ANYONE WHO IS FRAUDULENT OR CROOKED OR A LIAR OR A DECEPTIVE PERSON CAN NEVER HAVE A GREAT TOMORROW FOR THEIR CHILDREN.
WHAT IS NOT YOURS BY RIGHT DOES NOT BRING YOU AN ADDITION, IT BRINGS YOU DESTRUCTION.
YOU’RE NOT IN A CLASS WITH ANYBODY, GOD IS THE DETERMINANT OF YOUR CLASS PER TIME.

We worship you, we adore you. Father, breathe upon this service tonight, thank you because you’re God, in Jesus’ precious name.
Psalm 101:7-8. This night we shall be rounding up on our subject of godly character for overflowing grace and glory. I’m speaking on the subject of : CONSEQUENCES OF INSINCERITY AND FALSEHOOD. I’m sure if you were here on Sunday, you would have understood that insincerity and falsehood are the mothers or progenitors of stealing, fraud and crookedness. ChurchGist. So, when we are talking of consequences of insincerity and falsehood, we are dealing with the consequences of lying, consequences of stealing, consequences of cheating, consequences of fraud and crookedness. I want to say that all these things are destroyers of life and destiny. This destroyed the life of people like Achan and his household, Gehazi and his lineage and Judas Iscariot from the face of the earth.
I said sometime ago, we have control over our actions, but most times we don’t have control over their consequences.
What are the consequences of these actions (stealing, cheating, fraud and crookedness).
- THE BANKRUPTCY OF DIVINE PRESENCE.
When a person lies, steals, cheats and defrauds, this person can never be a carrier of divine presence. ChurchGist. You can never hang around a thief and feel God, you don’t hang around a lier and feel the presence of God, you don’t stay near a crook and feel God. Psalm 101:7-8. Like you know, divine presence is what is called the anointing. Acts 10:38. God with a person is what is called the anointing. So, the life of fraud, lying and crookedness deprives one of the presence of God, it doesn’t matter how you are and what you’re doing, a businessman, community leader, whoever you’re, if you’re found cheating and lying or in any fraudulent activity, you will never be able to walk or maintain the anointing.
- PREMATURE DEATH
Liars, thieves and fraudulent people, they do not have lives that are durable. Psalm 101:7-8. They don’t have a future, his life span is brief. Jeremiah 17:11. When he thinks he’s about to enjoy the money, his life is cut short. I’m sure you know that physically when they catch a thief in the village they stone them to death, at times they put tyres on their neck and burn them into ashes. Those days they used to kill armed robbers by firing squad, they would just tie them to a stick, that is very physical.
I know of people who have been killed because they defrauded somebody. I heard the story of a young man who was living a very fast paced life and then he was cheating and deceiving people. One day somebody waylaid him in Lagos and said; who do you think you cheated like that? And they began to beat him, that was how he died at the prime of his life. There is no future for the life of a criminal. Even if it is not something physical, the law of the spirit that the person will not have a lifespan, that law will follow such a person. 2nd Samuel 1:15 -16. The guy that lied to David that he killed King Saul. This man was telling a lie, he didn’t kill Saul but he lied that he killed Saul and that lie cost him his life. You shall fulfil your days.
Proverbs 18:21. Men have died for lying, men have died for fraud and corruption, they have died for saying the wrong things. You shall fulfil your days in Jesus name.
- THE ATTRACTION OF THE CURSE OF THE LORD
The liar is under a curse, the thief is under a curse, the fraudulent person is under a curse. Zechariah 5:1-3. So, there is a curse that is reserved for liars and fraudsters, the curse of the flying roll. Jeremiah 22:13. So there is a curse, everytime you see a thief on the road a curse is after him, the crook is cursed, the thief is cursed, the liar is cursed, you don’t want to live like that. ChurchGist. So, it doesn’t matter how much, how flashy it looks today, don’t go for it because it is cursed. Please don’t envy everybody moving about with flashy car or flashy phones or flashy dress or flashy this or that, you don’t know the whole story, you don’t know how they got their money, some killed to get their money, some sold their bodies to get the money, some cheated to get the money.
So, just calm down and let God determine your class per time, do all you can, do your best and leave the rest in the Hands of God, discharge your responsibilities and leave your possibilities in the Hands of God. I’ve never struggled, I’ve never envied anybody, I have lived my life at my level per time. ChurchGist. I remember when we came into town newly, we wanted to enrol our child in school, the first child was the one that came with us into town the others met us while we were in ministry, they met us here, so we wanted to enrol our child in a nursery school and I asked them to show us some nursery schools, some they gave us about 4 options for the nursery school and they told us the amount for each, and it was in increasing order of cost, school fees.
