EXISTENCE AT THE TOP – THE POWER OF DIRECTION

Job 39:27-29
Objectives:

• Understanding the power of direction
• Understanding the profit of direction
• Understanding our access to direction.

We looked at EXISTENCE AT THE TOP: The Power of Swift Motion and Urgency. We saw all of that yesterday. Why urgency is needed. Church Gist. Before I step into what we are dealing with today. Let’s look at the secret of urgency. Just to complete what we began with yesterday.

The Secret of Urgency/ Swiftness
What is it that can make someone behave with urgency? What is it that can make someone act with swiftness and alacrity?

1. Vision From God
   Especially the revision of vision. The review of vision. Habbakuk 2:1. The revision of vision is key to acceleration in destiny. “that he may run that reads it.” Church Gist. Those who review vision become runners. Every time you set your eyes on what you believe and you know God has called you to do, it gives you the fire to run afresh.
2. The hand of the Lord
   1 Kings 18:46. When the hand of God is upon you, when oil is upon you, you run. The hand of the Lord imparts speed. Church Gist. It imparts urgency. Lay your hand upon me, Lord. All these songs are prayers, “Lord, lay your hand upon me. I want to run.”
3. The consciousness of times and seasons
   Psalm 90:12. Ephesians 5:15-16. How many of you know it was not too long ago that we did Crossover Without Carryover. Another year has arrived, 2024. We did Crossover and everybody wrote things. Just like play tomorrow is June. It is the middle of that year we just crossed over into. Church Gist. Before you know it, we are in the 31st of December. Another Crossover. Life hurries you on into the future without your permission. So you have to be time conscious. How many people remember that song, “Never let life plan you, always plan your life. For if you fail to plan, you have planned to fail. Time waits for nobody and time ends one day. If you fail to plan, you have planned to fail. Always reach for a goal. No score without goals. If you fail to plan, you have planned to fail.” From one birthday to another, from one year to another, the consciousness of the movement of time puts you in urgency to do the things that must be done on time.

Somebody sent me a text message, they are counting the days. Five more days to my birthday. When I saw that text, the truth of the matter was that even that date was not on my mind as it were. The day of the birthday is the day I am travelling to Canada for crusade. Church Gist. We will be in the air on that day. What is on my mind is all the things that should have been done before that day whether they are in place. The consciousness of times and seasons just puts you on your toes.

4. The right influence and association
   When you have the right influence on your life, especially influence that is progressing. Peter walked on the sea because someone motivated him to do so. Matthew 14:24-29. Jeremiah 12:5. The people you walk with determine your speed in life. If your company is the company of giants, your steps cannot be the steps of dwarves. I am surrounded by people who are giants in the faith. My father in the Lord is permanently on the run. The association you have, the influence of your life. Don’t surrender your life to anybody that is going nowhere. Church Gist. Don’t hang around everybody and don’t give everybody access to your life. You can relate with them from afar. You don’t hate them but they will slow down your destiny. Those who are not married yet, beware of who you marry. That one is a permanent break if they are not moving anywhere. The right influence and association.
5. Righteous passion and indignation against evil.
   That passion of your heart to deal with the devil and his evil activities puts you on your toes. Acts 10:38. It puts you on your toes. He went about looking for the devil to deal with him. “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine?” Church Gist. That anger in the heart of David made him run towards Goliath. Many of us are too gentle, too calm, we are too patient with the enemy and his enemies. Oh Lord, I receive the grace to move with urgency and I receive it today.

The next character of the eagle is the fact that the eagle is a being that is addicted to direction. Job 39:27. So there is something that commands the eagle to move. The eagle is sponsored to fly by a command. The eagle flies high by a command. That is what is called soaring and mounting up with wings. It is not flapping the wings like the other birds flap their wings to fly. It spreads out its wings and it is carried by the wind. The eagle has receptors on its body that detect wind temperature and wind current. Church Gist. The eagle receives the instruction from the wind to understand the right wind current and the right wind direction that can carry it to where it is going. Both to fly very high and to locate prey. That was why God was asking, “Does the eagle mount up at your command?” Are you the one who gives it command? I manufactured the eagle to receive direction from the wind.

