While Pastor David Ibiyeomie was speaking at the Second Sunday Service of Salvation Ministries – Home of Success, he declared his unwavering commitment to preaching about prosperity regardless of what people say. Using the illustration of a runner in a race who is focused, he encouraged the congregation to ignore any negativity from those who are going nowhere. He said: “Nothing will work until you work. We live in a society where people don’t like working but they want money. How many of you are blessed this morning? You know why you have to know? You have to also know about prosperity. Please don’t pretend! I don’t care what anybody says, I will not stop preaching prosperity, if you like talk from now till tomorrow, I’ll still preach prosperity. Church Gist. Why? I have tasted poverty, I came out of poverty so I know what brought me out so I’ll teach it. There’s no amount of anything, in fact nothing anybody will talk now, will move me again. Ask me why? It’s a fool that listens to a fool. If you’re running a race, don’t listen to people. When you’re making a mark they say: “On your marks, get set, go.” And you’re carrying first, somebody says: “Big head, stupid, useless.” Do you answer him? No, there’s no point answering people who are going nowhere.”
