” I said, “what is something? I don’t see anything, I see Genesis to Revelation”. Church Gist. He said, “they said you’re the richest Pastor in the world”, I said, “they’re not lying, I don’t borrow, I don’t beg, so what is riches?” It’s not that you get there, then you drop, no, you’re just flying. I remember when I said, “I can never be poor!” You know what? I found what to do. You have heard it but have you found it? What you have heard and what you have found, they’re not the same oh. You have heard it but have you found it? Church Gist. So I’ve been engaging with it without any stress from that zero level, I’ve been engaging what I found because not that somebody preached to me and I, ‘maybe he’s receiving me’, no, I found it.
What I have in my pocket is not my wealth, my wealth is stacked up in the riches of His glory. You need to see drama when we were building this Place. Drama! “We need 46 million this week.” “Go ahead!” Church Gist. Now, that’s Sunday evening, not that there is a service on Monday. That’s wealth, they call it true riches. Luke 16:11. So there’s true riches that answer to every need. True riches answers to every need not to your bank account.
-Somebody’s story is changing.
Somebody is such an enemy of tithing up till now in this Church. In fact, he discourages people from tithing. “Don’t tithe anything. Don’t mind them oo.” And he’s struggling day and night or begging all around. You know? Begging for a contract is begging, not just begging for money. Church Gist. When you lack favour, you beg. Anything you beg for, makes you a beggar. It’s not: You’re not begging from people, you’re begging from the government. It’s begging. We have never begged for nothing, from government, from police, from soldier. Absence of favour is what leads to begging. Joseph begged nobody. Favour took him from face to face.
-You’re going places.
There’s this public syndrome: “Who you know is what matters.” Nonsense. Daniel 11:32. Now ask me: “Who do you know?” God. Church Gist. Human beings are so vulnerable to change, he’s there today, he’s not there tomorrow. Is that the person that you know?
-Somebody is changing level. Well, the good news today is that: “Today is your day.”
The third channel is the Holy Spirit who is also the Spirit of Wisdom. That’s what keeps that flowing naturally. It oozes forth from you. When that Spirit comes in you, your look depicts wisdom. Church Gist. Your steps depict wisdom, the words of your mouth give expression of wisdom. Deuteronomy 34:9. Ephesians 1:17-19. There is the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of Him. Ephesians 1:18.
-Somebody’s story is changing. Therefore, receive afresh this morning an outpouring of the Spirit of Wisdom that will always show you how to go about any given task.
And nothing enthroned like wisdom. Church Gist. The Spirit of the Holy God was in Daniel and he took the Throne in Babylon. They call it the Spirit of Excellence. Daniel 6:3. It enthrones.
2. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Counsel.
Just like wisdom, the Spirit of Counsel is one of the seven spirits of God that rested upon Christ. Isaiah 11:1-2. We saw that Spirit manifested in Christ all through His adventure here. “We brought a woman that was caught in adultery, people said we should stone her. Church Gist. What do you say?” John 8:4. He stooped down to engage with the Spirit of Counsel and stood up and answered them. John 8:2-11. By the Spirit of Counsel, the apostles found the way forward for the Early Church. Acts 6:4. “We will not go that way. The Counsel of the Lord shows it’s not the best way to go.” Acts 6:2-3. They went forward by the Spirit of Counsel.
-You’re going forward. You’ll never be stagnated again. The Spirit of Counsel will show you which next step forward to take.
Acts 16:4. People go forward with the Spirit of Counsel. Therefore, this morning; receive afresh the Spirit of Counsel upon your life. The following example can be very illustrative. God gave the Liberation Mandate but divine counsel showed the way to go about it and here we are today by the help of the Spirit of Counsel since inception. “Here is the task? Church Gist. You go ahead.” Spirit of Counsel? You, come and help and He came. God gave the Word on Faith Message but counsel analyzed the message and broke it down into 12 pillars that we now run month by month as a Church over the years and what a balanced diet that has been to our spiritual life. Amen!
-In the same vein, I see the Spirit of Counsel charting the way forward for you in your life, in your company, in your business, in your family, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Now, God gave the Mandate to go to Africa and left the approach to us to pursue. The Spirit of Counsel took over. The fire is still burning across Africa today after 30 years and still counting to the glory of God. Church Gist. That is how powerful the Spirit of Counsel is. Now, the world will call it instinct or intuition or high intellectual quotient. No, it is the counsel of the Lord working through you, charting the way forward into a future you do not know.
-You’re going forward! May the Spirit of Counsel come upon you afresh this month, charting the way forward in every area.
That’s what empowers the plan of God to come to pass in our lives as we saw in the case of Joseph among others. The Spirit of Counsel. “Here’s the dream.” “That’s okay. Church Gist. How do we go about it?” Counsel came and Joseph became the breadwinner of the then developed world by the Spirit of Counsel. Please, stop leaning on your own understanding in all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct your steps. Proverbs 3:5-6.