If you go throughout Scripture, anybody who flies high they fly by direction. If you tell any pilot they will tell you they fly by direction. The pilot has a book open around him, he has his system, he flies by direction. Both the direction from the aircraft, direction from his navigation system, direction from his control tower. Church Gist. When to go up, when to come down, when to fly in the middle. If you look at Scripture, high flyers in Scripture are flyers by direction. One of the greatest things somebody will leave this Conference with is clarity of direction. When God is saying: “Your ministry, your life, your destiny, you have remained too long on this spot. I want to shift you now. This is what to do and that is what to do.”

-I announce to someone today, that direction is coming right now.

Let’s look at one or two examples of those who flew in Scripture by direction.

1. Abraham
   Genesis 12:1-5.
2. Isaac
   Genesis 26:1-4. Genesis 26:12-14. In the Land where famine is meant to finish him, in that Land they envied him. Isaac! I am not against people travelling to Canada and going to live in U.K. and live; U.S and so on, green card and all that. I don’t have anything against it. But if God does not send you there, it’s just a detour from your destiny. Live in America for 25 years and that is not where you are meant to be, you just wasted 25 years of your destiny no matter how colourful it is. Church Gist. I was talking with someone yesterday and he was telling me gladly how his wife and children are now in the U.K. working while he is here. What arrangement is this? What kind of upside-down arrangement is that? If you think the U.K. is where you are to be, all of you should be there and if it is here all of you should be here. Upside down arrangement, wife is there, you are here. Children are growing without father and mother. What kind of rubbish is that? All in the name of all manner of a sort.

Some people want to get paper and get this and that, everything closed. I know of pastors whose ministry closed here because they want to get paper there. Nothing is here, nothing is there. Those of us here, are we too local? Please I’m not against this. Now, there are some people here now, their destiny is there. Let God speak to you and if it is there, He will make the way for you to go there without crookedly trying to look for who to marry by marriage arrangement and fraudulent paperwork. One man came to me some time ago, he said he came home to marry in Nigeria. Church Gist. So he brought the girl he married, I prayed for them: “The Lord bless you.” I said, “So, when are you going back with your wife?” He said: “It’s the paper issue, he’s trying to work it”. Because when he went originally it was by marriage arrangement that he went. So he has to dissolve that one and tidily clean up that one before he comes to pick up this one. And he’s saying that I should pray for him because he also started I think a ministry or something. So I told him, I said: “You will not succeed.” You know I have a way of talking directly like this. I learned that from my father. I said: “You will not succeed, the reason why you are there is a lie, God can’t call you inside a lie there.” I said: “I won’t pray for you.” He was looking at me, I said: “Ah! You won’t succeed!” Hallelujah! Everybody was moving. Isaac? God said: “Remain here.” I don’t care how bad a land is, if that is your place of destiny, there is good there for you. Isaiah I don’t care how bad a land is, if that is your place of destiny, there is good in the land there for you. There is nowhere I want to be in this World rather than this Place. Go to America?

One day we went to America. I think we arrived on Wednesday and the immigration officer asked us: “When are you going back?” We said: “Friday.” He said: “You travelled all the way to do two days?” I said: “Yes! Our assignment is too much, we don’t have too much to do here. Very direct! We don’t have much! We have too much to do at home. For him that is an upside down, they’re not used to such answers. It’s people that remain 6 months, when paper wants to expire then they return back. I’ve not spent up to 5 days in America before, not up to 5 days. Church Gist. 3 days, fly back home. The same home where there are all manner of “nyama nyama” problem. All manner! Maybe as you are arriving, you receive a text they just kidnapped somebody. The same place where there are all manner of upside-down confusion. But you’re still coming because that is your place. That is your place! And when you’re in your place you are in your peace. Both ‘peace’ and ‘piece’ you are together! That was Isaac! In the Land where nothing was working because he got direction, everything worked there until the Philistines envied him. Isaac!

