Shall we lift our hands to Heaven and magnify the King of all kings. Let us glorify His name forever if you believe that God has done something for others. Church Gist. While you are thanking Him, He will do your own. Blessed be God forever, in Jesus Most Wonderful name.
On this special day, 7 days praise, today is the last day of it. And I want to say to someone, whatever concerns you God will perfect it.
The theme is, ‘LET’S PRAISE HIM’ and I tell you, we saw God manifest. We are still hearing testimonies from the healing school where people came and God healed them all. To Him we give all the glory. Church Gist. PRAISE FOR SUPERNATURAL TURNAROUND (Part Two). We have 2 sections in the message, I will be taking part one of the message, OPERATION ANDREW (Phase 2).
Our key Scripture is John 1:40-46. If you look at the Scriptures, you will notice that Andrew, when Jesus found him, he went all out to tell somebody the good news. Church Gist. He said I can’t have something good like this and leave it to myself. He went and looked for Peter. He said, ‘Peter come come come. Church Gist. There’s something spectacular that I have discovered.’ And then, another man got in contact with Jesus called Philip. When Philip also met Jesus, he said, ‘wow! You need to come and see.’ Then Nathaniel asked him, ‘are you sure something good can come out of Nazareth?’ You know before now, people don’t believe there’s anything good in Christianity. True? Church Gist. But you know, when you became born again they said, ‘wow! Is that how sweet Christianity is?
- That is how somebody will follow you down to Jesus.
They say can anything good come out of Christianity? You say, ‘Yes, come and see.’ You will agree with me that God Himself who has brought you has granted you peace all round in the name of Jesus. Church Gist. Now each one, look for somebody. Who are you going to look for? There must be somebody around you; is that true? But how do we do it? In Isaiah 66:8, we are to pray for souls to be saved. You don’t wait for souls to be saved, you pray. ‘O God, this my brother must be born again.’ Church Gist. There are people around you who are meant for the kingdom of God but if you don’t pray, you will be surprised, they will never be born again.
I have a blood brother; we were very close when we were young, we are still close. My immediate younger brother. I told him when I went to Bible school I said, ‘Come, you will see something I have seen.’ He came to Bible school, went back but refused to be born again. Church Gist. I said how can my own blood brother not be born again and I am born again? Then what am I preaching? So when I saw that, one midnight I took his name. I dropped it on the floor. I said in the name of Jesus, be loosed from this kingdom of darkness. Be set free by the blood of Jesus and be born again. Church Gist. Now, Cherubim suspended him. That is, for Cherubim to suspend you, you know what it means. You know God can do anything any way He wants to do it. People who are not born again to suspend you, that’s a serious matter. So, when they suspended him, he had to find Christ by force. Church Gist. He became born again. Today he is born again, he is a part time pastor with us.
Now, there are people around you, that need to be born again. But you need to travail in prayers. You present their names to God, you won’t just fold your hands and say, ‘this my brother, everyday he will be drinking beer.’ Have you told him about Jesus? Have you prayed for him? Have you presented him to God before? Church Gist. You are busy condemning your friend, people around you, when you have not done your own part. Your duty is to present them to God because satan’s work is to blind their minds from seeing the glorious gospel of Jesus (2 Corinthians 4:4)
Psalm 2:8. So we have a responsibility to ask in prayer and say, ‘Lord, this my brother must be born again.’ Matthew 7:7. Ask because souls are available everywhere. Church Gist. If you ever ask God for souls, they are available everywhere. Seek for them in prayers and evangelism. Knock, in prayer, to clear every resistance. ‘O God whatever is resisting the harvest of this soul, I command that evil cleared. Church Gist. The blood of Jesus bring this my brother (you call him or her by name). By the time you appear you say, ‘Jesus loves you’ he says, ‘I’ve been waiting for you since.’ Church Gist. And everyone you invite from today, they will follow you to Jesus.
