PRAYER IS POWERFUL BUT WHEN IT MERGES WITH PRAISE, IT IS EXPLOSIVE
PRAISE IS THE CURE TO DEPRESSION AND DESPAIR
PRAISE THAT MUST CARRY WEIGHT AND PRODUCE ANSWERS MUST CARRY THE ELEMENT OF GRATITUDE AND THANKFULNESS
DON’T BE MURMURING AND BE PRAISING, IT DOESN’T CARRY WEIGHT
ANYTHING THAT IS BASED ON THE WORD IS DURABLE IN EFFECT
REAL WORSHIP FLOWS FROM A HEART OF HUMILITY
MANY PEOPLE ARE PROUD TO PRAISE GOD THAT’S WHY THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ACHIEVE AND ARRIVE AT ANYTHING
I DO NOT LOOK AT ANYONE’S FACE WHEN IT PERTAINS TO PRAISING GOD
REAL PRAISE AND WORSHIP ARE NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT SACRIFICE
IF YOUR HEART FLOWS IN PRAISE, IT WILL COMPEL THE FLOW OF YOUR RESOURCES
TRUE WORSHIPPERS AND PRAISERS ARE GIVERS
  • Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche on “INGREDIENTS OF TRUE PRAISE AND WORSHIP” || June 2024 Impartation Service || Dunamis International Gospel Centre || The Glory Dome, Abuja.

This morning, I’m going to be charging us on the subject “INGREDIENTS OF TRUE PRAISE AND WORSHIP”. We are about to understand what makes up true praise and worship. It’s important to know that praise and worship is not just about singing and dancing. Church Gist. There are ingredients or components that cause praise to weigh heavily in the realm of the spirit and we need our praise to carry weight in the realm of the spirit because praise holds the answer to many things.

Let me speak soberly to you, among many things, praise holds the answer to the ‘night’. I’m speaking figuratively now or in parable. The night time of life is answered by praise. Acts 16:25. Church Gist. Prayer is powerful but when it merges with praise, it is explosive. When we talk about night, quickly, what does it refer to?

  1. Night time is time of darkness where it looks like life is overwhelmed with forces of darkness. Church Gist. Where it looks like you’re fighting dark forces, you don’t know where they came from.
  2. Night time connotes season of fear, fear of the unknown. Church Gist. Most times, people are afraid of night, okay in the day. Season of darkness, season of fear of the unknown.
  3. Night time connotes season of directionlessness, where there’s the need to have direction. Darkness connotes lack of direction.
  4. Night time represents season of inaction. Nothing is moving, nothing is working. Church Gist. Most times in the night, except for 24-hours services of these days, everything is on a standstill. Business activities, standstill. Season of inaction.
  5. Night time atimes would be season of isolation. Where it looks like you’re just alone, all alone. No one to talk to, no one to call friend. It was in that night time that Paul the Apostle prayed, the thick of the night, that Paul the Apostle prayed and sang, prisoners heard him and suddenly there was an earthquake. Acts 16:25-26.
  • I don’t know who is in the night time figuratively at this moment, I am here anointed to announce to you, you’re coming to the end of that night today!
He said, weeping may endure for the night but joy cometh in the morning. Church Gist. That shows you another factor of the night time – season of depression. Because darkness goes hand in hand with depression, despair, discouragement. That will be the sixth season of the night. But praise is the cure.

So, what are the ingredients of true praise that will answer anything including the night? Church Gist. I have eight of them, I will take on four in this service and four in the next service.