3. Jacob
   Genesis 28:12-17. That direction made him outstanding. He was in the House of Laban for 21 years. Genesis 31:17. So it is possible that God sent you abroad and might ask you to return back after some years. It is possible that you are here for some years and God may ask you to go abroad after some years. Church Gist. Do you understand what I am saying? “Now! Return back home!” “But Lord, they have given me residency permit!” “Return back home!” “But Lord, I’m a citizen now.” “It’s even better for you. As a citizen now you can travel in and out anytime you want without applying for visa.” That was Jacob! And these people were accurately directed by God and they made a mark in their world.
4. David
   Many years ago I listened to one message by God’s servant, Papa Oyedepo titled: ‘The Conqueror’s Trade Secret’. The secret of the conqueror is direction. David! I don’t know of any man in Scripture where you heard this word: “And David enquired of the Lord”. Church Gist. If you like type it: David enquired of the Lord! David appeared absolutely helpless until God spoke. 1 Samuel 30:8. 2 Samuel 5:17-18. He heard clearly and God delivered. No wonder he fought 66 battles and lost none.
5. Paul the Apostle
   Paul the Apostle to me is like David. Whatever David was in the Old Testament it looks to me like that was what Paul, the Apostle is in the New Testament in terms of giftings and graces. Galatians 2:2. All the gifts in the Old Testament, David have them. All the giftings in the New Testament, Paul the Apostle have them. Both of them, direction. Church Gist. Galatians 2:2. Acts 16:6. We, we preach everywhere there is invitation. Hello? But here is somebody they said: Come and preach, God said: “Don’t go!” Forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach. Acts 16:7. The Spirit is the wind we are talking about. Acts 16:9. Acts 18:5. Paul was the Star Apostle. You may not hear plenty of this with Peter but Paul, he was the Star Apostle and his stardom was made by direction.
6. Our Master Jesus
   John 5:30. When our Church started newly, I think under two or three years or so. We decided to go out and plant satellite Church. A lot of people were coming from Nyanya and the Mararaba axis and it was very far. So we went and planted Church there in Nyanya, our first branch. The branch lasted for about 6 weeks. Church Gist. All of a sudden I became very uncomfortable in my Spirit: “Lord! What is happening?” He said: “I did not send you to go and branch.” “What should we do now?” “Close it.” Ola!! “Close the branch.” So I told the same (thing) to the pastor. I said: “We were to close the branch, the Lord said we should close the branch.”

You know when you are in the headquarters, you are under some level of supervision and dependence. When you are in your location, you are ‘oga’ in the location. So I’m telling the guy that his season of oga has ended – ‘ogaship’. Return to the headquarters. He said, what should we do with the equipment? I said look for a Church nearby and give all of them to the Church. What of the chairs? Dash it to another Church. We bought everything. Church Gist. What of the members? Those who can come, let them come to Area One. Those who cannot come should locate any Church nearby. That was how we closed the Church. We went out before it was time.

One thing with God is, you can’t go before Him or go after Him. You should go at His steps. That is, you don’t move before He speaks and you don’t lag behind Him. Papa Oyedepo prayed a prayer, he said, “Lord, help me not to underplay my role and help me not to overstep my bounds.” So we closed the Church. Pastor came home grumbling and returned back to opening prayer and taking testimonies. But when God said, move…in that axis now, they may be up to a 100 Churches. They may be…that axis now: Nyanya, Maraba, Gudu, Masaka and all of those places where one couldn’t stand. Even Maraba now has Maraba one, Maraba 2, Maraba 3, Maraba 4. Church Gist. I can recount story upon story. We are here by direction. We would have been somewhere else. We had 700 acres somewhere else, a thousand acres somewhere else. But God said, let me show you. He said, you are going to where I showed you in the night. This land was much smaller than those ones. As big as this one is, it’s still much smaller than those ones. And when the direction came and we followed the direction, the whole world is trooping here.

