Ministering at the Annual Youth Alive Convention, Mama Oyedepo recounted how the Winners Chapel started with only 4 members in an uncemented Building to its current ongoing project, the Ark, stating that everything happened through the love of God.
She said, “Mandate delivered in 1981, Church started with four people and God’s Servant used to say, three and a half because the fourth person wasn’t that…you understand, one leg in, one leg out. The first Sunday I was in Church, Living Faith Church Kaduna, we were about 17 people, adult and children. Church Gist. We didn’t have Children’s Church because we’re all children of God. So, you sit on one bench, not chair, not like this royal chair, you put your Bible on one in front of you and then your hand in the bench at the back of you. Three benches, one person. But from 4 people to 17, to 20, to 1,000, look at what God has done today! And then to nations. Today, we have people here at AYAC this year from different nations of the world. Then came a year, 10,000 Churches built in one year and here we’re seated today at the Faith Tabernacle for those of us who are here. Many of us in different locations, you are seated and then you are under air conditioning. Ah! In those days, air condition ke. Church Gist. Even the floor was not cemented, dust, as we’re dancing, praising the Lord, the dust will be joining us. But today, story has changed oh. Somebody’s story will change oh! Not without the love of God. Here at the Faith Tabernacle, very shortly, on or way to the (Ark). You will get there!”
