Lord Jesus! Thank You again! For the privilege of being in this last Spiritual Week of Emphasis for the year. Let each one receive the last day order of Blessings! And move us forward in our walk with You!
Thank You, Lord Jesus! We are all seated at Your Feet tonight! Church Gist. Speak to us by Your Word! And advance our course in Jesus Precious Name!
Our Prophetic focus for the month as declared on Sunday, is ‘SANCTIFICATION SECURES DESTINY AND ETERNITY’. Double barrel blessing! It secures life in the now plus the life hereafter!
1 Timothy 4:8.
Sanctification, which is also defined as Godliness, secures destiny and eternity! So, it enhances access to our inheritance for easy redemption Acts 20:32. And what is it worth? Church Gist. It is in giving us all things. Our inheritance in Christ covers all areas of life, and then secures eternity in a grand style 1 Peter 1:3.
Our teaching series for the midweek for this month is captioned ‘PUTTING UP A FIGHT AGAINST THE FORCES OF UNGODLINESS’.
Heaven is the homecoming of overcomers not wishers! “He that overcometh!!!”- That was the Message to the seven Churches in Asia. Church Gist. Not he that is in argument! We must overcome the forces of ungodliness to make it to the end!
1 Timothy 6:11 and 12 is our anchor Scripture for this teaching series. Fight the good fight of Faith! Don’t wish to have it happen!- Put up a fight if you must lay hold of eternal life! We are saved to make Heaven but we are to put up a fight against the forces that are there to make it impossible! Church Gist. Only fighters become overcomers, not spectators!
The battle against sin is the fierce asset of all Spiritual battles in a believer’s life, yet many may not be aware of that! Hebrews 12:4. When we lose the battle to sin, we lose the battle of life! Adam ate the forbidden fruit and that was it! Church Gist. From the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence and the violence taketh it by force! Matthew 11:12. We must put up a fight, or we are floored! The reason is the battle against sin is a battle against satanic stronghold!
He tricked Adam out of the Garden of Eden, he is still tricking many today! Ephesians 6:10. He is never repentant! 2 Corinthians 11:3. And satan wins these battles by his tricks and devices. He is all out against our obedience! 2 Corinthians 10:4-6.
Principalities and powers are against our obedience. They say, ‘ Has God said that you should not eat all the fruits of the Garden?’- That’s what God Himself eats when He comes here in the evening! He is out to challenge our obedience to The Truth! That’s too simple to be true, ‘God is too loving to cast anybody to hell’, He said that He will not destroy the world anymore like He said! No! Church Gist. What you do does not matter! You are just saved! They are moving gradually to the point where they will say that there is no Heaven!
If you are not rooted in the Truth sir, you will just get floored! Someday, at the gate of Heaven, there is no argument- To the left and to the right hand side!- not an excuse! Refuse to be deceived!
In this series, God will help us to discover ourselves and know what to do for a bail out, in the Name of Jesus!
In this war, you must put up a fight! Church Gist. You don’t wait to win it to be victorious! There are forces behind the scene that enforces sin on believers! So in this series we shall be looking at quite a number of them.
Identify evil spirits behind sin! Church Gist. 2 Thessalonians 2:7. It is deception that leads to destruction! The first that we saw here is, ‘unclean spirit’- The spirit behind all defilement. He gave them power against in clean spirit, to cast them out! Matthew 10:1.
We saw this unclean spirit manifested in the story of Zechariah. Zechariah 3:3-5, talking about Joshua, the high priest. He is a genuine person, a genuine individual but captured by the spirit of filthiness!
-Prayer: In the Precious Name of Jesus, every assault of unclean spirit against anyone and everyone under the sound of my voice today, is cast out of such lives! Amen! Church Gist. Unclean spirit! Lose your grip off the lives and destinies of God’s people! In the Name of Jesus! Amen!
We are not to pray against them, we are to cast them out! Unclean spirits are looking for where to penetrate, where to reside and looking for who to capture! Matthew 12:43-45. Church Gist. We must be aware of Spiritual emptiness, it opens the door to unclean spirits!
Number 2 of those evil spirits behind sin is ‘seducing spirits and doctrine of devils’. There are teachings today that water down redemption to mere assumptions. ‘What you do doesn’t matter, do whatever you do, it doesn’t matter- Nobody is perfect! Let’s just go on’. Church Gist. Iniquity has abounded, the love of many has waxed cold! Doctrines of devils!
If you allow them, they will remove portions of the Scripture to justify their argument. Church Gist. Expressly assuming that there are no dark places there! This will happen in the Endtime- seducing spirits and doctrines of the devils! 1 Timothy 4:1 and 2.
The days of great visions are also days of great delusions 2 Thessalonians 2:11. The way out is to be rooted and grounded in The Truth! Church Gist. Romans 1:28, 30-31. Those are Endtime issues that must be confronted for those who do not want to be conquered. As they would not want to retain God in their knowledge, they heap up all kinds of translations.

As they will not want to retain God in their knowledge, they heap up all kinds of translations. In the original Hebrew, in the original Greek, we didn’t know that to get saved. I have never learnt one word of Greek and I may not learn till I go to heaven. God is not Greek, God is not Hebrew, God is God. Church Gist. For example, the doctrine of “it does not matter what we do, we shall make heaven because of the price Jesus paid”. Maybe it is another heaven, not the Bible heaven. They should know that those who stay in those things are worthy of death, not worthy of life. Help me Jesus not to be carried away by the evil wave of these days. Help me to stay true to the truth until the end. The judgement of the end is real, I don’t want to be a victim. So help me, Jesus.
