Preaching at the Third Service of the Breaking Generational Curses Service, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr stated that many Christians pray and they are even surprised when they get an answer.
He said: “There are many times we say things we know but even the things we say, we don’t believe. That’s why you will find a believer saying I didn’t even know that it would happen like that. Have you noticed that Christians pray and after the prayer, they are even surprised when they get an answer? They’re so surprised that they also sing it in a song: 🎶 I didn’t know You will favour me this way. Church Gist. Even though I prayed, but You favoured me this way. 🎶 That is, you didn’t know it will come but you prayed it should come so you’re even surprised that it came. Now, are you seeing the fact that even within prayers. Many prayers are full of doubt, they’re only offered to God in case God will try and answer: “Lord, I have prayed. If You’re willing, answer oh! If You answer, I’ll be surprised oh but if You like, You can answer” but that’s not the Spirit of Faith. When the Spirit of Faith is in operation, there is the capacity to believe all things.
