-Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr
During the Covenant Day of Rescue Service, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr encouraged the congregation to avoid every form of unbelief and negative report from humans and believe what God says.
He said: “Unbelief is described as evil and it’s evil because it robs us of our inheritance in Christ and you and I must ensure that we do not permit any unbelief in our hearts. It’s so amazing how people believe doctors more than they believe God. They believe doctors! I’ve seen people who enter into the hospital, they are not feeling any symptoms, there’s nothing wrong but they enter into the hospital, the doctor tells them: “Please, can you sit down!” And they sat down. They say: “I’m sorry I have some very bad news. Church Gist. You know? The test that we carried out the other time. In fact, the report is very terrible.” And then as soon as they hear the news, they begin to feel the symptoms. Church Gist. The person who walked in and was greeting everybody is walking out gently. They say: “What’s happening?” “My leg is paining me.” Where did it come from? It came from what they heard. They so believed it. Sometime ago, some particular person went to the hospital and was given some very terrible report and he began to wane away. He was told that according to that report he was going to die very shortly. He got the report at the beginning of the week. Church Gist. By the end of the week he was almost dead and then the hospital called him: “Oh! Mister, so so is that you on the phone?” He said: “Yes!” “Oh! We are so sorry, the report we gave you is the wrong report, it belongs to somebody else.” It was when he heard that he became well. The sickness that he has was not a real sickness but because of the report he believed. Church Gist. Now, listen carefully, he believed it and he began to behave it and hear this: If he was not careful, he would die from what he didn’t have. Is somebody getting it now? He would have died from what he didn’t have and why? Because he believed the word of the doctor. This is why the Bible says: “Whose report will you believe?” You must come to a point where you elevate yourself beyond the reports of men. You must come beyond the reports of men.”