Papa Oyedepo, after they worshipped for a while in a Grass Cathedral, they got a big land. I think in Naranyi or somewhere, I can’t remember. They had dug foundation, pillars in the earth, everything – about a hundred and so pillars had gone into the Earth. He came to supervise or to do something one day and the Lord said to him, “This is not the place.” What brought us here? You brought yourself here. You came here by yourself. I didn’t direct you here. He asked all the engineers and everybody to disappear from there on the spot. He said, what of the money we have spent? What of the rod and iron rod we have buried in the ground? He said, let it be buried or do you want yourself to be buried alongside? Church Gist. Let it be buried. He returned…he said, he didn’t even go back to the land to try to see whether they can sell it. Later on, God told him, if you had moved there, that would have been the end of the Ministry. If you had taken the Church there, this Global Ministry that we are hearing of would have ended there.

There are people whose lives and destinies ended. They are still there but everything has ended. One evangelist who used to distribute handbills from the helicopter in the early 70s – Mama was the one telling us. Church Gist. She said, this man said to us, he said, about 1981, I made a move (I took a step) and that ended our ministry. The man was still alive when he was talking. One move (one step) – that concluded the assignment.

• You will not end while you are still alive!
• Your assignment will not finish while you are still alive!

What is the Value of Divine Direction? It is all about access. The Value of Divine Direction:

1. Access to peace. Psalm 85:8. Nothing takes the place of peace. You can be doing so much and you are at peace. Church Gist. No feathers unruffled. The only person having headache is satan and his devilets. Peace!
2. Access to power. Psalm 29:3-4.
3. Access to victory in battle. Isaiah 30:31, I Samuel 30:8. The people of Keilah, David went to fight on their behalf and got a victory. Church Gist. 1 Samuel 23:1-15. Access to victory in battle.
4. Access to divine plan and destiny. The voice of God puts you in the plan of God. The voice of God puts you in your destiny. Genesis 12:1-3. Church Gist. Abraham was led into his destiny by the voice. Genesis 26:1-3. Isaac was led.
5. Supernatural supply. Psalm 23:1-3, Isaiah 49:10. If He leads you, you are not permitted to hunger, you are not permitted to thirst. Supernatural supply!
6. Access to divine restoration. God’s voice causes you to recover what you lost. Psalm 23:3, 1 Samuel 30:8,19-20. Church Gist. The voice of God made David to recover all that the Philistines took from him.
7. Access to divine preservation. Acts 27:23-24, 1 Samuel 23:7-13. You see, there are things that direction will do for you where you have to reserve your faith. If David waited until Saul arrived, he would have been looking for faith to preserve him from being killed. Church Gist. That faith was not necessary because direction already gave him escape. It is possible to enter into unnecessary battles without direction and you will be begging God for intervention.

• I see somebody receiving directions today!
• I decree to someone, by the time this Impartation Service is over, your ears shall be opened!
• Your eyes shall be opened!
• Your understanding shall be opened!

What Is The Secret Of Direction?