  1. Gratitude, thankfulness.
Praise that must carry weight and produce answers must carry the element of gratitude and thankfulness. Psalm 100:4. Psalm 35:18. Psalm 79:13. Psalm 106:1. Church Gist. When your heart is thankful, your mouth will be praiseful. Thanksgiving makes praise to flow effortlessly and there are many things to thank God for. For the gift of life. When your heart is thankful, your mouth will be praiseful. When praise is laced with thanks, it weighs heavy before God. You lace your praise with thanks, it weighs very heavy before God. Ingredient number one, gratitude. Church Gist. Don’t be murmuring and be praising. Don’t be complaining and be praising. It doesn’t carry weight.
  2. Understanding.
Psalm 47:7. Praise Him with understanding. Understanding of what? Praise Him with light. That is, understanding equals light, revelation. Psalm 56:4,10. Church Gist. That is, “I will use His Word to praise”. John 4:24. That worship in spirit and in truth, worship in light and in revelation. How many of us know that anything that is based on the Word is durable in effect? Whatever is based on the Word. Psalm 119:89. Church Gist. We worship Him on the platform of the Word. His Word said so, so, I am celebrating. His Word promises me so, so, I am celebrating.
  3. Humility, submission.
Where you know that asides God, you’re nothing. Psalm 95:6. Psalm 34:2-3. Matthew 2:11. Real worship flows from a heart of humility and pride is an enemy of praise. Church Gist. You know the way we dance and the way we move and jump, proud people can’t do that. Arrogant people. And the question is, you’re wondering what they’re proud about. “I’m too educated. I have a PhD. I have more degrees than the thermometer”. That was the pride of Michal, Saul’s daughter, David’s wife. She said, “look at you, a whole King of Israel, shamelessly, almost naked in front of house girls and house boys. Shameless. What is wrong with you? What are you jumping about? A whole King of praise. You have made yourself base”. Church Gist. Base means you have just humiliated yourself and brought yourself low. David said, “me? It is in front of God who rejected your father”. 2 Samuel 6:21. There’s an element of play in praise. Doesn’t this look like play? (Dancing his leg dance). I will play before God. When parents come home atimes, some little children will just start running. It’s okay. You play before your Father. Arrogant people cannot do it.

There are some who have never knelt down. They have never laid prostrate before God, never shed a tear in worship or anything. Church Gist. When they see people doing it, they say, “why are you too emotional? What is making you to cry?” Meanwhile, Jesus Christ, the Master of the universe, the one that nobody or nothing could conquer, He wept. Nobody was more masculine than Him. The description of macho man, can wipe out thousands of demons with one word. Humble yourself. That’s why many people have not been able to achieve and arrive at nothing. Church Gist. When it borders to God, I don’t see people’s faces, I can do anything, I can behave anyhow once it comes to God in front of anybody.

  • somebody say a loud Amen.

You saw the video of one Shiloh when dance was declared, before I knew what was happening, leg had started cutting the ground. I wasn’t aware where I was. Church Gist. Under normal circumstances, there are places you should compose yourself but e just dey body (it’s just in the body). Look at your neighbour, say, “humble yourself and you’ll be elevated by God”. Church Gist. How many people will be ready in the next few minutes to play before the Lord and to pierce and dissolve the darkness? If you’re ready, shout the loudest Amen.

  1. Sacrifice.
Psalm 54:6. Sacrifice and praise, they go hand in hand, paripasu. Jeremiah 33:11.

🎵We bring the sacrifices of praise into the House of the Lord🎵

Hallelujah! Sacrifices of praise. Sacrifice goes hand in hand with praise. Jeremiah 17:26 talks about sacrifices of praise. Church Gist. When Abraham was going to offer Isaac in Genesis 22:5, He said, “I and the lad will go yonder and worship and come again to you”. Sacrifice was called worship. Please note that real praise and worship are not complete without sacrifice. Worshippers, praisers are givers. Church Gist. They are givers, they are sacrificial people. Matthew 6:21. Anywhere your heart is, your treasure will go there. Your money flows where your heart is, your resources flow there. If your heart flows in praise, it will compel the flow of your resources.

  • somebody say a loud Amen.

In conclusion, don’t just praise for fun or formality or routine, praise impactfully and effectively armed with those forces that guarantee results.

  • Today, I see somebody stepping into light out of the night.

Within the next 8-10 minutes, you’ll step out of the night into the light.

  • somebody say a loud Amen.

So, are you ready to praise God with a grateful heart? Are you ready to praise God with humility? Are you ready to praise God sacrificially? Then stand up on your feet with the loudest shout of praise. And you’re praising Him with the understanding that the night is about to pierced.

  • look at somebody, say pierce your night with your praise.
