This morning, we will be looking at the PRINCIPLES OF DIVINE FAVOUR, we are going to anoint you, let your oil be in place as we are going to anoint your offices, business places, houses and everything that pertains to you. Church Gist. And I see God causing favour to rest in those places!
Psalm 44:1.
-If you have ever seen favour before, God will replay it this week!
Papa, how will they favour me as everything is turning apart in the country? That is when you need favour! It must happen! If you have to fight all your battles then you are not favoured. Sometimes, favour will make you win without fighting! Failure is the result of lack of favour! Church Gist. All your success in life and destiny should not come from your effort. Effort, education, stress, pressure and skill is good but favour is better! There must be a favour factor in the journey of life!
I was to do something last week and I told the person that it was a cheap item and the person billed me so high and I asked, ‘How much’? Church Gist. Then I left it. And then I remembered that I have somebody who can do it and I called the person, he said, ‘It is not expensive, I will buy and fix it for you’! I asked how much will I give you? He said, ‘No! I will take care of it! But another person on the other hand is saying, ‘This is the last price that I will charge’! And he is saying, ‘I will fix it’!
-May you meet people that will show you favour!
So there must be a favour factor. Favour is real and God is the author of favour and God is your Father! If He is the author of favour and your Father, then they should favour you! They may not like you but once God favours you, they will not have a choice but to accept you! In fact, you may not be their choice but you are their only chance to make a choice! Church Gist. David was not the choice of his father, when they say bring all your children, he assembled all of them with broad chest, good height and the one that looks like a king. And one after the other, they were rejected!
Some of you were from that kind of family, your mother and friends didn’t choose you but favor chose you. And can I tell you something? Get ready for the biggest envy that you will begin to experience because I have never seen anybody that is favoured that is not envied, get ready oo. Church Gist. What is happening now, go and get ready to survive gossip- They will talk and mock you but the truth is that what they are mocking you for is their prayer point. That’s the problem with the black man, he has a way of mocking his answers to prayer! You see somebody’s life whose life is the blueprint of your prayer and expectation but you won’t connect!
If they like, let them reject you but the family will not produce a king. Then Samuel said, ‘Are these all your children? He said, ‘Yes, the only one that is not here, his head is not correct and he doesn’t look like what you are looking for! Church Gist. E no go school so we pushed him to the bush to go and take care of sheep, his name is David’! He said, ‘What? We won’t sit down, go and get him! They were all his elders yet they stood up at the command of Samuel!
-Favour will ensure that they stand up until you come!
As David came, he said, ‘This is he, the one at the backside taking care of sheep! The one nobody reckons with!
-I pray for you this day, the same way God located David by favour, favour will locate you this week!
-I speak to a family here, David is coming! You may be the celebrant that is not at the point of celebration! Church Gist. For the next celebration coming, you are the celebrant oo. You may not be experienced, favour will locate you! No helper, skill and education but favour will locate you!
Who recommended David? Nobody! When God wants to do it, He doesn’t need anybody to speak on your behalf. Church Gist. Favour is a voice on its own.
-This morning as I declare, as God favours Nigeria this weekend, God will favour you!
He was 17 years old but favour located him! Your age is not the problem. I prayed for somebody in Thursday’s Deliverance Service. The prayer was ‘It is too late to have it’. Church Gist. The demon in charge of that person’s case said, ‘Leave her because it is too late for her to have anything in this life’!
-I don’t know whether they said that it’s too late, favour will make it happen for you. When favour appears, you are not too young or old. Anytime that favour comes is the best age to have it!
-Favour is coming for you!
Mary was not the only virgin in Israel but favour located her! Favour will locate you. Favour can make you wealthy in one day.
-May you be wealthy in one day!
You don’t need to work out for everything, favour can work some things out for you. So therefore from today, marry by favour! Get that job, travel abroad, enter that new level, pay that bill and achieve that feat by favour! I wear you a new garment of favour and an aroma and symbol of favour! Let it follow you in the morning, afternoon, evening and all times! In fact your new name is Favour!
You must understand that favour is provoked, it is not free of charge. Get ready because as I anoint you, a new favour will come upon you!
How do I provoke favour?
1. New birth (Be born again)
Psalms 5:12. You are born again not to suffer, shrink and stagnate again but to shine again. Being born again is a plus and not a minus because redemption is not reduction. Church Gist. Redemption is an opportunity for you to live a Supernatural life. There is no sinner that I envy- Let them show me what they have by committing sin and let us also show them what we have by following this God.
