King of Kings, Lord of Lords we bless your Holy name we say Thank You for January, thank You for February, thank You for March, Thank You for April, Thank You for May, Thank You for June, Thank You for July, Thank You for August, Thank You September, Thank You for October, Thank You for November. You have brought us thus far and we know you will see us through till the end. Father let this be our appointed time in the way you alone can do it. Let tonight be our night in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
I want to rejoice with everyone here today because when I was praying months ago, actually during the Convention for what will be the theme of the Congress and the theme of November and the Lord told me, “November will be THE APPOINTED TIME And that December Congress will be THE SIEGE IS OVER. Church Gist. I trembled with joy because something is about to shift in the spiritual realm. So I was praying “Lord let your people be alive till November”. The Congress is going to be from December 6th to 10th and it is going to be follow the exact same pattern of last year, a huge part of it will be Virtual – Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, then on Friday in particular. Friday will be loaded, we will have Regular Holy Ghost Service, Communion Service and Anointing Service all of them loaded in that Friday so I don’t need to ask you to invite your friends to come. I know they will come but invite your enemies to come so they can come and get born again and no longer be your enemies. Those days that are virtual, are virtual only for those who are far away. For those of you who live on the camp and the near by villages and towns you are welcome because from Monday I will be here. This year’s Congress is going to be a Congress like we have never seen before. Don’t let me tell you too much, it’s only about 30 days or so away and you will soon be swimming in the glory of God.
Habakkuk 2:1-3
- All the promises of God for you will come to pass tonight.
When I got born again, I had many questions and as an academic, a mathematician I am talking about 48 years ago my brain was still very active, I had many questions, some questions that if I asked my Pastors they would have thrown me out of the Church. Questions like “is it true that God knows the ending from the beginning?” the answer is of course Yes!. Okay, if that is true Did He know that Adam and Eve will eat the Forbidden fruit and if He knew they were going to eat the forbidden fruit why did he plant it? If He planted it and He knew they were going to eat it then why did He get angry at them for doing what He knew they would do? Church Gist. You can see that those are very dangerous questions. Since I know that if I go to my Pastors with such questions they will chase me out, I turned to God Himself “Daddy you know I am not been naughty, I am not trying to issue you query , I just want to know. Could you please answer me? Adam was hiding behind a tree, you already knew what He had done and where he was but you were still asking “Adam where are you” is it that you didn’t know where he was? I just want to know”.
Finally I got an answer from Him, it was from Him I learnt that from all those people who have been around, the one who got closest to the truth is a man called Shakespeare. Shakespeare was an English poet and he wrote that all the world is a stage and everyone of us are actors and actresses. There was a play written by the Almighty God Himself and that play was written down in a book. (Hebrews 10:5-9, Acts 15:18) Before you were born God wrote a book and you and I are to be actors and actresses in the play. Not only did He write the play, He is also the producer and the director of the play (Psalms 33:11). What He wrote in that play is what we are acting out. An actor can get on the stage and do what He likes, He tries as much as possible to change the way the author of the play wrote it. Church Gist. At the end of the day, what the author wrote is what shall come to pass (Proverbs 19:21). It doesn’t matter what the enemy may try, the plan of God for your life nothing can change it. Isaiah 46:10 says God declares the ending from the beginning and from ancient times He declares things that are yet to be done saying my Counsel will stand and I will do all my pleasure”. So when you see certain things happening that don’t make sense to you happening, it is simply a part of the play.
A very quick example God showed a boy called Joseph, He gave him a glimpse of the play in two dream “Boy, all your brothers are going to bow to you, even your Mum and your Dad” but being a young boy instead of keeping His mouth shut, He announced it, the brothers got angry and they sold him to slavery, they thought who ever wrote that in you future made a mistake, we will cancel it. God sat in heaven laughing, they thought they were destroying Joseph they didn’t know they were helping Him towards the goal.
- I have great confidence that all of you who are reading this now, you will end well.