In this Freedom Banquet Service, take note of the following keys to walk in freedom all your days. The knowledge of the Truth is the Master Key to a world of freedom in the Kingdom. Isaiah 5:13. John 8:32. Hosea 4:6. To perish does not mean just to die. It’s to be stripped of honour and dignity. That’s how powerful the knowledge of the Truth is and that’s why He called it the Master Key to a world of freedom.
-May you return with that Key in your hand today.
How do I access the knowledge of the Truth to secure my freedom from all harassment of life?
1. Be born again and keep walking in the fear of God. Except a man is born again, he cannot see, no matter what God is showing, he cannot see. A dead man cannot see, an unborn child cannot see, he cannot see. John 3:3-5. Mark 4:11. Church Gist. Until you come in to be a member of His family, you can’t access the mysteries of the Kingdom. It’s not enough to be born again, it’s important to walk in the fear of God to keep accessing the light from the Word that sets free. Psalm 24:14.
I was asking the Lord what was it behind my access to revelation before I got filled with the Holy Spirit. He said, ‘My secrets is with them that fear me’ You’re walking in the fear of God, you have free access to the secrets of God. Joseph said, ‘But I fear God’ His only credential was the fear of God. Genesis 41:39. He shows things to those who fear Him. Don’t play careless with your faith, it’s not safe. Church Gist. I saw I was a King in the Book of Revelation before I had the Holy Spirit. My God! I saw it’s good for me to take up my responsibility early before I was filled with the Holy Spirit and I did. I earned my first legitimate pay in year 3 of Secondary School. Not now that they’re carrying students in 400 level, he can’t come home by himself. I bought myself my first pair of shoes in year 3 of Secondary School, I’m not from a poor family, by the light I caught before I got the Holy Spirit. That means, you have the Holy Spirit, you have Bible Spirit. Without the fear of God, access is limited. You’re either carnal or spiritual, you cannot be neutral. You read the Bible, it’s like Greek, ask yourself, ‘What’s happening to me?’ He will tell you. Access to the Truth is at the cost. Access to the knowledge of engineering, you know it’s at a cost, you pay, you attend lectures, you do experiment, you go to the lab, you go to Industrial Training, it’s at a cost before they say you are B.Sc Civil Engineering, you have civilized at a cost. Church Gist. People don’t want to pay no cost, yet they want the value. “I’m born again, I’m born again” That’s okay, but why are you not accessing the Truth? You’re not on the right frequency. Please, walk in the fear of God. In a great house, there are many, many vessels, some to honour, some to dishonour.
– May you be a vessel of honour.
2. Crave for the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of the Truth. Crave for it. Luke 11:13. ‘The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation come upon my life’ Ephesians 1:17,18. Luke 11:13. Let’s call for what we need. “Holy Spirit, come to my aid with the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of the Truth. Church Gist. I crave for it, I desire it” Now, if you do that every time you approach the Bible, you’ll see brighter light. If you do that coming to Church, you’ll see brighter light. “Lord, as I attend this Service today, Sprit of Wisdom, take over. Grant me access to the revelation of the Truth. I must return with something in my hand” Can I hear your Amen? Crave for it. Luke 11:13.
-It’s your turn!
I’m saying here that the master key to your freedom is the knowledge of the Truth.
3. Engage the Spirit of Obedience that enables you to walk in the light of God’s Word that you have found. There is the Spirit of Obedience, it is what counters the spirit of disobedience. Ezekiel 36:27. It’s called the Spirit of Obedience. Ephesians 2:1,2. There’s a spirit of disobedience and the Spirit of Obedience is the counter to it. So, when you receive that, doing the will of God becomes a delight, it becomes like eating. Church Gist. John 4:34. So, doing the will of God becomes a delight when you have the Spirit of Obedience at work in you. “Spirit of Obedience, I need you. Come afresh over my life. Help me to engage with the findings from your Word with utmost delight. Not coerced, utmost delight, so help me God.” Amen! Praise the Lord!
– Somebody is changing levels.
– Doing the will of God will no longer be a stress to you in Jesus name.
4. Sustain the joy of the Lord in your heart for continuous access. Isaiah 12:3. Psalm 16:11. Sustain the joy of the Lord in your heart for continuous access to the path of life. Romans 14:17. You’re an embodiment of joy. Church Gist. There is a fruit of the Spirit called joy which is planted in you and me at salvation. There is the joy from the Word, Jeremiah 15:16 and there’s the joy of the Holy Ghost. So, you’re a bundle of joy, you shouldn’t know depression. You shouldn’t know depression forever…
-and today marks the end of every trace of depression in your life!
I spoke to out new graduates on how to walk free from depression for about 10 minutes and when I got home, I tuned in to one of those Christian Channels and I saw one Psychologist saying exactly something different and I said ‘I pardon you’ He said, ‘If you don’t let somebody grieve, you say cheer up, cheer up, he’ll still grieve again’ I won’t tell you the name. Church Gist. All kinds of things because if you don’t know the Truth, you’ll be a victim of error. Now, listen. I’ve not cast my head down once. You say ‘They’re faking it’ Thank you, it’s a good fake. You know, everyday, I laugh, you should know that. Everyday, I laugh. Psalm 2:4. He that sitteth in Heaven shall what? (laugh) Where are you seated? (Heavenly Places) What do they do there? (laugh) Not that, ‘I don’t have the gift of laughter’ He that sitteth in Heaven shall laugh and I am conscious I’m seated there, so laughter is my companion. Church Gist. I laugh at everything and I triumph over everything, because you bring in God’s presence and that stays the atmosphere clear.
