I welcome you to the month of September, again, it’s our month of overflowing grace and glory through godly character. The character of God, and that character will center majorly on His love, we will deal with other things but we will center on that through the month.

This morning is the blessing Sunday for the month of September and we are looking at the subject; THE GODLY WAY OF THE BLESSING. Psalm 5:12.

Our objective this morning is to understand the godly way of the blessing, the godly way to the blessing of God. ChurchGist. There are many people today who appear blessed but the way into that so called blessings is questionable. We are trying to understand the godly way to the blessing.

The truth of the matter is that the blessing of God will always travel in the direction of the righteous. God will always bless the righteous. When we say godly we mean God like or to be like God and to be like God is to live in the nature of love. ChurchGist. To function in the nature of God is to function in the realm of the blessing. Genesis 1:26,28. God made man to look like Him and as long as man looks like God, he won’t struggle for the blessing, he won’t struggle to be blessed. God made man in His image and God blessed them.

We are going to be looking at what it means to function in the blessing and to look like God. ChurchGist. The most basic thing about looking like God is walking in love. Nobody kills if he loves, you don’t steal what belongs to another person if you walk in love.

THE GODLY AND UPRIGHT WAY TO THE BLESSING

1. GIVE TO GOD WHAT BELONGS TO HIM.

Proverbs 3:9-10. Always separate a portion to God out of your substance. Matthew 6:33. In your financial life, let God be the first

What is the outcome of that? Your possession is secured when God’s portion is released. Your possession explodes when God’s portion is assured, in tithes, offerings and givings. The Nation of Israel is still blessed and relevant today because they are a Nation that understands what it means to give God His portion and they taught their children so. Some of the wealthiest people on the face of the earth today are either Jewish or they have a Jewish root. The wealth of a man John D Rockefeller exists till today because his mother taught him to tithe and even though he’s gone many years ago, the explosion still continues till today. Giving to God what belongs to Him is the Godly way to the blessing.

2. BE A BLESSING TO YOUR WORLD (ESPECIALLY TO THE LESS PRIVILEGED)

Genesis 12:2. If you’re ready to be a blessing you cannot struggle to be blessed. The writer of Acres of Diamond, Russell Conwell, the founder of Temple University, he said; if you genuinely love your neighbour as yourself you won’t struggle for resources. Job 28:11-23. I see somebody exploding in the realm of the blessing, where your generation will celebrate you like never before.

Until you’re interested in people, God cannot be interested in you. Very important! You must come to a point in your life where your success is only measured by those who became successful because of you. ChurchGist. Let your vision/target be that your success in life is measured by people who become successful because of you. If that is not your target you will never go far in life and go far with God.

Investing in people is investing in your future. It has been said that success without a successor is a failure, let your rising lift others, that is when your rising will be endless. Make up your mind that you’re not going to go up alone, if you’re going to go up, calculate the going up of others with you. So that when you go up, you’ll remain up and you’ll keep going up.

What you do with those who are lower than you will determine what the One who is higher than you will do with you. ChurchGist. There are those who are permanent oppressors of the poor, permanent oppressors of the less privileged. They don’t go anywhere and if they go somewhere, where they’re going does not have a future. Their wealth dies with them, their children cannot perpetuate whatever they have.

3. BE GOOD (NICE) TO YOUR EMPLOYEE AND LABOUR FORCE.

Be good and nice to people that work for you. Be nice to those who are in your employee force or labour force. Genesis 14:14. These were people who were born in Abraham’s house, the children of those who worked for him, who were raised in his own house. This is not the kind of world we live in today. You must know the difference between the boss’s children and other children. Have you ever seen a family where there is a little house girl who is of the same age as the master’s children? I’m sure you’ve seen such? When you see them, you’ll know the difference, these are the children and this is the maid. For Abraham it was not so. ChurchGist. No wonder he had no end to the blessing. Our children went to the same school as our chef children and other household staff children We paid everybody’s school fees, I mean our children’s school fees and the children of those working in our house. They were entering the same vehicle that drove them to school, they wore the same uniform, even when that one was not working again, the school fees continued. I’m not trying to blow any trumpet, but examples are the things that communicate principles.

Because some people think that people just happen, there is nothing that I am wearing now that I bought. See, this man is looking nice all the time, I’m busy attending to other people’s welfare and God is busy attending to my welfare. ChurchGist. Don’t mistreat your employees, it will hinder your future. Don’t withhold their wages when it is due. Leviticus 19:13. Our salary here is paid latest on the 26th not to talk of crossing until it has entered the next month, 1 month has passed, 2 months, 3 months until there are crying.

I went to one of the states and we had a crusade and they brought money to support the crusade and I said to them; this crusade is not a government project. ChurchGist. So, firstly we don’t need the money. Secondly, I heard that salaries have not been paid yet, add this money to the salary. They can’t recover from it, that is why many of our lands, states and territories are under a curse, people are working for months and no salaries are being paid.

