– Apostle Emmanuel Iren

While ministering during the First Service on Sunday, Apostle Iren shared his concerns about Nigeria.

He started by saying, “it is an insult to only think of survival instead of contribution. That’s the thing about my tox!c relationship with Nigeria.” He continued by saying, he loves the Country but he can’t say why. “Of course I love the people but the Country, the priorities of this Nation does not align with my values at all” – he clearly stated.

According to him, every time he reads about the history of the World, he is shocked that in 2025, the Country is still trying to figure out electricity and good roads. “We have been so inoculated that our expectations are so low. All we are crying for is a government that can give us basic amenities and even that is proving difficult in 2025.”

He gave an illustration of how a country came up with the invention of atom!c bomb, other nations gathered their scientists so they can also create their own but Nigeria was nowhere to be found. “Where was Nigeria when all these things were happening? ” – He questioned. According to him, even though he was against the invention of atom!c bomb, he just cited that example for illustration sake.

He also mentioned what transpired when two nations were at war, a government official came and was condemning the two nations but Nigerians told him to shut up; that he wasn’t speaking for them. The government official was told, “don’t put mouth o, what’s wrong with you? We didn’t join them.”

He concluded by saying people who normally say enough of prayer especially in a country in Nigeria, are wrong but he understands where they are coming from. People who also say, only work, they are also wrong. He stated that they must be a balance between prayer and work.
