I, Daniel understood by books to explore the works of those who have proven testimonies of the power of faith at work in their lives. Paul said, “The books I left with you when I was at Troas, when you are coming, bring them along with thee.” 2 Timothy 4:13. Church Gist. So, every great story of faith anchors on ‘crave’… A crave for deeper understanding of the truth. So, He says study to show thyself approve unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. So, we are called to study so we can gain deeper insight and with deeper insight, we gain greater command of the affairs of life. Don’t miss that.
What are we praying for? We are praying for access to light. Then shall thy light break forth as the morning. Daniel went on a fast to seek an understanding.
2. How to keep our faith growing. We must crave for a deeper understanding of the truth. Church Gist. One must strive to understand the steps taken by others to secure their own testimonies because testimonies are prophetic and are faith boosters.
Don’t just be entertained by testimonies. Seek to understand the steps those individuals took to secure your own testimony. He said the righteousness of their testimony is everlasting. Church Gist. Give me understanding and I shall live. We need to understand testimonies to reproduce them in our lives. Psalm 119:144. Every testimony is a pointer to what is available for you, if you’re interested. What you will do is take the same steps and you will get the same results. God is no respecter of persons. So, we need understanding of testimonies.
One young lady here, one of our daughters here after a service on Sunday morning went under the tent and will not go home. She took the book ‘Word Encounters’, they are testimonies of putting the power of God to work. She was looking for a job. Church Gist. By Tuesday of that same week, she landed a miracle job. Her understanding opened from that book. That book is only about 80 pages or whatever. She got her job by understanding testimonies of others. Therefore, value testimonies.
Now, my understanding of spiritual authority came alive through the testimony of Wigglesworth. I mean, I knew Ephesians 1 and Ephesians 2. I’ve read them several times and I understood them. But his testimony just was like a laboratory experience. Church Gist. This is how cheap the d3vil is, if you understand that you have been raised together with Christ and sit together with Him in heavenly places, this is how cheap the d3vil is.
My understanding of that testimony just turned me on. I became wild against the d3vil and up till now I’m getting wilder. I hate the d3vil with passion and he knows. I hate his angels with passion and he knows. Church Gist. They know. I hate them with passion. Amen. I mean, you are a witch to bewitch who? Amen. Power pass Power. I know where I’m seated and it’s far above where you operate. You can’t harass me.
Seek to understand the testimony. Church Gist. Don’t be entertained by them. Seek to understand the steps they took and follow suit if you’re interested and you will come along with the same result. It’s your turn. It’s your turn. That’s how to keep your faith growing. You are growing from level to level. You’ll be there.
Well, very important. Faith requires good conscience to grow. Come on, say good conscience. Thou shalt have no other god beside me. Faith will not grow with another god hanging by the side. Church Gist. Faith demands a good conscience for growth. The sorrow of them that follow after other gods shall be multiplied. Psalm 16:4. Faith demands good conscience for growth. Holding faith and a good conscience which some have put away concerning faith have made a shipwreck of their life. Faith demands good conscience for growth. All this my uncle will do this, my cousin will do this, that’s why nothing is getting done. Any other god beside God nullifies your faith. Amen.
You have heard me say this before, whatever God cannot give me, may I not have it. Whatever God cannot do in my life, let it remain undone. Wherever God cannot take me to me, I never get there. Church Gist. You must get to a point where you don’t have any father’s God, father, mother, father’s father, idols. People are just going after all kinds of things after service on Sunday. They are still going about nooks and crannies looking for some old people to tell them what is ahead of them. Faith will always lead to a shipwreck when your conscience is not pure. Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. Satan has no part in me. I’ve never had to look for benefits from him.
You remember the testimony you just heard now? That family got a set of twins from the god of the river and they said, “Well this is the condition; they will die at 50.” Thank God she met Christ. The other partner, the twin, died as said. It is not God who said, it is that idol who said. Church Gist. When she came under the word, God said “You shall not die but live.” Amen. God said and that cancelled it. If she were not under Christ, she would have been gone and not just gone but gone to hell. Please wake up. You need a good conscience to grow your faith. You need a healthy conscience to grow your faith. You can’t be playing games with people’s life, people’s money and want to grow your faith. You can’t be scamming, robbing of their resources and expect it. It won’t work. You need a good conscience.
My soul waits thou only upon God for the expectation is from Him. How many will say with me, God is more than enough? Let me hear you say it now, say it louder. It’s more than enough for your needs and my needs forever. God is more than enough. It’s your turn. Church Gist. Your long-awaited rest has finally come. In the name of Jesus. Now listen, everybody must take responsibility to keep their faith alive and keep it growing. Everybody, you can only be told how to do it. No one can do it for you. Everybody has that non-transferable responsibility to build his faith and to keep it alive. Everybody needs it. Now may that grace be released upon your life today.
Today is our enough is enough service and from what you have heard, God is already working. Deuteronomy 28:59. Everything that just stayed on and won’t move is a curse. Church Gist. So, anything of long continuance, any unwanted issue of long continuance is a curse. Galatians 3:13-14. So, God replaced the curses of the law to blessings through the death and resurrection of Christ. So, the curses of the law have no more legal hold on your life. Therefore, everything of long continuance in your life comes to an end today. Because Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Can you say that with me? And that Redemption is irreversible.