Don’t be afraid to be born again! You may say, ‘If I serve God, I may not get what I want’! Folorunsho Alakija is a Nigeria Pastor, the richest woman in Africa. They do fellowship in her house every Sunday morning, there is a fellowship that goes on every week in her house. Church Gist. In fact she is even the founder of that fellowship- google it! I have a friend who goes to her house for that fellowship on a weekly basis! Sometimes he can miss his Church Service but not that fellowship because of what is in the ‘ship’.
-May you become relevant that people cannot do without you!
That woman (Folorunsho Alakija) is born again and she is great. Greatness is not outside Salvation, in fact one of the benefits of being saved is that you are to be great. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Jesus were great. ‘And as He is, so are we’! Church Gist. We are also supposed to be great! So don’t be afraid of being born again! If a man is in Christ, he is a new creature! All the old things have passed away including bad luck. If your own Salvation has resulted in slavery, then go and be ‘born again’ again and again! The one you got is the wrong one! The real Salvation is a call to royalty and dignity!
2. Grow in knowledge Proverb 13:15.
The Bible said that a good understanding bringeth favour. 2 Peter 1:2, your level of knowledge determines your level of favour! Grace talks about favour and favour can multiply by knowledge! Your knowledge level is your favour level! What you don’t know is your master! Church Gist. Get developed so that you don’t get enveloped in this developing world. I read everything about everything because I talk to different people in my audience! So whoever you are and whatever you read, as I am talking I am meeting your needs! I don’t just read the Bible, I have listened to the news this morning.
As a Pastor who is to preach, I have worshipped and praised God, I have studied and prepared my Message and stayed in God’s Presence. And then as I came out from 3:00 am to 5:36 am, I quickly checked the Channels News to know what was happening! Church Gist. No knowledge is wasted! Knowledge is what gives you an edge over others! It is derived from two words, ‘Know’ and ‘Edge’. If you know better, you live better! So what you don’t know is your master! Go for knowledge!
Somebody repaired a machine that was packed up! They called several people and they couldn’t repair it until they called this person that carried the favour and knowledge. And then, he said, ‘Everybody, go out’! And they all went out! He locked the door and began to fix it and the thing started working! And he gave them his bills in millions! Church Gist. And they said, ‘You only stayed there for five minutes and he said, ‘That five minutes is as a result of what I know that you don’t know’! He said, ‘Okay! Let me go and reprogram it the way that I met it and they began to negotiate the price with him!
People will pay you if you know what they don’t know! Your problem is not demon oo, ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge’! Demons have always been there from time immemorial, in the days of Jesus, there were demons! After you go, there will still be demons! Anywhere you see refuse dump sites demons are around, they stay in dirty places! Church Gist. As long as we still have refuse dump sites, demons exist! Even if demons know what demons should know, God will answer the prayer of demons! A demon prayed to Jesus Christ, ‘Don’t cast us away, send us to the swine’! And Jesus answered his prayer. If Jesus can answer the prayer of demons, are you not better than demons? This should give someone a Light to know that, ‘I’m better than demons and so my prayers should be answered’!
-I declare over you, your prayers shall be answered!
3. Be a Kingdom promoter
If what moves God doesn’t move you, what moves you won’t move God! Psalms 102:13-14. Be a Kingdom promoter, sowing to evangelism, Kingdom projects and so on. Anything that you see that is not working in God’s House, put it in place- It is a key to favour otherwise if what moves God doesn’t move you, what moves you can never move God.
4. Be a diligent worker Psalms 1:1
Idleness is a blocker of favour! In fact idleness is a roadblock to favour! Never stay idle as a child of God! Don’t stay idle and expect favour! Do something! If nobody employs you, employ yourself! For eighteen years that I have been married, my wife has not fed me free for the first day. Church Gist. I see some useless men in Warri, you are keeping malice with your wife that she did not provide for you. Your wife is not your provider, you are the provider! At best she is your supporter, your wife is not created to sustain, she supports you as you sustain the house.
But you see what we see in this part of the world? The woman has become the sustainer instead of the supporter. Some of us have even survived without a support- We forbid it! My wife knows that I cannot eat what I don’t know the source. I forbid it as a Christian and as an Isha (Benin tribe) man. The day you will go and sleep outside and cook, I won’t know- You need to tell me how you got it- Either you work, sell something or your family gave it to you. Church Gist. Some men are very foolish in this town, irresponsible men! Somebody toasted your wife and gave her money to cook and you still ate it? You are a fool! You go get convulsion and die. Sit up as a man, go and work!
All the free food is the reason why you are losing your respect freely! You are dying gradually freely! Do something! For eighteen years, I have never shared school fees. What are you saying? My definition of marriage is responsible living and I stay within that definition. I may not be very romantic but I am very responsible. Church Gist. All those romantic men without money, you are wasting your time, it doesn’t work that way. There is no romance without finance! Any romance (Romans) without finance will not end in Corinthians.