However, because He is the writer of the play, if He likes He can change some things in the play, many a times when you see a film show and you see one sequence following another, if you know how many parts of that film they have cut off before they can give you the final picture you will be amazed. The writer of the film can change actor, change story, change sequence (1 Samuel 2:30).
- Anything that you will do that will cause God to change His good purpose for your life, you will never do it again.
When you go through the Bible with that understanding, you will see more and more of the play showing. One is the one I said earlier, that God came down and said “Adam where are you?” As if he doesn’t know. “Who told you, you are naked? Have you eaten the fruit I said you shouldn’t eat?” He knew, it was part of the play.
Genesis 32:22-29
Jacob wrestled with an angel and the angel couldn’t defeat him, an angel couldn’t defeat a man? You know that’s a joke. The angel dislocated his hipbone and Jacob kept on wrestling, a single angel according to the Bible killed 180,000 soldiers in a night, that’s how powerful an angel is. Church Gist. When God wants to bless you, He does certain things that you will say does not make sense. That is why I am rejoicing with someone here tonight because at long last your moment has come.
When there is a play, every actor has his own time when he will come in, when he would do what he needs to do and when he will get off the stage. The one who would act my part has been chosen by the author (Jeremiah 1:4-5). Before I formed you, I knew you. You didn’t come by accident and I have prepared you for a particular part of my play. If only you will just take a little time and go over the details of your life so far and see how one thing led to another and here you are now listening to me tonight, you will know God is great. The mere fact that you are still alive today means God has not finished with you yet.
The time you come in is determined by Him, the time you begin to manifest; the time you begin to act your part is determined by Him (Galatian 1:13-16). There is a time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). When you get on the stage, you come you play your part and you go (Ecclesiastes 1:4). Church Gist. In Luke 1:5-37 God decided that Jesus was going to come to the earth but there will be a fellow to clear the way before Him and that fellow will be only six months older than Jesus that’s why Zachariah and Elizabeth didn’t conceive even though they were holy until six months before Jesus.
- That is why I have a feeling that this particular month, many barren women will conceive.
John the Baptist was born according to his appointed time, his job is to declare the lamb, announce him, advertise him to the world. That was His assignment and as soon as he was done, if you go to Mark 6:17-32, they took him off the stage even though the method of his going was by beheading him but he had finished his assignment and Jesus gave Him a testimonial.
That brings us to God’s timing, the timing of God like everything else about Him is always perfect, always perfect because He is a perfect God, 2 Samuel 2:31 makes it clear that His ways are perfect. That is why if you read Acts 2:1-4, the Bible says when the day of Pentecost was fully come, God didn’t act one minute too soon or too late.
That brings us to where we are going, all I have said is just introduction. You have your own appointed time, Job 7:1. Every man has his own appointed time. But a point we want to focus on for the next few minutes is How do I know that my appointed time has come?
Genesis 18:1-14
- God says to someone here tonight that the greatest terror in your town will soon become born again.
Genesis 12:1-3
We just see It out of the blues, get thee out of thy country to a land I will show you”. We didn’t see any part where it says Abram loved God, God just said it is your time to play a part in this play, in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. And the man that God blessed was barren for 25 years after God promised, nothing happened. There were some funny things that happened, the wife came to him and said “Oh we know God promised but He seems to have forgotten, let us help Him”. Church Gist. You know the rest of the story. But one day came, Abraham was sitting down in front of his tent and the appointed time came. When your day comes, you will get a divine visitor. When that day comes, location does not matter. That of Abraham came in front of His tent, that of Moses came at the back side of the desert, that of Peter the Apostle came in the Upper Room, that of Saul of Tarsus came on the road. He was travelling to go and do havoc when his day came. Location doesn’t matter when your day comes, all of a sudden you will know you have a visitor.
