GOD’S SERVANT, BISHOP OYEDEPO, HAS SHARED WITH US MANY YEARS AGO, HOW THAT IN SCHOOL, BASED ON THE WAY HE WAS SERVING GOD, ONE OF HIS LECTURERS LOOKED AT HIM AND SAID, “DAVID, IF YOU WANT TO BE A STUDENT, BE A STUDENT. IF YOU WANT TO BE A CHRISTIAN, BE A CHRISTIAN.”
HE SAID TO HIS LECTURER, “I AM A FULL TIME CHRISTIAN AND A PART TIME STUDENT.”
TODAY SEE WHAT GOD IS MAKING OF A FULL TIME CHRISTIAN AND A PART TIME STUDENT.
WHATEVER YOUR ENDEAVOURS IN LIFE MIGHT BE, CHRISTIAN AND KINGDOM STEWARDSHIP MUST BE OUR FULL TIME BUSINESS.
Shall we lift up our hands to God this morning and glorify his name. Thank Him and bless Him for these amazing testimonies. He alone is the Doer. He’s worthy of our praise. Are you thanking the Lord? Don’t just mutter words, you can lift up your hands, let’s bless His name today. He’s faithful, He’s worthy! Glorify Him! This morning also thank God for hearing you, for answering your prayers, corporate prayers, personal prayers and ask the Lord to speak to you by His word to change our story again. Father we thank You, we give You all the glory again in Jesus mighty name we have given thanks.
Father we thank You for this amazing day. We thank You for the these testimonies, we pray that these testimonies shall be permanent. Again this morning speak to us by Your word. Transform our lives again. Help us to be hearers and doers and let Your name be glorified, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
That amen can be louder. Please be seated and put your hands together for the Lord.
Praise the Lord I’m more than a conqueror.

This week on our Covenant Hour of Prayer, the subject we are looking at is captioned, ENGAGING BIBLICAL MENTALITY IN STEWARDSHIP.
Say with me, MENTALITY. Louder yet, MENTALITY. Church Gist. We were told yesterday among other things very importantly, that Destiny answers largely to Mentality.
Destiny answers largely to Mentality.
And let’s remind ourselves of the fact that man is made up of three aspects: Spirit, Soul and Body.
Man is essentially a SPIRIT. Church Gist. He has or possesses a SOUL and lives in a house called a BODY.
This 3 aspects of life of man are very crucial in enhancing our stewardship. However, we are looking at the Mind aspect of man. Church Gist. The Mentality that you and I must possess as we serve God in this our life’s journey.
This mentality that we possess as we serve God is very crucial. Philemon 1:14, the Bible tells us clearly that without thy mind will I, God do nothing. Without thy mind, the will I do nothing. Church Gist. So if we must make impact on our stewardship endeavors, our mind must be completely monitored, tailored and disciplined.
Romans 12: 1,2. For the mind to be transformed, the Word of God is a requirement. Therefore, we must ensure that we have a good grip on our mentality so that we cannot miss our reward.
Prayer – None of us will make or record losses in our Kingdom Stewardship! Can I hear a louder amen?
And this morning, we are considering what kind of mentality are we supposed to possess as we serve God?
We must possess an INVESTOR’S MENTALITY.
Say it with me, INVESTOR. Church Gist.
As we serve God on whatever platform, let’s do it as an Investor.
Who is an Investor? Simple. An investor, is someone who commits capital, not remnant, into an enterprise in order to gain returns. Church Gist. You commit capital in an enterprise in order to gain returns.
As we serve God, no more losses!
The Bible which is the Word of God clearly recognizes Kingdom Stewardship as business. It is business! Luke 2:49.
So Kingdom Stewardship is spiritual business. Romans 12:11.
Say with me, I shall be fervent. Say it again, I shall be fervent!
God’s servant has shared with us many years ago how that he was in school, based on how he was serving God, one of his lecturers looked at him and said, “David, if you want to be a student, be a student. If you want to be a Christian, be a Christian.” Can you remember his response?
He said to his lecturer, “I am a full time Christian and a part time student.” And today see what God is making of a full time Christian and a part time student. Church Gist. Whatever your endeavors in life might be, Christian and Kingdom Stewardship must be our full time business. Say it with me, say Full time!
Prayer- Grace to be able to serve God full time from the season forward, receive it like never before!
Say, I receive it. Say it with me, Full time! I’m going all out full time! Say a believing amen! The grace to be able to do so, I see God release upon all of us afresh today in Jesus mighty name! Can I hear a louder amen!
Very importantly, this is why every input in spiritual stewardship is an investment. Church Gist. It is an investment. Matthew 6:6. Matthew 6:17.
So whether you are praying in public, personal prayer, do it as someone who is making investment. Not casual. Do it as an investor. Church Gist. If you are going out for soul-winning, do it as business, expecting returns from it. Church Gist. When you are fasting, do it as business. Because as we do it like that, we shall be doing so as investors. And no investor looses out from this season again! Can I hear a louder amen?
So, every input in our spiritual stewardship is an investment. None of us shall record losses in Jesus name!
Very importantly also, let’s remember that a dividend consciousness empowers our commitment to tireless engagement. Galatians 6:7,8. I love what the Scripture says here: Dont be deceived because it’s possible to be deceived. Oh, I’ve been doing this all this while, when will my returns come? Oh, this person started after me, see what he/she is getting.
1 Corinthians 9:10.
Therefore, lets have this mentality of our dividend consciousness, that every investment in the Kingdom of God attracts heavens dividend. And you know God’s dividend doesn’t come only in cash. It doesn’t come only in Naira or Pounds or Dollars. It comes in the things and forms of things that money cannot buy. Praise the Lord!
Remember the two testimonies that we heard this morning? Barrenness terminated. Can you buy fruitfulness with money? No. And of course, glaucoma terminated. You can go to the hospital, doctors care but they all agree only God can heal and cure. Praise the Lord. Church Gist. So things that money cannot buy, they are the things that God gives to us as dividends.
Prayer- From today, as you keep investing in the Kingdom of God with this mentality of an investor, none of us will miss our dividends any longer!
So, look out for your dividends because it’s coming. Say with me, it’s coming. Say it like you believe it, the loudest you can. Please tell your neighbor, it is coming! Shout a loud amen!
Therefore, God’s servant has told us over and again, in conclusion this morning, I am not wasting my time praying, going out for soul winning. I am investing my time in promoting the Kingdom of God and I am investing it into my future. I am not wasting my time! I am investing my time! My dividends are on the way coming!
Say with me, I am not wasting my time, I am investing my time and my dividends are on the way coming!
Shout a loud amen!
You shall not miss your dividends in Jesus name! And no more losses!
In conclusion therefore, investor’s mentality can be summarized as a PLC.
P stands for Planning.
L stands for Learning.
C stands for Consistency.
Planning, learning and consistency. Investor’s mentality PLC. Planning, learning, consistency.
None of us will give up on the way! Grace to continue to plan, and grace to continue to learn and grace to remain consistent until the end of time becomes our portion today! Say with me, I receive it! Planning, Learning, Consistency.
I shall not give up! I will make it to the end!