There are people who are just waiting for you to say, ‘Follow me,’ but you have not done that. Are you getting me? We are going to do it, this coming Sunday you must bring one person. Church Gist. Who around you do you want to be saved? Take a piece of paper, write the name of that person. If they are more than one, write their names. Either the person who is backslidden, write the person’s name or somebody you know, there must be somebody; don’t tell me you don’t know anybody. Church Gist. Pause for one minute, say, ‘Holy Spirit, drop in my heart the soul meant for your kingdom.’ We are going to pray with those names. If you don’t know how to write, just have the person in your heart. When we pray, you call the person by name.
Now listen, after prayer, God opened the prison door for Peter but he did not carry him out. There will always be a human contact for any soul to be saved. Even when God spoke to Paul, he did not leave him, he still sent somebody to go and talk to Paul. Church Gist. Now you have prayed, God will not bring the person to Church; you will physically invite the person. No soul can be saved just you praying. There must be a point of contact from your voice. So, you will be the instrument this week, you will go and invite that person whether on phone or anywhere, say, ‘you have to come to Church.’ And that person will come. This Sunday is when Operation Andrew must be fulfilled. Church Gist. The person says, ‘I have no transport.’ Answer: pay, make sacrifice for that soul so that Heavens will open. If that soul says, ‘I am coming for third service, even if you come for first, for that person’s sake wait for the third service.’ You carry that person to Church and follow that person till that person is established. Church Gist. Make sure everybody has one soul you are bringing on Sunday. May God reward you as you obey.
The part 2 of the message is, ‘PRAISE FOR SUPERNATURAL TURNAROUND.’ What is Turnaround? Turnaround is an abrupt and rapid positive change. Church Gist. Psalm 126:1. Turnaround again, just like Joseph, that was a turnaround – he was in prison they just sent for him.
- They will send for you! You will be sent for in a place you never thought of.
Exodus 15:11. If you want to see the wonders of God, God is saying give Him praise. Praise attracts wonders. High praises will attract high level of wonders. There’s a way God will bless you and you will be a wonder to yourself. Church Gist. Have you been blessed and you look yourself in a mirror and you wonder whether it is you? There is a way you will be happy, you forget food.
- You will hear such good news after now!
You know, when we were small if they tell you that you are travelling, sleep will not enter your eyes till morning. Church Gist. I like travelling from childhood. If my father tells me, ‘we are travelling,’ that night I won’t sleep, I will just be waiting for day to break.
- May God give you a testimony that will make you to laugh in the open.
Psalm 22:3. God is in praise and thus, whatever battle that cannot resist God cannot resist praise. This is because God Himself rides inside praise. Church Gist. So, anything that cannot resist God cannot resist praise. So when praise is involved, God is involved; and when God is involved, everything will dissolve. Say I hear.
There was a man called Paul. This man understood supernatural turnaround. He had deep understanding of supernatural turnaround. In Acts 16, he went to preach. While he preached, something happened. Church Gist. After preaching, they threw him into prison. Most times challenges do not come because you committed sin, challenges come when you are on the right track in most cases. Paul went to preach and all of a sudden, the preaching landed him in prison. That you are going through some challenges does not mean that you did something bad. Are you hearing what I am saying now? Church Gist. Not all cases. Sometimes there is a reaction from hell against you because the next step of your life, you want to go up. Paul was preaching, he went to do evangelism then, in the modern colloquial in this part of the world we say, ‘wahala.’
But Paul understood that the only way to make the enemy look stupid is to praise God. Say I hear. Paul and Silas were in prison, they prayed. Some of you have prayed, you have done 40 days, 7 days, 3 days dry, wet, vegetable, all manner of fasting you have done. Church Gist. Have you done 3 days dry before? I have never done it in my life. Somebody did 3 days dry and could not cross road – got to the center of the road, the road was divided into 2. You know, to cross the pavement, no leg to cross. Church Gist. One of my Pastor’s brother said he did 3 days dry, and went to preach. As he carried microphone and said, ‘Praise the Lord,’ he saw himself … (laughs). He said the next thing he heard was, ‘you won’t die! You won’t die!!’ They were pouring him water on the altar. He said when he opened his eyes, everybody’s leg was up and their heads were down. I said Pastor what happened? He said, I was so foolish; how can I do 3 days dry and I will go and shout? Church Gist. Even Jesus did not shout after 40 days; He just said, ‘satan it is written.’ You go and do 3 days dry then you hold microphone to shout – he just fainted.
