Today we will be looking at, ‘ACTIVATING THE MIRACULOUS.’ This is our month of LIVING IN THE SUPERNATURAL. What gives credibility to Christianity is the supernatural. Church Gist. Outside of the supernatural Christianity will be a mere religion. Acts 14:3. Signs and wonders are proofs of His approval. Anywhere you see signs, it is an indication that God is there doing signs and wonders.
Hear this and hear me well: if you are a believer, you have been born into the supernatural world. Church Gist. Miracles are real and you can work them out. You don’t wait for miracles, you work miracles out.
In 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, every child of God is supposed to be operating in the supernatural. The same Holy Ghost Adeboye, Benny Hinn, has is the same Holy Ghost you have because God is not big, He is not small. The same Holy Ghost I have is the same Holy Ghost you have; it depends on what we do after that. Church Gist. On the day of Pentecost, the same Holy Ghost that came upon Peter, James and John is the same Holy Ghost that came upon Cornelius but Cornelius did not do anything. The world is waiting for your manifestation not for your explanation. They are waiting for you to manifest your sonship as a child of God.
- After today, you will become a miracle yourself.
1 Corinthians 12:10 one of the gifts of the Spirit is working of miracles not waiting for miracles; that means there is a duty. Church Gist. Many have been wasting because they are waiting for miracles. So I am going to tell you how to work miracles.
HOW DO I WORK MIRACLES?
1) You must believe that you are created for signs and wonders: Mark 16:17-18, 20. How can you that will lay hands on the sick become sick? Church Gist. Are you a believer? It says you will lay hands on the sick and the sick will recover, so how can you now be sick? Something is wrong. Hebrews 4:2. Stop waiting for Miracles if you don’t want to waste in life.
Hear this and hear me well: the Scripture you don’t believe will never produce. It is the part of the Scripture you believe that will manifest in your life. If you don’t believe in prosperity you will remain a poor man. If you don’t believe in signs and wonders you will be a senior theologian. Church Gist. Say with me, ‘I believe the word.’ John 14:12. When I read that Scripture, that Scripture is real! Jesus did not use his shadow to heal the sick; Peter used his shadow because Peter believed the Word. Greater works means He has endowed us to do greater things than him.
- To as many as believe God’s Word you will begin to swim in signs and wonders.
But how do I do that? Exodus 4:17. “Thou shalt take” connotes responsibility. God did not carry the rod for Moses; Moses carried it. Church Gist. Even when Moses cried to God, God said, I will do my part but your part must be done. Take that rod, face the water. We have been waiting for miracles; miracles have been waiting for us.
Now what is the rod and who is the rod? Isaiah 11:1. That rod is Jesus and Jesus is the Word. John 1:1; Revelation 19:13. God is saying, ‘take the Word with which thou shalt do signs.’ Church Gist. We work the word to produce signs. Working of miracles simply means working the Word. When you work the Word, you become a miracle.
- You will produce signs from today!
When you do what the rod commands miracles are born. What is a miracle? Miracles are the deliberate acts of God provoked by the desperate faith of men through the Word of God. All I need to do if I want to work in the supernatural is to hook up to the Word and obey whatever the Word says to me. Church Gist. John 2:5. When you put the Word of God to work in faith, God is committed to confirm with signs and wonders. What you do with the Word of God is what puts you in command of the supernatural. You can’t operate in the supernatural with common sense.
1 Corinthians 2:13-14. I am going to tell you something that will baffle you: do you know negative medical reports, people believe them; even Church people. Yet they do not believe the Word of God. Whose report will you believe? Not singing, not talking, your action should show. Church Gist. Someone says he has leukemia, HIV, Cancer, that’s a negative medical report and it is falsehood because you can’t have Jesus Christ and that sick together in you. Science verdict is contrary to Scriptures. Science points you to the problem but the solution is with God.
Please don’t misquote me: what they told you is a fact but what the Word of God says is the truth. Church Gist. So the same way you are carrying medical report going everywhere, carry His report and show everybody.
I am going to be very practical now: 1 Timothy 6:20, you know what God is saying? Church Gist. I am going to use my testimony so that you understand it better.
My eyes were yellow. When I mean yellow, yellows has degrees. This one was yellow to a point where a consultant came to the room, they said it is Hepatitis. I could not move, every organ in me was paining me. Church Gist. There was a day my eyes turned. The consultant came to the room and lifted my eyes. When he did that, he didn’t know I was looking at him; he turned his head and did like this (shakes head). Invariably he was saying, “Hopeless.” I got the message.
That was science, that this case is hopeless. But I saw from the Word of God in Matthew 8:17. Science told me, you will die, and God told me, He took. So I was between 2 opinions: either to agree with science and die or to agree with this truth and walk out of death. Church Gist. I stood with the integrity of God’s Word and I shut the door and said, nobody prays again. Everybody prayed for me including Reinhard Bonnke of blessed memory. It was not his fault, my faith needed to rise. I told my wife, nobody prays again.
