You’re welcome into this first preservation service of the month of January of the year of 2023. You’re welcome in the precious name of Jesus. Church Gist. The God who preserved you to see the beginning of this year will preserve you, if Jesus tarries, to see the beginning of next year, in Jesus’ precious name.
Genesis 4:15. The Lord His Word. Speaking on the subject, “Sealed Preservation – Marked against Destruction”. We all know the story of Cain and Abel from Sunday school. Church Gist. Cain at the end of the day when he heard his judgement was very sorry and he appealed to God and God placed a mark on the forehead of Cain, in case any finding should not destroy him. So, He marked him for preservation, sealed him for preservation, marked him against destruction. Church Gist. If the God who judged him can spare him, it means the enemy is helpless against your life.
I want to say that God still places seals of preservation on people today. Psalm 105:12-15. God seals people for preservation and marks them against destruction. Church Gist. There are some of us seated here today, agents of darkness are so angry with you and you’re wondering, “why do they hate me like this?” For many reasons but I can tell you one of them. Many times they tried to kill you, but they couldn’t. They say, “despite everything we have done against this man, he’s still there? What could be his secret? We have tried other people going to Church too and we succeeded, why is this one’s case different?” They are unaware that your root is not their root. Church Gist. In the realm where you are not even aware, they see something you can’t see, so, it pains them. Have you ever come across people who look at you and then just turn away their face? Church Gist. There’s something they see, there’s a fire they see, there’s a mark they see, there’s a sign they see, there’s something that irritates and infuriates them that they see on your life. What we are here to do tonight is to re-emphasize that thing, it’s to activate that thing, it’s to intensify that thing, it’s to intensify your seal for preservation.

What is the Power of the Anointing to preserve you? What does the Anointing do to enhance preservation?
1. The Anointing communicates the presence of God and the presence of God establishes preservation of life. Acts 10:38 – God anointed, God was with Him. So, the Anointing establishes the presence of God with a man and what is the impact of that presence of God? Psalm 91:1-2. Church Gist. When the Anointing of God upon your life, the presence of God is around your life. When the presence of God is on your life, you’re under the shadow of the El-Shaddai, you’re untouchable, you’re unreachable. Is God speaking to someone here?
– I announce to somebody here today, by the Anointing that is coming upon your life today and by the presence of God that is coming upon your life, your preservation is confirmed in the name of Jesus!
2. The anointing establishes the presence of God and the presence of God frustrates both the presence and activity of evil. Church Gist. The Anointing of God establishes the presence of God, we saw that already but another thing that the presence of God is doing here now apart from directly bringing preservation, the presence of God frustrates both the presence and activity of evil. Church Gist. Where God is present, evil can’t be comfortable. Acts 10:38. When God is with a person, the same God is Light, evil is darkness. John 1:1-5. The presence of God steps in and the presence of evil steps out. The dog can only be playing where the Lion is not available. There’s a proverb in our place that says, ‘no matter how drowsy the dog is, sleep cannot worry it so tey he lays down on the bed of lion’, he will wake up in the stomach of the lion, that is suicide mission. I mean, it doesn’t matter how desperate the devil is, there’s an arena he cannot operate. Church Gist. I learnt that the Eastern shepherds, they run olive oil on the body of the sheep, Israeli and Jewish shepherds, they rub oil of the body of the sheep, that keeps away the flies. You know the god of flies is what they call Beelzebub, flies represent the presence of evil, the Anointing fends them off. Church Gist. That is why, what is going to come upon you tonight, every activity of witchcraft shall be far from your life. Every activity of the ritualists and occultists shall be far from your life, in the name of Jesus! They can function and operate but not where you are. They can function and operate but not where the Anointing is.

3. The Anointing establishes the rebuke of the Lord on the enemy. Church Gist. When the Anointing of the Lord is upon your life, there’s a rebuke on the enemy. Psalm 105:12-15. When the Anointing of God is upon your life, anywhere you pass, they’re hearing “touch not, clear off!” Witches, touch not, clear off, wizards, touch not, clear off!

