– Pastor E.A. Adeboye

While sharing his charge on Sunday at the Online Sunday  Service, Pastor Adeboye shared an occurrence that happened on one of his trips to Egypt that made him realize how lucky he is and all God has done for him.

He said that several years ago, when he visited Egypt for the first time. Church Gist. He was invited to preach back then, before a branch of the RCCG was established in Egypt. The person that invited him took him round and was very interested in him visiting a particular place called The City Of The Dead. It served as a burial ground for all who died during the 2nd world war. The man took him there and Pastor Adeboye described the place as being very massive. Church Gist. It had graves upon graves and over the graves, there were little tents .

The man said to him, “What you see there are accommodation for some people and once a year, when the relatives of those buried here want to come visit, they will pack their tents and move out in the morning so the relatives can come and as soon as they have gone, they return to sleeping on the slabs over the graves”

He said that hearing this sad story made him extremely grateful for his one room in Mushin at that time. He also said, “At least, it was not in the graveyard.” He admonished the audience not to complain against God, rather to count their blessings one by one and it will amaze them what the Lord has done.