I shut the door and I went with my last strength. As I was eating, “Exploits of Faith” by my mentor and the Bible, I saw light came Himself and took. I said, ‘if you took it, then I can’t have it.’ Church Gist. I said satan, if Jesus took my infirmities then, I can’t have what he took. I walked out of death gallantly and I am here preaching, and will preach till old age.
You must not agree with anything contrary to God’s Word; it is falsehood. If you must enjoy the miraculous, you must agree with the Word of God. Church Gist. You can’t have the Word and have cancer. Cancer is a fact; the truth is, He took. John 8:32.
Hear this: until you disregard what the devil placed on you, you will end up a victim of his scheming. You must avoid falling cheaply to the devil’s lies. You must agree with the Word of God. The lie was that my eyes were yellow. You know the thing? When my eyes were yellow and I saw, He took, he (devil) said, go and look at the mirror. Church Gist. Your eyes are yellow. You will die. I said, shut up! I looked at the mirror. There are 2 mirrors: the physical mirror and the mirror of the Word. The more I stood on ‘He took’ in 3 days, all the symptoms vanished, ALL! Pains gone, eyes white, this guy is strong, perfect. No part of my liver or heart is having any issue.
But if I never stood on the integrity of the Word, I never allowed the devil’s lie to prevail, you wouldn’t have seen me here. So, whose report do you believe? Church Gist. Doctors have their work they do; they only point you to the situation that is before you but don’t take their verdict. Their verdict is not the final. Are you hearing me?
If their verdict is final, even when doctors have problem they say, ‘this thing is beyond us.’ That shows that they too, they have their limitations. Church Gist. It is not every sickness doctors can treat. Hope you know? Is there any anti-dead drug in the hospital? But Jesus specializes in that one. Acts 10:38.
- Every sick in the name of Jesus, I pronounce you healed. Hebrews 13:8; John 14:14.
Please believe the Word of God. Ephesians 2:6. You need a far above mentality to operate in the supernatural. Where you are satan can’t come, and all his works. Ephesians 1:19-21. Let me say this to you: can a man be pregnant? Church Gist. Except pounded yam pregnancy. So for a man to trouble himself that he is pregnant he has lost his senses. To say you are sick as a believer is an abuse to redemption because you can’t be sick. All you need to know is to know better than your enemy so you can take him for a ride.
- Whatever that is not of God that is in you I curse it in the name of Jesus!
Working the Word is what makes a believer a wonder to his world. The Word of God is the instrument for working of miracles. Every discovery from the Bible that is mixed with faith in your heart becomes an instrument for working of the supernatural in your life. Let me read this to you: Ephesians 5:23. Church Gist. There is no wedding you go to they don’t read Ephesians 5 when they want to join husband and wife. Jesus is the one who saves this body; he saved your soul from sin. He saved your body from sickness. That is what I am going to use to pray tonight. Who is your saviour? He is the saviour of the body. We are the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 6:20. Therefore whatever comes on your body is illegal.
Just imagine: I bought this property for you. Somebody paid for a property and gave the receipt to you. And then somebody went there to trespass. Will you keep quiet? You will react? So every sickness on you is illegal. The sickness trespassed. Your duty now is to eject it with your understanding. And say, ‘satan, you are not permitted to be here. Church Gist. You are an unlawful occupant of this body. I have been bought with a price. Therefore in the name of Jesus get out of my body now!’ We all know of the spirit but the body, everybody just says ‘you know it is painful.’ Taar! React! I reacted when satan afflicted me. I said, ‘satan, take your hands off my body now.’ sickness left!
Now listen: if somebody pays a property for you and gives you the receipt will you go back to the person again? You enforce the law. If you go back to the person, the person will say, ‘I have given you the receipt, tender the receipt to them that this is what I paid and take your goods and go.’ Church Gist. So you tender the Word of God to the devil. The law you don’t enforce, no law enforcement agency will go and carry it out. You are the one to enforce the law.
Sometime, we bought a property in this Church in a place called Borokiri town. And some people went to occupy the property illegally. And then, we went to court and judgement was passed that they were occupying the place illegally. Church Gist. And officially, they threw their things outside. That was when I saw that law has power. We went back and took possession of our property. Now, we have brought it down to build our church there. If we didn’t go to exercise our authority, they would have been staying there till today.
So, that sickness is in your body because you have refused to exercise your authority. It is an illegal occupant. Now, exercise authority with the Word of God. Even if you don’t get any Scripture, Ephesians 5:23. Church Gist. He saved your spirit and soul; don’t you know that He saved your body too? Why must your body be getting sickness every day? Tell that devil, get out of my body now. You are occupying my body illegally. Job 33:21-25.
