During the Enough is Enough Service, Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr gave an illustration using the analogy of spraying insecticide to illustrate the power in the Name of Jesus. He mentioned that the Power is already present, but one must actively use it in faith to overcome problems.
He said: “God’s Servant gave us the illustration in the First and Second Service of the Anointing coming forth like the spraying of insecticides, that when it is sprayed. All of the various mosquitoes and insects in the environment begin to fall. Is that not so? If you carry this now and this is maybe Baygon and you enter into a closed room and you spray it, you close all the windows, close all the doors. Why? Because every mosquitoes is going to be looking for way to run out. If you put a white sheet in the ground, you will see all of the mosquitoes that were hanging in the environment, they will begin to drop one by one. Why? The ointment that they cannot stand has been sprayed in the environment. Church Gist. But many of us have the ointment but because we don’t engage it in faith, it is closed. If you have one carton of Baygon, you can still have cockroaches inside the carton playing with it. What will kill them is inside but they are there laying eggs and reading children in the midst of what can destroy them. You see? Many of us are carrying the Name but we don’t know what we carry so all manner of sicknesses are hanging like cockroaches in our lives, laying eggs and rearing children. One person has one condition, it gives birth to another one. It’s like a cockroach laying an egg and then multiplying inside the life of a person. But somebody say: “No more!” You can’t have the answer and be living with the problem. No! The Name is like ointment that is poured forth and when it is poured forth, the enemy is caused to bow.”