1. The decision to receive. Hearing God is a choice that must be made. Psalm 85:8. So there is the place of the will in hearing. ‘I have decided to hear God. I will hear.’ John 10:37. Church Gist. My sheep hear. They hear. So you can say, I am His sheep and I must hear. It is the decision.
2. The Heart Of Meekness
   That sense of helplessness. Psalm 25:9. Hosea 6:3. By meekness here I am saying, “Lord I am miserable if I don’t hear you. Church Gist. I am helpless. I refuse to claim that I know what to do. I refuse to continue business as usual without hearing from you.
3. The Art Of Quietness
   Psalm 46:10. There is knowledge in stillness. Proverbs 18:1. The wisdom of God is the voice of God. “He seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom”. Church Gist. The art of separation and quietness. The Lord told Bishop Oyedepo, “Seek a quiet place. I want to talk to you.” That was when the 18-hour vision came.
4. The Art Of Listening And Watching
   Habbakuk 2:1. Psalm 85:8. John 10:27. God is always speaking, the problem is man is not always listening. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that PROCEEDETH out of the mouth of God (Deuteronomy 4:4). God is always speaking, man is not always listening. How many of you know what Capital City FM is saying now? Anybody knows? In Abuja here we have Love FM, Rhythm FM and so on. Why don’t you know? You are not tuned in. You are not listening. There are times when situations are presenting revelations but you are not listening. Church Gist. There are times when what someone is saying, God is speaking inside it but you are not hearing. When Dr Mrs Becky Enenche preached yesterday, I heard 3 things. One of them is a major matter for certain critical issues. The art of listening and watching. Ask yourself what am I seeing? Is there anything I am hearing from what I am seeing? Is there anything you are saying Lord from what I am hearing?
5. The Act Of Enquiry
   The asking of questions. Jeremiah 6:16. David was a master enquirer. 2 Samuel 30:8, 1 Samuel 23:1-5. He enquired of the Lord. One thing I know is that God answers questions. The right questions. Let me tell you what I mean by the right questions. ‘All my mates are married, why am I not married? Is it fair Lord, answer me?’ That is a very wrong one. You will never get an answer. You came with a quarrel. The wrath of man does not provoke the righteousness of God. That is what James said. You cannot be angry and God answers you. Church Gist. Your anger doesn’t move Him. ‘Lord, I realized I have been at the same position for a while, can you help me know the steps to take to move from here? How do I move from here financially, maritally, spiritually?’ ‘What do I do for this Church to move to the next level? It is your house, it is your Church, I am not trying to prove any point. There are souls everywhere and the Church is not growing. What should I do?’ The act of enquiry. I enquired for ministry, enquired for marriage, enquired at all junctions of life.
6. The Climate Of Worship
   Saturating your life with just worship. Isaiah 30:29-30. 2 Kings 3:15. Acts 13:1-2. Saturate your climate with worship. Let me say this, God can speak at any time. Even outside the times when you are worshipping, outside the times when you are asking for a particular direction. Church Gist. God’s servant, Bishop Oyedepo said he was not particularly praying for anything, he was just in the restroom when God told him, “The Mission for Africa is now.” Spreading to Africa. He was inside the car driving somewhere and then God’s voice came. Once you can condition the atmosphere, God can speak anytime on any matter.
7. Maximizing The Night Season
   A lot of spiritual transmissions. Signals happen a lot at night. Psalm 16:7. Job 33:14-18. Daniel 2:19. Isaiah 30:29-30. Acts 18:9. Night! Night! Night! Wake up and pray in the night trusting God to hear. Church Gist. After you have prayed, sleep with expectation so your sleep can be interrupted with prophetic insights. Interrupted with revelation, so you wake up with revelation.
8. The Art Of Fasting And Prayer.
   Isaiah 58:6, 8. Fasting causes light to break forth. Acts 13:1-2. This will interest you. The vision Peter had in Acts 10:9, I always saw it like he was in a fasting mood. Acts 10:9-11. At times trances are the suspension of the physical senses. At times it can be the ‘sleep-o-awake’ junction – not asleep not awake. Church Gist. That junction! The art of fasting. You can fast for direction. When I was going to trust God for my partner for life and ministry. When God spoke to me it was time to pray. I separated a few days – 1, 2, 3. Instructions came! The art of prayer and fasting.
9. Word study and meditation
   1 Samuel 3:21. Psalm 29:3. What is the ‘water’? It’s the Word. Ephesians 5:26. The voice of the Lord is on top of the Word. From God’s servant I heard, there is a voice in the verse. Hallelujah! How does this work? “Lord, is it time? To spread out? Is it time to take this step or that step?” (Speaking in tongues). And all of a sudden, a phrase or a chapter of the Bible will come up in your mind. Maybe a phrase. So you look for the chapter or verse that carries that phrase. If for example, the phrase is located in Psalm 87:5. Church Gist. You won’t just read verse 5, you will start from verse one and read the whole of that chapter. What God is saying is: “Go to this verse”, either inside the verse or in the surrounding of the verse, “I have something for you.” This is practical oo. This is what we do for a living, for existence, for life. “In this verse, there is something I want to tell you or around it.” So you start from verse 1 even though it was verse 7 that the phrase came up in your mind. You are realizing that your major answer is in verse 3. And even while you arrive there, you are now asking the Lord: “So, what are you saying? What is this verse saying to me? What do you want to say?” Then the voice will come directly. “This is what I am saying.” So it was originally a verse then it now becomes a voice directly. Somebody say a louder Amen.