– You’re going places.
– May you never lose your joy again.
– Today marks the end of every siege of depression in your life.
Hannah was believing God for a child and when she heard the Word, her countenance was no more sad and that was when Samuel came. Church Gist. Please, brighten your countenance, your Samuel is about to come. Brighten your countenance! All these folding up…everybody is asking you, including unbelievers, what’s wrong? Unbelievers asking you, what is wrong?
– Never again!
– I say never again in the name of Jesus!
5. Stay in love with God for access to the deep things of life. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. Staying in love with grants you auto access to the deep things of God. John 15:15. Church Gist. You want access to all, then keep growing your love for Him. Keep growing your love for Him; He will turn you to one of His confidants. He will show you things before they come.
– Somebody’s story is changing and that is you!
You see that that master key is not just free. It’s not that I know one scripture, I know 2 scriptures and they are even disjointed. Church Gist. But I found and I found because I was standing on the right frequency.
– In the name of Jesus, it’s your turn at last!
– Freedom becomes your new environment!
Personal Declaration: I am free. I am free.
A man came my way some years back (1996) and he was crying. Nothing was working and I said to him, “I can’t minister to you under this condition. Get down there and get the Book, ‘satan Get Lost.’ When you finish reading, come over.” When he came, he was filled with laughter. I said, what’s happening? He said, I didn’t know satan is this cheap. Church Gist. It is absence of light that gives prominence to darkness. Absence of light is what gives prominence to darkness. When light comes, darkness is humbled, darkness parks; darkness fizzles out.
– From today, every air of darkness weighing on any aspect of your life, clears the way in the name of Jesus!
We are about to take the Communion this morning. How much power is in the Holy Communion?
1. Power to walk in dominion like Jesus. John 6:57. Power to walk in dominion like Jesus. Luke 4:34…dominion over the powers of darkness. Power to walk in dominion like Jesus. John 6:6-11…dominion over lack and want. Church Gist. Power to walk in dominion after the order of Christ. And this is how it plays out, you partake of His flesh, He opens your eyes of understanding for spiritual illumination that makes it impossible for the assaults of the powers of wickedness. Luke 24:30-31.
What’s in there? The Blood. Revelation 12:11. He said, “this is my blood, my overcoming blood that you are taking.” Matthew 26:26.
– So receive the power to walk in dominion like Jesus!
– You say to this go (and) it goes, that’s dominion; to that, come and it comes, that’s dominion!
– Now receive that power to walk in dominion like Jesus today!
– Isn’t your freedom complete? Your freedom is complete today!
2. We have power against weakness, sickness and death. 1 Corinthians 11 talked about the mystery of the Communion that God delivered to Paul from verse 23 to 30. Church Gist. But in verse 30, it shows what this Communion carries. Which means, you take it with faith, you are not permitted to suffer weakness, a victim of sickness or a subject of death.
– So everything dying or dead in anyone will bounce back to life today!
– Every form of weakness and feebleness that makes a young man of 40 moving about like a man of 90 is over today!
You saw the young lady from the choir, 80 years old and (you) found her jumping and jumping and here is a young man of 50 (walking like an old man) ‘Baba, well-done o’ and he’s enjoying it. Church Gist. He’s greeting them, “I’m Baba.”
– But as your days, so shall your strength be!
– When you turn 80, you will be stronger than her!
– When she turns 100, her strength will not drop!
3. Also on this table, you are going to encounter power to pray like Jesus. Church Gist. “He that eateth me shall live like me.” Luke 9:29,35.
– Power to pray like Jesus will come upon you and I!
– Power to live like Jesus, power to live sin overcoming life like Jesus will come upon you and me afresh!
4. Power to neutralize all poisons in your body. Church Gist. There are things you were forced to eat, it’s upturning and upsetting every part of your being, when they cast that meal into the pot, there was no more harm. 2 Kings 4.
– Every hormonal imbalance, everything that seems to be working against your well-being on your inside, as you partake of this Communion today, they shall be flushed out!
2 Kings 4:40-41. As you partake of this miracle meal today, there shall be no more harm in your body!
– No more harm in your mind, no more harm in your body, no more harm in your mind!
One of us just turned 90 and I was writing, I said to him, I said, “a man of God came here when I was 54 and he was 108 when he stood on this platform. He wrote his note with his hand. So all these funny funny memory loss is not your portion. It’s not. Church Gist. It’s not your portion.” And he said to me, he said, “you see, I’m 108 today and you are 54, you are halfway. You see new mathematics…
– In the name of Jesus, till your end of time, you will never lose balance!
– I curse every trace of brain disease, every case of memory loss in the name of Jesus!