I told my wife and she said which one should we go for? And I said it is obvious, I don’t care the quality of the school, it is the money we have that determines the school, it is obvious the last one that is for this amount that is the less expensive one that is the school, the topmost one is good but where is the money to handle it, the second one is also good but where is the money, the third one is also good but the money, so the last one. ChurchGist. Now, when she went to that school, we spoke clean English at home. The school almost damaged her English. We say the right thing, they will say it upside down, that is to show you the level of the school.
When our level changed the school changed, when our level changed further the school changed further, not from stolen money, not from church money, not from anybody’s money, from personal money as God blesses, the level was changing. ChurchGist. Now when they are speaking English at times we need to ask them what is the meaning of this one? Lawyer’s grammar everywhere. Halleluyah! Don’t envy anybody, you’re not in a class with anybody, God is the determinant of your class per time, don’t struggle with anybody accept your status per time, we lived in a one-bedroom flat when we came into town, two Medical Doctors for 13 years we moved from there, long story made short we were in a rented house for 13 years in this city, Churches were being built around.
We went to visit one of our colleagues in ministry who was living in Maitama at that time that house where we went for the visitation was like a mansion, I think at that time the house rent was like 5 Million or 7 Million, we were just in one tiny place somewhere but we followed our lives, we didn’t say okay you are in Maitama we are going to look for somewhere in Asokoro. ChurchGist. We followed our pace per time and today house is not a testimony, that I got a house can’t be a testimony now I was given a house in America in Chicago I haven’t seen it till today and other one I think they have given me like 2 or 3 properties here in this town that I don’t know their locations, some of them are not members of this Church I think I know 2 who are not members of this Church.
Don’t struggle for it when it is not yet time, He makes all things beautiful in his time. Psalm 84:11. If it appears like He is withholding it, then it may not be good enough for now. This is one of the greatest challenges of our nations, you see people flying, you see somebody flying with a jeep or something, you want to become like him now, you don’t how he got it, you don’t know his process, you don’t know his procedures, you don’t know his principles, you don’t know what he did. ChurchGist. Not everything that glitters is gold, just calm down.
One man saw me in America with my wife and he said to me I am a tailor and I can make suit and I know you and I want to make suit for you and I said alright, he took my measurements that was in Florida a British tailor and he made a suit so sharp and so smart and he said I give it to you free of charge but I make this type of suit for royalties and he was mentioning Kings of Nations he flies First Class as a tailor anywhere in the world and said the cost of one is $ 10,000 , just 1 for those kind of people. ChurchGist. Ask me if I will pay that? Am I crazy? Am I charmed? And he brought his brochure and he mentioned his clients, the first on his list were Kings. Halleluyah! And now maybe you saw someone with such a dress and you say I want to go and buy this one, no you don’t do that, you don’t know who gave him, he didn’t buy it.
Look at somebody by your side and say beware of who you envy, you don’t know the whole story.
- Your destiny no devil shall abort it in the name of Jesus
Many years ago, somebody brought me a shoe and he said the shoe was #10,000 or #7,000 then, and that was like Twenty years ago or more than and by then I have never given #7,000 or #10,000 as offering at once to God, he brought the shoe and said this shoe is powerful, this is the amount and I said the shoe does it have tyres so that I don’t need a car, why will it be at such a price, please go and look for somebody who will buy it. ChurchGist. Papa Oyedepo said life is in phases and men are in sizes just accept your status per time, this phase comes and it goes then you move to a higher phase and to another higher phase just accept your status per time, don’t compete with anybody just defeat your last level and move to the next level.
- THE WASTAGE OF LIFE’S LABOUR AND INVESTMENTS
Jeremiah 17:11. Every thief, every crook, every fraudster is just heaping up for wastage. Zechariah 5:4. Ecclesiastes 2:26. So the man that is a crook, a wicked man is only heaping up the wastage of life’s labour and the wastage of life’s investment. ChurchGist. I’ve seen people, rich people, famous people who gathered by fraud, by crookery they never saw the end of their investment even in this Country we know many of them, other Countries of the world, the Democratic Republic of Congo leader of those days; Mobotu Sese Seko heaped up riches in France, they drove him away on exile, he went to North Africa somewhere and died there as a pauper. Idi Amin Dada of Uganda couldn’t enjoy his wealth, he gathered up, heaped up and it wasted in the future, please don’t gather for waste gather for the future, don’t gather for waste, don’t gather by fraud, don’t gather by crookery don’t gather by stealing because it is all a waste, the wastage of life’s labour and life’s investment.