For me and my experience and from what I heard from God’s servant, the most guarantee that you can say: ‘Okay! No shaking’ is when the voice came out of a verse – where the direction is rooted in Scripture. When what you heard flew out of the Word. Somebody showed me a revelation. I mean (he) said something to me the other day. This is what God has told me many many years ago. There were three mantles, ancient mantles. I may not mention the name of the mantles that he saw. Church Gist. He said he knew they were mantles, he knew who it belonged to because their names were written on it and people were gathered. And somebody said: “Give this mantle to him.” And he pointed to me and they handed it over to me. And one man said: “Why should they give all to him?” So the man, elderly looking man said: “I am giving him because it is confirmed that he will share it. He will not hoard it, he will share it.” That’s what I’m sharing now. The kind of detail I am telling you, normal people don’t share it. Are you following what I’m saying? Normal people will say: “Just go and hear God.” “How?” “Just try your best!”

-I announce to you today, the voice of God is coming to you out of His Word. And something is changing in your life. Church Gist. You believe that shout the loudest Amen.

10. Prayer in the Spirit
    The art of praying in the Spirit. Praying abundantly! It sensitizes and sharpens your receptivity. It just sharpens you. (Speaking in tongues). 1 Corinthians 14:2. When you pray in the Spirit you are connected to the frequency of mysteries. Mysteries are hidden secrets. Things that are hid, that you couldn’t know in your understanding but while you are praying in the Spirit, your Spirit saturates with information. This is the way I see it. When you pray in the Spirit, the Spirit of God is connected to your Spirit, the Spirit of man. So any information that the Spirit of God have, it’s downloaded in your Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. (Illustrating). It’s Spirit-to-Spirit communication. Church Gist. And when Spirit communicates to Spirit, there is a transfer without a hearing or seeing necessarily. It’s like what do they do to the phone where you put two phones together and the information from here just moves here. There’s a way iPhone in fact you place them together, all contacts everything just moved. Synchronize into! And then, the Spirit of the man is the man. So the Spirit of the man makes the mind of the man to begin to pick the signals. I just received this from there, begin to get understanding. So your understanding begins to get fruitful. So if you pray in tongues, after a while certain information begins to float in your mind when you’re listening and you’re sensitive. This is direct transfer. Then the more drastic one is tongues and interpretation.

Oral Roberts said he had two secrets of ministry: One is the principle of seed faith. That’s Oral Roberts. That is planting with expectation of a harvest, tying it to something. And number two is tongues and interpretation. Oral Roberts University came to him by praying in tongues. Do you see the central tower for Oral Roberts University? I think the ground level rises up to like 30 floors and then from that 30 floors another 80 floors rise from that one. Like a 110 floors on the same ground. Church Gist. Praised in tongues and his interpretation is hearing that I’m going to use you to raise a godly university after the Holy Spirit and so on. This is very very important even if you’re not asking for anything, just be sharpening your spirit by praying in tongues, sharpen it, sensitize it. Abundantly praying in the Spirit, direction for who to marry came. Abundantly praying in the Spirit with fasting and all of the other things, direction for ministry came. All of that just comes in the climate of praying in the Spirit.