Something happened in 1963, Daddy wants me to tell you that’s why I am telling you. The late Nnamdi Azikiwe was Governor General of Nigeria and he came to visit Ondo town, at that time I was a teacher at Ondo Boys High School so we all went to receive Him, the whole town lined the road because the Governor General was passing by. There was one old teacher of Ondo Boys High School and we were standing side by side and Zik was driving pass in an open car, somehow his eyes strayed and he saw that teacher and He stopped the motorcade, came down from the car and stood before this old man. Church Gist. I don’t know exactly what they said one to the other but the old man began to cry. What happened was that old man was a teacher in the Grammar School Zik went to, the teacher was responsible for the expulsion of Zik from school. So the Governor General came to the teacher who sent him out of school in the crowd, after what ever they said he went back to his motorcade and drove off.
- The Lord said I should say to you, that very soon your number one enemy will come and you will say to him, ”see what the Lord has done”.
The Location doesn’t matter when your time comes, it could be at home, it could be on the road but there is something special about the visitation that Abraham got, he lifted up his eyes and he saw three men. If you read the story very well, there is no doubt about it that one of them was God Himself. If you read it, you will find out that it was only one who was speaking. Meaning what? Your divine visitor could be God Himself. In 2 Chronicles 2:1-12, it was God Himself that came to Solomon.
How can God visit me Himself? If you read John 1:1, it says “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was God”. Your divine visitor came be the Word, in 1 Kings 17:2, the Bible says the Word of God came to Elijah, in 1 Kings 18:1 the Word of God came to Elijah and told him “Son, no more hiding”.
- The word of God is coming to someone here tonight and is saying your time has come.
The second way you can have a divine visitor is an angel, in Judges 13 when Manoah and his wife’s time came, it was an angel that visited them. In Luke 1:8-21, when God wanted to tell Zachariah that the one who is going to go before the Lord Jesus is about to be born, He sent an angel. How do I know an angel when I see one? Occasionally the Angel that God would send to you could be a human being. For example, in 2 Kings 5:1-14 Namaan was a leper and the angel God sent to him when his time came was a housemaid. It was the girl who said “I know where my master can get his healing”. I can tell you stories upon stories of human beings who God used to bring people to the fullness of their purpose.
- The angel that God wants to send to you, may He do so tonight.
It could be a Prophet. In 1 Samuel 1:9-20, it was Hannah praying in Shiloh like no man’s business and all of a sudden, God told his prophet look at that woman praying as if she is drunk, talk to her and when she has said all she wants to say, issue a decree. Church Gist. When your time comes, God is most likely going to send a prophet. In 1 Samuel 16:11-13, when the time of David came, a prophet came visiting. In 1 Kings 19:15-21 when the time came for Elisha to begin to fulfill his purpose to stop being a farmer and to become one of the greatest prophets, God sent a prophet. I have always said I am not a prophet, I am a pastor but I hear from God occasionally and It is God who told me the team for this month is the appointed time.
- So I prophecy to someone that this very moment your appointed time has come.
I have told you before the story of my Father in the Lord, that we went to Tulsa for a Convention and we finished on Friday, on Sunday we went to a Church and nobody knew us there. It was our first visit and because we were all black and all visitors clearly, they sat us in front. The preacher was preaching and all of a sudden, He was standing in front of my Father in the Lord, and he said “Thus saith the Lord, that which I promised you long ago is about to come to pass” and he turned back and went back to the altar. Church Gist. Papa doesn’t understand English so I was his interpreter, He said what did he say? I said I will tell you later, I don’t want to miss any part of these sermon. After the meeting, He said “what did he say?” I said “what is it that God told you long ago? God said that it was about to come to pass” and Papa began to cry, that was 1979, God had told him in 1952 and the old man had thought that it can never happen, He had told him “I am starting a church through you, that church will go round the world”. As at 1979 the church was still in Yoruba land, the old man was getting ready to go to heaven he thought God had forgotten all His promises. Papa died not too long after that but look at what God has already done. When the appointed time comes, He is likely to send a prophet.