Romans will lead to Corinthians and Corinthians to Galatians then to Revelation, but yours will just begin and end in the Book of Romans (Romance). It doesn’t work that way! Anywhere there is romance without finance, it is the Book of Romans and one day the woman go tire to dey read am. Church Gist. I’m not saying that you should not be romantic oo but get money as you want to be romantic! ‘Eh! The children’s school fees? ‘I love you’. Has it been paid? The rent has expired! ‘Baby girl, I love you’! Has it been paid? Love does not pay bills, responsibilities pay bills! That’s why most men no dey come this Church, dem dey vex. There is no time that we are going to redefine Bible because of your stupidity! He who cannot take care of his house is worse than an infidel’!
And my daughter, it’s better to stay unmarried than to marry problem and irresponsibility! Everything that you do is by yourself, what is the man doing? If the man doesn’t have money, we understand oo, if he used to have and some things happened and he no longer have, we understand. If he doesn’t have it up to you, we understand- The woman dey earn three hundred thousand naira, the man dey earn fifty thousand naira but say he no come get at all? Church Gist. We don’t understand it and we refuse to understand that! But a good man, with your fifty thousand naira, you should act in a way that three hundred thousand naira will feel at home and say with fifty thousand naira you did this? Take my three hundred thousand naira anyhow you wan spend am, take! But some men will have their fifty thousand naira and be putting their eyes in the three hundred thousand naira. Yeye man!
It’s better to stay unmarried than to marry ‘accident’! Have you seen any successful accidents? Some marriages are an accident! ‘Ah! There was an accident there but it was a successful one, only the windscreen broke’! Somebody wants to marry you and he said that he is not working, let me marry by faith! You don’t marry by faith, you marry by work! God gave Adam work before he brought Eve to Adam! Any Adam that looked for Eve without work is ‘Adamu’- He is a useless Adam. Church Gist. And in those days of sharp-sharp marriage when we started Answers Assembly, we made many mistakes- Some men married in this Church, they no get work! I no even know how I take wed them. In fact the answer to the prayer was more than the problem! We fell in love with the answer but forgot the question! By Monday morning they are already quarrelling!
No matter how a woman claims to love you, if you are jobless eh, the love go hook! In fact it is easier to live with a yeye man that pays bills than a born again who is stranded! He said that he is an Evangelist , okay! Church Gist. Which soul have you won? All the Evangelist in the Bible won souls that became members of their Church and through the souls, they paid bills. Who have you raised? Man of God for mouth? Men have taken the whole Message! Celebrate all the men in Warri nobi only Answers Assembly.
Papa are you saying that my wife should divorce me now that I am jobless? No! We go check your history! If you don’t have now and when you used to have you were performing, it’s a different thing! Any woman who leaves you because you don’t have money now is not a wife, in fact look for where dem dey do juju use the wife do juju! Any woman wey you pay her bill, buy car, land, give money to start business and make her look like a queen and because you come broke for one month, she come dey give you attitude, dey carry face, find where dem dey do juju, tell them say na your wife you love pass and offer her as a sacrifice and use the money to take care of the children! You must balance it! Church Gist. If a man has performed well, that is when you should pray for him, ‘Father, restore my husband’! But we are talking about the man that from Genesis to Revelation, he has never done anything! When will the Bible work? Have I balanced it?
5. Walk in excellence Daniel 1:20, Daniel 6:3
Be a person of excellence! You see a fine building and a building that is not fine, it is not the building that is the problem but the builder- it is the same cement, sharp sand and granite! Excellence is doing common things in an uncommon ways! Let your office be neat and clean including your office environment and workers! Church Gist. Put everything in their right perspective! Be a person of excellence! Infact nobody Excel without an Excellent Spirit, if you cannot do it excellently, don’t even do it at all, you will end up mediocre! We have too many mediocrities that are supposed to be excellent in what they do!
6. Possess godly character Daniel 1:8-9
The world is in need of men and women of character! There is a scarcity of men and women of character! Your character is your come-after! What comes after you is the character that you go with on a daily basis! Character will bring you into favour! Character is so vital that even a thief is looking for someone who is not a thief to manage his money! Church Gist. They steal Nigeria money and that of the citizens but they will look for somebody with enough character to manage it for them! Even a thief needs somebody with character!
Okay you that is here, the small money that you have stolen at your small level will you give somebody that will steal it? Even thief de manage em money! Somebody saw two million dollars in the account of a former governor and that governor was the richest in Nigeria at that time! Then this account officer reached out to that governor and informed him! Church Gist. The man said, ‘I can’t even remember’! You can’t believe the story now because at your level you remember all the hundred naira, two hundred naira and five hundred naira.
