While teaching on Sunday, 3rd August 2025, Dr. Paul Enenche admonished the Congregation against making alternative plans for God when they think that God is ‘late’ citing the Hagar-Ishmael scenario with Biblical Abraham as an example.
Speaking, he said, “When Abraham decided to not to hear God and he made his own arrangement in the matter of Hagar. When God said, “I’ll give you a son” and he thought that God was too late and he went and arranged his own arrangement and had his housemaid give birth to Ishmael for him. Church Gist. The problem is still with us on the earth today. Every time you organize an alternative to God’s plan for your life, you have organized captivity for your life, destiny and generation. You’ll never miss it! God may be too late on your clock but he is early on His time. According to your watch, God may be late, but according to divine timing, God is always on time”.