The second thing that will show you that you appointed time has come is what you will see in this same story in Genesis 18:2-5, all of a sudden Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw three men and ran to meet them and said “come to my house and rest a little, let me give you water to wash your feet and food to eat” – an urge to be generous, an urge to be hospitable will begin to grow within you. A desire to serve God, a desire to be a blessing to God’s people.
Hebrews 13:2.
In 2 Kings 4: 8-10, in the case of the Shunamite woman she just saw the man of God passing by and she said “Man of God come and eat in my house”. The man of God said “Ah ah! Who told you I am hungry?” The Bible said she insisted and practically forced the man of God to eat, and the man of God kept coming back. She went further to build the man of God an apartment. It wasn’t long before the man of God said “Woman in nine months time, you will be carrying a baby”. Church Gist. An urge to be generous like you have never been before will suddenly come upon you because your time has come. Again you discover something if you go on to Genesis 18:10, that God will replace prophecies with a decree. There have been many prophecies to Abraham, but on this particular occasion God didn’t say one of these days, God said in layman’s language “Your wife Sarah will become pregnant tonight”. Some of you may not have paid attention to what I said before, but this is November and nine months from November we shall see what we shall see.
Prophecies can be conditional (Isaiah 1:19, Isaiah 3:10), but when it comes to a decree God does not put conditions “Let there be light and there was light” Period! A prophecy can be dependent upon time, like in Joel 2:28-31 but when it comes to decree it is now. In Mark 10:46-52, when God said to Bartimaeus receive your sight, it happened immediately.
- For someone whose time has come, I decree in the name of the one who called me your problems are over.
Decree doesn’t wait, when your time comes prophecies are replaced by a decree.
Daddy asked me to tell someone, He said “when I sent Elijah to Elisha, Elijah waited for Elisha”. He asked me to tell whoever that fellow is, I will cause your helper to wait for you.
God said there is someone reading this now, it doesn’t matter what the enemy may try, you will reach the top.
When I was doing my Post Graduate Studies at the University of Lagos, my supervisor, an Indian gave me an assignment and then travelled. By the time he returned I had gone far, very far. Church Gist. He came back and saw how far I had gone and he asked me “Enoch I know you are a Christian so you won’t lie, who helped you?”. If I said Jesus he would laugh at me so I had to say Professor Emmanuel.
- Professor Emmanuel is going to help some students here tonight.
When I told him, Professor Emmanuel he said “Of which department?”. That is where I got into trouble because Jesus belongs to all the departments. The Lord wants me to tell somebody, He said you are going to climb higher and faster than your boss can ever expect.
When your time comes, you have heard of the Almightiness of God before, but all of a sudden you begin to experience it for yourself. It is a beautiful thing to hear testimonies but hear me there is nothing like being the testifier. This time it’s not just you hearing it, it’s you experiencing it.
- I decree in the name that is above every other name, that you will be the next one to testify.
When you experience the Almightiness of God for yourself, we read about it, we quote it that there is nothing God cannot do, we sing about it but there is nothing like the experience of what God can do. But you have a role to play, an unknown author said three things about life and I want you to take note of them
I. Life is a game, play it.
When I heard that I said you should have said life is a play, play your part. Life is a play written by God, play your part.
ii. Life is a challenge, meet it.
I would rather say life is a challenge, you live up to expectation.
iii. Life is an opportunity, seize it.
I say I agree life is an opportunity grab it from the front of the head. My father told me when I was younger, he said opportunity is like a man who has plenty of hair in front of his head but the back of his head is bald. When opportunity comes, grab it in front of his head because if it passes you there is nothing to hold at the back of it’s head.
What has this got to do with your role? Again based on the study of Abraham in Genesis 18:2, when Abraham saw this three men he ran towards them. Any opportunity you have, seize it. There is a poem I learnt way back in 1957, it says
“there is a tide in the affairs of men which taken at the swell leads on to fortune.
Neglected, all the voyages of their lives will be in shallows and mystery”.
