Many times, people ask, how should l dress? What should I wear? What does the Bible say about dressing? What is a Christian expected to wear, should a Christian girl wear trouser and so on, what does the Bible say about dressing?
Over the years, Deuteronomy 22:9 has been a debate for several churches.
‘The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.’
What is a Christian expected to wear.
Consider; 1 Timothy 2:9-10
‘In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works’.
In deciding on what to wear, a good Christian should ask the following questions:
1. Does my clothing illustrate my surrender to the Lord and my commitment to holiness?

2. Have I focused on my heart, or only my wardrobe?

3. Am I making clothing choices consistent with transformed thinking?

5. Am I practicing modesty and discretion in what I wear?

6. Do I dress with dignity and strength?

7. Are my clothing choices bringing glory to God?

We are not our own. Our choices should reflect Christ’s Lordship in our lives and our desire to honor Him.