There are some states where they use some useless wisdom, they’ll say pay them half salary this month. What a useless operation!

Abraham took care of the children of his employees. ChurchGist. Some of our people here travelled recently to Europe/ Paris for a few days, some IT guys, cameramen and some editorials, just for them to go briefly. Some of them have not even crossed the River Niger, just move and go, so that your record can be fully opened, your travel history can be opened. So, when it’s time for you to go to some places, you can seamlessly go.

When we wanted to travel for the first time, we experienced some slight challenges, because the devil knew the impact. Yes! There was visa refusal here and there, once or twice. I was fully loaded but they refused, because they knew the devil there was afraid of what we were coming to do. ChurchGist. These people didn’t pass through anything like that, they don’t even know what it means, somebody paid the price for them. One of the places we travelled to, the immigration met us inside the aircraft and then cleared everybody. They did not know what it means to pass through immigration. All they heard was this is your passport, take and move.

The same plane we entered is the same plane as those who are carrying the camera will enter or those on the drum. It’s not like we are travelling this way, you travel that way. Don’t be an oppressor. There is nothing you are that God did not make of you. ChurchGist. Somebody just said, this preaching is for my Boss. People like to look for trouble, I’m here talking with a clear conscience, he’s saying it is for his Boss. That is to show you that the Boss has no future. Probably you should buy this message for your Boss.

Your heart towards people affects your height in life. Some people don’t know why some people just naturally disappeared, they are no longer rich, or by the time they die, everything they laboured for on earth disappears. ChurchGist. Because the way and manner they have carried their lives cannot sustain the future.

4. DO NOT ADD TO YOUR RESOURCES WHAT BELONGS TO OTHERS

Genesis 14:21-23. Don’t take anything that is not yours. Money/resources belonging to another person should not cross into yours, it will corrupt your good. What belongs to another person does not increase you, it cannot increase you, it will only diminish your life. Anything that is another person that you’re trying to divert for yourself, it will never increase you, it will never lead to your increase, it will only diminish you. ChurchGist. You remember the story of Achan the son of Zerah. Joshua 7:24-26. Achan stole the Babylonian garment and all Israel gathered and they stoned him and burnt him. Achan took what was not his, all his things that he had before then was confiscated, it was sent on it, he lost what he took, he lost what he had, he even lost the lives of his family members. That will never be your portion.

5. BE FAITHFUL IN ANOTHER MAN’S BUSINESS AND INTEREST.

This is related to a labourer, an employee, a manager, you’re engaged to make an input to somebody’s business. Genesis 31:38-42. Look after another person’s business like it’s your own business. ChurchGist. Work for somebody as if you’re working for yourself. It’s a sure way to the blessings of God. We live in a country today where people are so self-centered. Everybody is doing their own thing until the boss arrives and everybody wakes up as if they are just working. Have you seen that before? Who are you deceiving? Whatsoever a man sows that shall he reap. ChurchGist. That is what has killed our government system today? One of our members was appointed as a commissioner in one of the states and she said as soon as she appeared in one of their offices, she could not understand what was going on, people came to work whenever they wanted, everywhere was noisy, you won’t see anybody on sit, she was angry, and this person has worked before in a proper international organization. Imagine working in a place like the UN and then you come into our government system, everything was upside-down, she just concluded, no wonder the Nation is where it is.

Have you heard people saying things like, don’t take government work too seriously, it is not your father’s work, that is the worst statement any man can make. They are paying your salary yet it’s not your Papa’s work, they’re giving you leave allowance yet it’s not your Papa’s work, they pay your travel allowance when you travel yet it’s not your Papa’s work, so you shouldn’t carry it on your head. Many people come out of civil service and they’re zero, because of 35 years of useless input. Don’t misunderstand me, they’re dutiful people among them, otherwise the whole thing would have totally collapsed. ChurchGist. There are people who labour and do the work but there are those that for 35 years, they can’t point at any impact. Then they retire and they are very tired doing nothing. Whatsoever your hand finds to do; do it with your might. Ecclesiastes 9:10. Give every task at hand the best you have got, even if it’s for 5 minutes, do it with your strength, even if it’s for one minute. That’s how I have lived my life. If you give me 5 minutes to preach, I will prepare seriously.

I was going to Israel for a programme one time, it was an Ethiopian Airline, it was a 5 hours flight, I worked from here until we reached Addis Ababa, the man sitting beside me was a professor, he looked at me and asked me; are you a professor or what is your work? And I told him who I was, he said I was preparing as though I was preparing for a Doctoral Thesis or something, I said yes, I’m going to deliver a paper, it was for a 35 minutes preaching. ChurchGist. I ransacked everywhere, by the time I got there, I was telling the Israelis the story of their own land and their history. One of them told me, you’re talking as if you’re a Jew, I told him; I know the history, not just Bible history, their physical history in the land, I was telling them details about their land, how many per cent of their land is desert and every single detail. I don’t know how to do it otherwise, if it is a fault, it is a good fault.