God will give every one opportunity, if you grab the opportunity you will just be going higher and higher. If you let it go, God have mercy. Take the case of Bartimaeus, He heard that Jesus was passing by and Jesus never came back that way again. As soon as he heard that Jesus was passing by, He grabbed the opportunity. Several years ago, I was visiting one country far away from home and there was this woman who had been barren for I don’t know how many years exactly, so we were holding the Holy Ghost Service in a rented hall, so for me to have a place to stay and pray, they have to take a motor home there and I was in the motor home praying and there were guards all around to ensure that no one disturbed me. Church Gist. As soon as I was done praying and stepped out of the motor home, she ran into the motor home and sat on where I sat and when the guards came to take her out, she said don’t worry yourself I have already gotten what I want. She became pregnant that month. Tonight is your night seize this opportunity.
Genesis 18:6-8, not only did Abraham run to meet this people, he hastened to prepare a very good meal for them.
Proverbs 22:29
In the case of Bartimaeus, he didn’t just cry he kept on crying until God answered him, the woman with the issue of blood kept on pressing forward until she got what she wanted. Learn to wait upon the Lord (Isaiah 40:31).
Your time has come, before we come back in December, you will testify.
Learn to pray diligently, learn to hold on to God until you get your miracle.
How can I be sure that I am the one whose time has come, there is a saying that if Mohammed does not go to the mountain, the mountain will go to Mohammed. You can force your time to come, you cannot tell the Almighty God that tonight is my night. We read a story in John 2:1-12, at the Wedding in Cana the wine finished and the mother of Jesus came to tell Him and he said “My time has not yet come”. The mother must have smiled or must have said to herself “Son, your time will come tonight” Because she told the people there “don’t listen to that story of the time not yet, anything he asks you to do, do it”. Before the end of the day “my time has not yet come” became “my time has come”. If you refuse to take No for an answer, your time will come tonight.
There is a prayer that you will pray and you yourself with know that God has heard you. God will hear you tonight.
Remember I told you the whole thing is a play, but I have to tell you that whether you play your part or you don’t, whether you miss your part or you don’t, the play must continue that is why the one who wrote the play has a substitute for every actor. If you are not playing your part very well, someone will replace you.
- I pray for you that God will not replace you with someone else.
Put your hands in the hands of the one who wrote the play and He will guide you aright. That is what you mean when you surrender your life to Jesus, you are simply saying “I don’t know the best way to play my part, help me”. Church Gist. That is what Jesus Christ meant when he said “without me you can do nothing”. That is what the Bible says when it says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
Daddy says “tell my people there is the sound of abundance of rain”.
Prayer Points
- Praise God for preservation
- Lord fulfill your purpose for my life
- Don’t substitute anyone else for me.
- Father you control times and seasons, let this be my appointed time.
- Father you can change “not yet” to ‘now’. Please do so for me
- Father let the next sunrise be my personal new dawn.
- Father let this be the appointed time of breakthrough for me, my family, my nation and your Church.
- Your own personal request.
- The Almighty God will grant your request
- Your time will be now.
- Everything you have been waiting for from God, you will get it now.
- All the promise of God concerning you shall be fulfilled tonight.
- Every prophecy shall become a decree
- You will not die before your time.
- Every opportunity you have lost shall be returned to you.
- Your breakthrough begins now.
- Your appointed time becomes now.
- In your life no more delays.
- For your success, for your joy, for your promotion, for your fruitfulness, no more delays.
- Your day has come and so shall it be.
Daddy asked me to tell His people “your heaven is opened at last”.
My Father and my God I bless your Holy name. Thank you for Loving us, thank you for setting us apart. Thank you for this unmerited favour that you just kept on making available to us, Father accept our thanks in Jesus name. Father I pray that beginning from now that breakthroughs that nobody can explain will begin to come the way of your children. Church Gist. Daddy in your own miraculous way, those who came today by bus by this time next year let them come in their own cars. Everyone who has been a partaker of this service don’t let them ever know failure in their lives again. Let it be well with them in Jesus mighty name we prayed.