-But I pray for you today, may God take you to the level where one million naira will be in one account and you won’t know that such money is there!
I brought out my cash and I discovered that it wasn’t up to forty five thousand naira, there was no thief in my house so I concluded that I didn’t count it well. It’s a level oo. In some families, there will still be crises right now! But some of you will create problems and call family meetings and swear- ‘I’m sure of myself, I’ve never counted money wrongly since I was born’! It’s because there are no leftovers. Church Gist. When there is a reserve, you will respond like I responded, ‘There is no thief here’! What if it is somebody that took it, the person is saying, ‘I won’! Continue to ‘won’ one day you go thief outside and you will discover that you lost!
The former governor told the accountant, ‘Send this amount to this account and you take this one’! As soon as the man got the money, he resigned from the bank because the money was enough to start his entire generation afresh! Imagine if he tried to swindle the two million naira from the bank! Church Gist. They will catch him but godly character made him open up to the owner and what the owner gave him, there is no way he can get all of that in his entire life as a banker!
That person that you are working with? It’s not the salary that they are paying you that is the issue, it is the favour that person can show you in the years to come! Church Gist. Anywhere that you find yourself, work well, behave well and act well because at the end of the day, your next level is tied to the rating and appraisal of your current boss.
7. Be a problem solver Daniel 2:12-16
The more problems you solve, the more favour you enjoy. Daniel was to be killed but after solving that problem, he was promoted, favoured and prospered in the same place they were supposed to be killed! Church Gist. Be a problem solver! You are either part of the problem or the solution to the problem anywhere that you find yourself! Nobody wants to lose a problem solver and nobody wants to keep a problem giver!
8. Respect and honour your boss
You won’t agree because you are not yet a boss, but the day that you will become a Chief Executive Officer, you will understand the reason for all of the rules, regulations and policies that they make. Somebody said in his WhatsApp status yesterday and I said, ‘This one na mumu, em never learn anything! He said, ‘Never tell anybody that I will sack you, when you open a company’! Church Gist. Come and say it when you open your own! You think that you will die as an employee? So most of the philosophy we propound is at our level of employee! When you become an employer of labour, you will understand how to talk and when you should talk! When you grow, then come back and make that statement!
How can you be having a problem with your boss and you are praying for promotion? All the prayers of divine lifting that you are praying for, it’s your boss that will answer it! Church Gist. Mike Murdock said, ‘If you can assure your boss that you will never repeat any instructions more than once, your promotion will know no end! But when he said, ‘I don’t want this thing to be here and in the coming day, it is here, you are finished’!
So always ask yourself, can I assure my madam that she will never repeat any instructions to me more than once! And you keep at it! Any time they are thinking of lifting, your name must come to their mind! Church Gist. But if you are always acting contrary to expectation, you are on your way out of that system! No matter how familiar your boss has become, never forget that you were employed and he can fire you! Never get carried away!
9. Sow seed of favour Matthew 5:7
Anything that you have not gotten is what you have not given, anything you have not reaped is what you have not sown Galatians 6:7. If you sow money, you reap money! You sow favour you reap favour! You want mercy and harvest, who have you shown one?
10. Be grateful to God for the little favour you see at your little level Malachi 2:1.
Be grateful for your cup of water, then you are on your way for the bucket of water! Be grateful for the bucket of water, you are on your way for the gallon of water and when you are grateful for that gallon of water you are on your way to a river of water! Church Gist. Be grateful for that river of water and you are on your way to the ocean of water! Be grateful for that ocean of water then you are on your way to an open Heaven of favour! It will be a deluge of favour!
If you don’t know how to say, ‘Thank you’, you will never be favoured in this life. Sometimes, I celebrate people even beyond what they do, not because I can’t do without what they do. Appreciation is an application for more! There is nobody that you tell, ‘Thank you that will not think of how to do better and more but you continue to complain! I know that he is your helper but never become a burden to your helper or become ungrateful to him! Never function in such a way that your helper will see a seed of ingratitude in your life! It kills the Spirit of helping you instead of the little they can do, be ever grateful!
-And I see these ten provokers of favour answer for you in the Name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost!
Somebody said, ‘Papa, you have moved to your house and my family have not even done anything! Take this seventy thousand naira and buy anything that you can buy! How many of you are aware that I have stood on this altar to appreciate him close to four times! Another person will say, ‘What is seventy thousand naira for a duplex?’ Continue! I saw a bucket in our tank yesterday, very empty and when I came back yesterday, it was filled! It was dropping like a drop of tear- That might be your level of favour, be grateful to God, e go full one day! It’s a matter of time! I was surprised, this thing looked like it was not dropping oo but by evening it was filled already and pouring away! Appreciate God for that little little drop and you will be qualified for the deluge that is coming!