- THE DESTRUCTION OF THE FUTURE
This is the guarantee of no future, whenever a person is a crook, whenever a person is fraudulent, whenever a person is deceptive it destroys the future. Jeremiah 17:11. The future was gone because they gathered and it was not by right. ChurchGist. Adam’s future was gone because he ate the fruit that he was not licensed to eat, he took what he was not meant to take, the future was gone. People who eat what they are not licensed to eat, who take what is not theirs, their future can never be guaranteed.
- THE RUIN OF THE NEXT GENERATION
Every mother, every father should take note of this point, thieves are destroying the future of their children. There are people today who are using money gotten from bribes and stolen money, and money gotten from fraudulent activity to send children to school, train them in America and send them here and there and they don’t know that they are just finishing the future of their family, just finishing the next generation. ChurchGist. That is why you rarely find the children of the most influential and big people ever influential most times, and I’m not saying that all of them are fraudulent or crooked, but anyone who is fraudulent or crooked or a liar or a deceptive person can never have a great tomorrow for their children, never! Joshua 27:24-26. His family was burnt with fire, the whole children perished in one day because of the iniquity of one father. 2nd Kings 5:27. What is coming on you is also going to come on your children because you decided to be crooked and be a thief my dear brothers and sisters, men and brethren, if you love your children, you love their future, work in uprightness.
Something happened a few days ago somebody brought me a painting, he painted me, painted my wife and then he painted all our children, the painting was very accurate except my own, and I told him; I said my own is not accurate, you have to repaint it, he said yes, I was in a hurry. ChurchGist. He painted everybody accurately. Before that time people have painted for me before, but not to this level, but when I saw the way he painted my loved ones, I gave him money that I have not given to any canva artist before. My heart was so moved, I told my wife that I want to give that man a particular amount of money, my wife said, really! I said yes, just because he painted my loved ones and he painted it right. After I gave the man the cheque, he said I will do more paintings. My wife said; No! This is just for the purpose of this one, if you do any other painting, don’t be assured that you’re going to get anything like this.
I’m just trying to say that, the natural thing for anybody is to do things with your next generation in mind. If you love your children, be cautious how you live today, especially in the realm of how you make money and what you do with it. The same way the negative things you do destroy your children, the positive things you do will establish them. Psalm 112:1-3. Proverbs 20:7. ChurchGist. He has gone but his seeds are blessed, how he walked today affected how his children walked tomorrow.
One day I was talking to my father in the Lord, I said sir; you’re so blessed, everything around you is working, ministry is working, ministry is working, I said look at your children, the first one is a pastor, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr, the second one is a pastor; Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, the third one and fourth one, none of them missed their ways at all. He said; it is scriptural, Proverbs 20:7. He said just be real with God, don’t play pranks, just be true, I’m saying that because that’s a living example. ChurchGist. The same way that crookedness damages the future of the next generation, uprightness establishes the future of your next generation.
- I prophesy to you today, your offsprings, none shall go astray and anyone that has gone astray by mistake for any reason, I declare their restoration today, the Lord shall help your children, help our next generation in the name of Jesus.
- DAMNATION IN ETERNAL HELL FIRE.
Revelation 21:8. All liars shall have their place in the lake of fire, everything we have said as consequences are all shadows compared to this one. What shall it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his soul, if he was crooked and he got the latest car and aircraft but loses his soul.
COUNSEL
- Live in truth! Live in sincerity! 3rd John 1:4.
- Never add to your treasure what is not yours by right. What is not yours by right does not bring you an addition, it brings you destruction, it doesn’t bring you an addition. Genesis 3:20-23. Leave everything, since you’ve decided to take what I asked you not to take, leave it and go.
PRAYERS
- Hebrews 12:16, Father, I receive your help, I receive your grace to walk in the path of truth, help me Lord, to walk the path of truth and sincerity, help me Lord, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, wherever I walked in insincerity in times past, I ask for mercy. Father, I ask for the reversal of the consequences of wrong actions, on my life, on my children, on my generation, all consequences I ask for mercy now, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, we ask that you will uproot the wicked out of our land, Nigeria and establish your perfect plan and purpose for our land Lord, in Jesus’ Name (Psalm 101:8)