11. Attention to the voice of your teacher or teachers. Isaiah 30:20-21. Provided you are in the proximity of your teachers, you will hear. That is for example, sit down under prophetic covering, sit down to certain messages. There are messages before you listen to it, 15 minutes (1 hour message) – before you reach 15 minutes of listening, you have received diverse directions, diverse instructions, several things occur to you on the spot. It’s just flowing. Then, when you are under a prophetic cover…do you know at times that the Lord will use the voice of your teacher to talk to you? Church Gist. You are hearing and it’s sounding like it is your pastor’s (your spiritual father’s) voice. That was what happened to Samuel. He ran to Eli thinking Eli was calling him. There are many people here today who suddenly say, “oh, my father in the Lord appeared in the dream and say do this and do that.” It is God speaking to you using the voice, the face and the covering of your father.

Very very important, my first encounter with my father in the Lord after I listened to maybe 50 of his tapes in the University in those days. And you know 50 tapes then, cassettes, tapes (cassette tapes). Tape is cassette. I didn’t see CDs – cassettes filled Ghana must go (bag). I am sure some of you saw those my cassettes, plenty of them – plenty Ghana must come bags. Listening to plenty of it and then he appeared in the dream. I was on my knees. Church Gist. (He was) pouring oil on my head and then I heard he was coming to town. My wife was full like this (demonstrating) with our first child pregnancy. We looked for him when he came to town. “Excuse me Sir, this is what I saw in the dream. I will be glad if it can happen physically “ This is about 30 years now. He poured the oil on my head and from that day till forever, every devil is aware.

• Somebody, you are hearing something already!

Something dropped. From that time, something dropped. Today, it’s still dropping. It has continued to drop.

• There are people seated here today, before you leave here, something will drop!

1. Obey divine instructions. Obedience of divine instructions. Mark 4:24. Take heed means pay attention, act on it, obey what I tell you; heed it, act on it. To you who hear which means to you who hear it and do the things I said. Hearing stops where obedience stops. Hearing stops where compliance stops. Some people say, I used to hear God. I don’t know why I don’t hear Him anymore. Church Gist. In all likelihood, there may be things you heard that you have not done. Things he told you to do that you failed to do and God is never a waster of instruction. He won’t waste his time, waste effort, waste instructions on the rebellious.

Let me let you know, God will not speak everything at once. He speaks in stages. He watches to hear when you did with the last one. Then, He will speak again. Genesis 22:2. In other words, expect to hear the next thing after you have done the last one. “I am waiting for you at the mountains.” Some of us will say, Lord, tell me the mountain from here. Church Gist. Let me know the mountain you are talking about. God says, no, take your son first. Move there, when you arrive there, you can ask me, “Lord, which of the mountains?” That’s the problem with many of us. He repeated that kind of process with Samuel in 1 Samuel 16:1-3…I won’t name him now, go there first. Move step by step. Just take the first step first. Then the next step next and I will talk to you when the time to talk again arrives.

Many times (when) God is silent, it is either you are on the course of an assignment that you are doing well and there is no need to talk until you are due for the next talk. That will be my number one reason. That is, God is not talking means you are doing well. Just maintain how you are doing. When the stage is set for the next talk, I will talk. Or something I said to you, you haven’t done and you are expecting me to talk again. I am not a talkative. Church Gist. Do the last one first. Or you are in an examination and teachers don’t talk during exams. They don’t teach you inside exam hall. The teaching already happened. I am waiting for you to pass. You know what to do, so do the things you know. You are in an exam when it appears as if God is not talking. You are in an exam and I am sure you won’t fail. I trust you, I trust that you won’t fail. I have already wired you to succeed. I trust you won’t fail. So just keep on trashing the devil, keep on trashing the forces of hell. When your result comes out, we will discuss it and move forward. But I can assure, at least on a daily basis even if it is not a major matter like ministry shift or ministry move or this. Matters of encouragement, inspiration, you can hear from the Scriptures. From the Verse, the voice can come.