Lead prayers for 5 minutes, it is a bomb, I just put myself under pressure for those 5 minutes. And the best of life answers to the best from man, what you give is what you get, if you can’t give life the best, you can’t have the best out of life, you can’t sow average and reap eminence, whatever thy hand finds to do; do it with all thine heart.

When I receive a song, something I receive the rhythm before I receive the lyrics and when the wordings are flowing.

Every single line, the number of notes on line 2 in verse 1, is the same number of notes in line 2 in verse 3, the same with line 2 of verse 3. If you calculate it, you won’t be wrong. There are songs you hear where some verses are rushing and other verses are slow. No! That attention. I can receive the first verse today and wait till tomorrow when I’ll receive the second verse, I don’t care if it takes one week for three verses to be ready. Luke 16:11-12. Your faithfulness in that which is another man determines your access to the true riches of life. ChurchGist. See how Joseph worked in the house of Potiphar as if he was working for himself. No wonder God took him above Potiphar and gave him the whole wealth of Egypt to manage, don’t look at another person. Some people will say monkey dey work baboon dey chop. I can’t kill myself; the man is there and we are here suffering. Don’t talk like that. There was a time the man laboured too, just make sure you’re not just working for the man only you’re working for the man and you’re working for your own future. What you sow here you can reap there. So, keep sowing.

6. AVOID THE WAY OF CROOKEDNESS AND FRAUD.

Job 1:1-3. Crooked deals, businesses you can’t understand, when they’re giving you the explanation of it, it is not clear, the money in it is not clear. Please be in mind, crookedness today equals wretchedness tomorrow.

Idi Amin Dada of Uganda, if he was still alive today, he would have been the most wretched person on earth, God will never bless crookedness, He will never bless unrighteousness. What God can’t give you, you don’t need it. What you can’t get by labour and you didn’t get by favour and you didn’t get by your godly wisdom, you don’t need it at all. ChurchGist. All those young boys wasting their lives doing internet fraud, living big, spraying Dollars, living big lives and driving big cars. What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and he loses his soul? What kind of heart is it? If you stay on the computer and you begin to dupe people, I don’t understand how demonic some people are. You start telling people, my name is Dr Pastor Paul Enenche, while I was praying last night, the Lord told gave him a revelation about you and that revelation says that there are many enemies around your life, especially one old woman in your village and every village has old women, that us the major source of your problem. Now I want you to take three days of fasting but send an offering to this bank account, it is one orphanage somewhere, or somebody dying of cancer somewhere. This is the voice of the devil and there are still people who will bow for such.

My father used to say, when somebody says your father said this without you seeing me, you should know whether your father can say such. You know my father can say this, he can’t say this. ChurchGist. You understand the spiritual cycle where you’re, such a statement will never in the dream come out.

There are those who are just there, you want to steal; steal in your name. They don’t have a name, so they are using another man’s name. One of them sent me a message, he said he has been an internet fraudster and now he’s repented but now his life does not have peace, how can you have peace when you have caused many people to lose their peace? Some people’s life earning you took it. You know Paul the Apostle repented but he suffered because he suffered from other people. ChurchGist. Was he not the one standing when they were stoning Stephen, he persecuted people, when he got saved, God said I receive your Salvation but I want you to feel what you want other people to feel. So, they stoned Paul too, they stoned him very well. So, you’re doing some useless things and you’re saying you will repent later, don’t worry, you will still repent but you will feel some pain. How many times did Peter suffer compared to Paul’s suffering? Where was Peter stoned? But Paul, he suffered greatly, he was permanently recounting his suffering.

Counsel 1:

Follow the godly way of the blessing if you want results that last. There are many other ways, there are many shortcuts. There are many ways in which people want to be wealthy and influence, follow the godly way of blessing if you want results that last.

Counsel 2:

Follow the godly way of blessing if you want to succeed on earth and if you want to make eternity in Heaven. So that you will make it. Because it is possible to succeed on earth and end up in hell.

I believe there are people here today, in a short while to come, all the people in your village or community or contemporaries, if they put their resources together, it will not be near what God will put in your hands.

Prayers:

• Father, I thank you for your Word to me today, I receive the grace to run with this word, I receive your help in running with this Word, I receive it now.
• Galatians 3:13-14. Father, I ask that you’ll dismantle every ancestral, generational, witchcraft and occultic curse working against my life and destiny in this season, Lord in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Luke 20:18. Father, we take authority over every satanic reprisal and counterattack of your good works in our midst, we declare them destroyed by the power of your Spirit, Lord in Jesus name.
• Romans 8:1-2. Father, we ask for the free and abundant flow of the Spirit of life among your people in Dunamis, neutralizing the agenda and presence of the Spirit of strange disease or premature death amidst Your people, Lord in Jesus name.
• Lamentations 3:37. Father, we ask that You will dismantle every structure of generational oppression, captivity and retrogression established from the foundation of our Nation. We decree that they be completely destroyed and eliminated, Lord in Jesus name.