- You will not faint in Jesus’ name.
Some of you do dry; me, I have never done dry oo. I have done 40 days fasting but not dry. Dry? No be God go tell me. The one you are doing till evening sometimes your eyes will do like this, do like this. Then you will now do dry? Church Gist. And your eyes too will be dry inside. Some of you are very funny. Bible you won’t read, you just do dry. The one you will be moving and your head will be making sounds (mimicks). They talk to you, ‘Praise the Lord.’ You say, ‘ah, wetin you dey talk? (They tell you praise the Lord and you reply what are you saying?)’
Now, Paul and Silas in Acts 16:25, midnight connotes when you are at a crossroad. Some of you are in the midnight in your finances. Some of you are in the midnight in your marriage, where your marriage is about to collapse. Church Gist. Some of you are in the midnight in some situations around you. Paul and Silas prayed to a point and said, ‘no, we have prayed enough. Let’s switch over.’
When they sang praises unto God, he wanted to stir God to manifest. He said, I have prayed, may be Angels have come but they could not handle this matter. Church Gist. So, let me bring God to manifest Himself. And when God manifested, the place shook and could not stand the presence of God.
When they prayed for Peter, you know why Peter left? If he stays there, they will lock him again; so he ran away. But Paul did not run if you read that Scripture. Church Gist. You know why he did not run? He said if you lock me, I will praise again, it will open again. People who are praiseful do not panic. They know how to move God to manifest anytime.
- May you move Him to manifest today.
Psalm 47:1-6. You have your inheritance. Inheritance is whatever redemption offers you. But it said, when you praise Him, God will choose it for you. Church Gist. God will say this one is good for you. In case you are looking for something small, He will say no, that small one is not good, this is what I give to you. How many understand what I am saying now?
You may be choosing to work in a place where they will pay you one naira and God says no, I am going to choose 10 naira place for you. Church Gist. You may choose to be in one kpako (substandard) university, God will say no, I will give you favour to go to world class university. If God should choose your inheritance for you, will you suffer? Say, ‘suffering has ended today.’
Our inheritance is released through praise. All your inheritance of health, favour, wisdom, glory, they are released via praise. Revelation 5:12. Church Gist. If you are lacking any inheritance, just praise God, you will have access to it. And that comes when you are violent in praise.
Have you gone somewhere you wanted to buy something, and what you wanted to buy was poor and then somebody says this one is not the quality one, see the quality one. And they give you, you felt good? Church Gist. When you were thinking that somebody will dash you 5,000 and you went there, the person brought 50,000; were you happy? That is what it means – God giving you something that is beyond your imagination.
You are thinking you will eat garri and then they cover the table with all manner of, Yoruba calls it, Orishirishi. Church Gist. First time I visited Mike Murdock, the table was from here to here (demonstrates length). The young man who followed me to Dallas said, ‘Pastor, nawa oo.’ The table from here to here, just to welcome me. The table was all manner. Americans when they want to entertain you, they entertain you. I won’t call the other side. Church Gist. They give you cup of tea. They say, do you like cup of tea? Me, I won’t drink tea. My wife likes tea, me, no way! I can stay a year without remembering tea. Is it by force? How can I visit you, I’m hungry you say tea; for what? If I want tea won’t I drink in my house?
I like American lifestyle. They give you better food to chop. But our members in that place, they give food. You want to know his place? They are stingy; room is like this (demonstrates). If you put one box, room is full. Church Gist. They calculate the money even for train. When I see some of them I say, won’t you come back home? How can you be calculating the money like this? They say from here to here, so so amount. I won’t call the currency; I will just be looking at them. Church Gist. But those of them who are close to people like us, they don’t do like that because they hear the Word of God.
So, when you are praising, praise with all your heart and praise with faith. Hebrews 11:6. Praising without focus is to live like a locust. Church Gist. When God chooses your inheritance, He will give you the best.
