Bishop David Abioye while preaching at the End of Month Thanksgiving Service stated how he’s always calm because he’s in a constant state of thanksgiving to God.
He said, “What breaks the heart is agitation, what keeps the heart is calmness, peace of mind, peace as still as water. A number of people have asked me several times, ‘You look calm all the time’ I say, why not? Because I’ve committed my burden to someone. He’s not sleeping because of me so I can sleep. The One who keepeth Israel does not sleep nor slumber. What am I doing in being awake? I sleep like a Baby. It’s in the process of thanksgiving that you develop capacity for calmness, that’s why thankful people are usually calm people. No matter what you bring to me, we must thank God first.”