Today many are being carried away with diverse doctrines that have not profited them that feed on such. Hebrews 13:9. God’s Word, His doctrine and principles are meant for our profiting. 2 Timothy 3:16-17. All scripture is profitable. So when you hold on to a doctrine that does not add value to your life. Spiritual value first and then every other player that makes living great. All things that make for life and godliness are what this book adds to people. So when what you are carrying about does not add to your spiritual life and does not add to your life in the now, be careful It is not the Word. Hebrews 4:2. So the Word is preached to profit us spiritually, physically, you can’t be born again and feel good with evil. No! You can’t lie and still be comfortable. You live under pressure when you live in deception. Is that value added or value eroded?
Now let’s look at biblical steps towards living a sanctified life.
- There must be a purpose of the heart to live a sanctified life.
Daniel 1:8. Purpose simply means here you make a choice. Deuteronomy 30:19. The first step is a choice to live a sanctified life. How much knowledge we have of the cost of unsanctification will enhance the strength of our choice for it. That purpose carried Daniel through up until Daniel 6:4. They could not find any fault. The journey began with a purpose of heart. Our choice is stronger than all the devils in hell. Church Gist. Choose life that thou and thy seed may live. That means your choice is stronger than any opposition under heaven. Lord help me to always choose right at all times from within me, not just to impress people. Matthew 5:6. A genuine hunger and thirst for righteousness will get anybody filled with it.
- To flee from the traps of sin.
Joseph fled to fulfil his glorious destiny. Genesis 39:7-12. 2 Timothy 2:22. 1 Corinthians 6:18. When God says flee, don’t pray. Flee! When God says flee, don’t fast. Flee. This is the Great Physician’s prescription. If they say take two in the morning and two in the night and you decide to take all at the same time or you take only one per day. It won’t deliver its effect. There are prescriptions that keep us both in the now and hereafter. We must take spiritual responsibility in dealing with these evil spirits. We must take spiritual responsibility or we end up as liabilities. Church Gist. How?
- Through prayers. Watch and pray that you fall not into temptations. Matthew 26:21.
- Through fasting. Is this not my purpose for prescribing fasting? That you destroy every yoke. Isaiah 58:6. Matthew 17:19-21. We are on a fast as our custom is this Wednesday to Friday. Anybody can deal with any unwanted issue in his life and they have no choice but to bow. With faith, prayer and fasting you crush the devil under your feet.
Our prayer is very simple if you understand this. 1 Thessalonians 4:3. 1 John 5:15. His will is our sanctification. When we pray for sanctification, we secure God’s attention and intervention. If we know that He hears us then we know that we have the petitions we desired of Him. Church Gist. Sanctify me Jesus by your Spirit, purge me by your blood. 1 Corinthians 6:11. So engage those forces. In the name of Jesus, I am free from this trap, free from this torment from today. You engage the blood to shut the door against the devil.
Repentance is our lifeline from the world of sin and unrighteousness. Genuine repentance is the mystery of godliness that rescues believers from the dungeon of sin. Ezekiel 18:20-24. Repentance offers this open platform for restoration. Now caution! It is an open platform for restoration for those who want to embrace it and a platform for destruction for those who despise it. Proverbs 28:13. The mercy of God is awaiting every genuinely repentant soul. The mercy of God is ever available to every genuinely repentant soul.
Now, what are we repenting of? So we can be specific about it. We are repenting of everything that disqualifies a believer to make heaven. What are they? 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. These are the prerequisites. They must become past tense to cross over. What are we repenting of? Things that disqualify a believer from making heaven. We must see them as stated in scripture and forcefully turn our back on them. Church Gist. Revelation 21:5-7. We are called to turn our back on the things that disqualify a believer from heaven. Matthew 7:21-23. He that doeth, not argueth not he that preacheth, the will of my Father. When you were on my side I was working through you, when you turned your back on me, I turned my back on you.
I can’t make it there on my terms, I can only make it there on His terms. How many believe that there is heaven? How many believe that heaven is real? How many truly want to make it? Lift your hands and ask God for mercy in every area you may be messing up.
Prayers: Lord Jesus have mercy, I don’t want to end my journey in regret. Have mercy on me, Jesus. Have mercy on me Jesus to stay true to you till the end. Whatever you don’t want to see, say it to God He is your Father.
A sense of having arrived is the workings of the enemy.
If we are desperate for sanctification, the same way we are desperate for healing. There will be triumphant exploits. If we are desperate about godliness, the same way we are desperate about breakthroughs in life, we will walk out on the devil without a scratch. It is all a choice of the heart. No one here will miss his step. Church Gist. Everyone under the sound of my voice around the world among the nations of the earth who believe in the validity of sanctification will walk out of every captivity this month and it starts tonight.
No one knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man and no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
Prayers: Lord, I am desperate to experience your rescuing power from every unwanted issue in my life.
May the grace to escape all the diverse doctrines of devils flying around the world today be granted to each of us.
May you never trash the truth you have operated with that has added value to your life by any schemings of the devil.
I pray that everyone’s focus on the end result which is heaven will remain intact. I pray that our desperation for heaven will empower us to make right choices at all times. Right choices only in the name of Jesus.
Lift your hand and thank God for what this month is packaged for in your life and my life.
Again I recommend that you go through the recommended books for the month. Don’t approach an exam without getting equipped. No matter how intelligent that individual may be, he will flop. I pray that desperation will be translated to practical action, you won’t be wishing it. You will be searching for it, engaging with it until your testimony becomes full-scale.
