IF THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT ARE NOT PRESENT, THEY ARE NOT PRESENT.

Preaching at the Opening Night of the Annual Youth Alive Convention (AYAC) 2025, Bishop David Oyedepo mentioned that people who are saved don’t wish others evil. He also encouraged the congregation to cultivate and grow the fruits of the Spirit in their lives.
He said: “When you talk about goodness, it means goodwill towards all men. What is it? Goodwill towards all men. You are not wishing evil for somebody. Somebody is breaking through, you’re excited, somebody is missing it, you’re concerned. Church Gist. Goodwill and whatever good thing any man does, what happens? The same. Let your goodwill come alive. Saved people don’t wish evil.
And then discipline. Paul the Apostle said: “I bring my body under and bring it to subjection, self-discipline. All things are lawful for me, not all things are expedient. Self-discipline is part of the nature of redemption. That’s why even the world says: “And you say you are saved.” Even the world, the sinful world. Church Gist. How can you say you are born again? Which born again? Self-discipline comes along. You are not living anyhow, your life is guided. These are proofs of Salvation. Anyone can examine himself whether he’s in the faith or not. 2 Corinthians 13:5. The fruits of the Spirit are the fruits, they’re the proofs of Salvation. If they’re not there, they’re not there. And if you’re not there, you’re not there. They come down as seeds, then we cultivate them. We cultivate and begin to grow them.”
