Bishop David Abioye while preaching at Living in Super Abundance First Sunday Service emphasized the reason why God doesn’t want us to be poor. He stated that poverty takes away an individual’s freedom.
He said, “Why God does not want you to be poor is to free you from slavery, to free you and I from slavery. Proverbs 22:7. Poverty can make a mess of your anointing, because you have to beg to eat and the borrower is a servant to the lender. So, that’s why a borrower conducts himself very carefully in the face of the lender.” He further went on to say “You see, there is a way money enhances human dignity. People who rule our world today do so with substance. They are the employees of labor and you can’t confront your employer. This has led even to the backsliding of many believers, especially those who are weak in the faith.”