When you’re anointed, everytime you pass, the Kingdom of darkness hears a rebuke, they hear something. Church Gist. If not so, many of us would have died since. If not that, many of us won’t be alive now because of the bitterness of many people, the wickedness of wicked people. They’re confused, “why is he/she still there?” There’s a rebuke. “You may hate him as much as you can but you can’t hurt him”. To any extent you want, hate me but you’re dead before you hurt me, you die before you hurt me. Psalm 112:1-10. Church Gist. When they hate you, they may threaten you but if you’re anointed, they can’t hate but they can’t harm you, not even in the dream. So, don’t fear their hatred because their hatred is harmless. Even though they hate you so much until if you put coconut in their heart, it can boil, it can cook, but it translates into nothing. Wasn’t there a big threat in the city last year? People shouldn’t go to Church, so much heavy threat, some even claimed that they were threatening themselves, not this Church. Church Gist. I’m sure some of you heard some things. Today they’re crying, the two groups are facing each other, finishing the other one, then soldiers are finishing them from up. They’re complaining, ah, they should have allowed them to finish the other people that they’re trying to finish these ones and they’re finishing them from up. You know this thing is ‘finishable’, it’s just that there are people in the system who don’t want it to finish but all of them will soon finish. God will finish them and wipe them out. So, when you’re Anointed, there’s a hanging perpetual injunction, no trespass, you can’t trespass this land, this is not a man to touch, this is not a woman to deal with. Psalm 105:14-15.
– I announce to you today, by the Anointing coming on your life tonight, every devil looking for you shall hear a rebuke! Over night, in your dream, they shall hear a rebuke. Shout the loudest Amen!
4. The anointing releases Supernatural Strength and Might to establish the defeat of the enemy Psalms 84:20-24. That anointing brings him strength such that the enemy cannot collect tax from him. The son of wickedness no matter how wicked will not afflict him. Church Gist. He is not ‘afflictable’ because he is too anointed to be afflicted. That’s a sticker title- Too anointed to be afflicted!
The enemy can only stand against you when he perceives that your strength is small. He looks for your trouble frequently. Fever today, headache tomorrow! The girl testified saying that today, she is eating in the dream and tomorrow she is naked and next tomorrow spiritual molestation. Church Gist. Then the other day, she is wandering in the desert not knowing the road to go.
Eh! For 25 years! She kept stepping into the river and bathed with people- All manner of witchcraft operations until she stepped into a ‘no flight zone’ for the devil and that was the end of that demonic flight- No trespassing! Church Gist. Don’t trespass in this life! Until those demons said, ‘You have gone to a Church and we cannot follow you there, we can’t even play with you anymore’!
I’d like you to get ready because the Strength of God is coming upon your life and you are about to see the defeat of your adversaries by the reason of the anointing! Not just in the month of January but in the year 2023, you shall see the strength of the Lord like never before! Shout the loudest Amen!
5. The anointing places the horn of authority on the head of the anointed for continuous victory Psalms 92:10. You know that the horn of the animal is not for play, it’s for authority. What worsens the case for the devil is that your senior brother is the Lion of the tribe of Judah and you the brother of a Lion is a Lion but now it is a lion with a horn. And some of those dangerous animals don’t usually have horns. Church Gist. They are dangerous enough without horns! Every fresh oil places a fresh horn of authority on the forehead to continuously maintain victory.
-My victory is confirmed by the horn of authority by the anointing!
6. The anointing, that is the unction activates divine direction and sensitivity and that averts destruction and calamity 1 John 2:20. The man that is anointed has sensitivity and direction. What does that do for you? Proverbs 22:3. Church Gist. The anointing causes you to foresee evil, it causes you to know that this is not the journey to go! The anointing sharpens your ‘Spiritometer’- Your Spiritual antenna is sharp, making you know what to do and what not to do! Where to go and where not to go! So there is more to the anointing than just putting the oil on the head!
7. Finally, the anointing releases the Spirit of the Lord which is the Spirit of wisdom which preserves life! 1 Samuel 6:13, Isaiah 11:2. The Spirit of the Lord is the Spirit of wisdom and what does wisdom do? Wisdom preserves life! Church Gist. Ecclesiastes 7:12. When the Spirit of the Lord is upon you, the Spirit of wisdom is upon you and when the Spirit of wisdom is upon you. When wisdom is upon you, it causes you to live and fulfill your days!
That was why Ecclesiastes 7:17 said, ‘Be not over much wicked, neither be that foolish, why should you die before your time? Foolishness makes people die before their time! Wisdom makes people fulfill their days! Church Gist. And the anointing releases the wisdom that makes you know what to do so you don’t die before you’re dead!
When Abner died, David cried! He said, ‘Abner, you died a fool’s death’! Your hands were not tied now? Joab was a man like yourself! Why? Because Joab deceived Abner! He said, ‘Come my brother’! As if he wanted to discuss something with him and he took him aside as if he wanted to whisper something to him and he thrust him through from the fifth rib. And Abner just fell down and died- Military General of Saul’s army killed like Chicken!
That is what is called the fool’s death! When someone who hates you and wants you dead on many occasions calls you for a private discussion, let all your antennae be open! And if possible let other people go with you for the meeting! Somebody wanted to kill you before you were aware! And he said, ‘Take a cup of water and drink! Tell him, I am not ready to drink now!
You will not die a fool’s death!
That led us to talk about the fool’s death! There is a way that a person dies and it is a fool’s death. Once I heard stories and I gave an account of things and I said, ‘That was a needless death’! A death that didn’t need to happen!
– You will not end like that!
The anointing of God that is coming upon your life tonight is going to give you the Spirit of wisdom and wisdom is going to cause you to fulfil your day!
Very quickly, What is the way of the anointing? So that you will know that the oil that is placed on our forehead is a point of contact to the anointing!
1. The Presence of God Zechariah 4:14. Please whatever you do, never lack God’s Presence! That feelable, palpable presence of God! Whatever that will make you lose and lack God’s Presence will make you lose the anointing! Church Gist. If we are to talk about what to do to get God’s Presence, it’s a whole Message for another day!- In the place of worship, a place of prayer, a place of death to self, humility and several things! But God’s Presence is your number one key to the anointing!
2. The way of prayer! Men of prayer are men of oil, women of prayer are women of oil! Show me a man who can pray or show me a woman who can pray, I’ll show you a man who carries the anointing Luke 3:21. While others were just ceremoniously getting baptized and doing the normal regular thing, he was praying! And as He prayed, the anointing landed upon Him!
The place of prayer is the place of the anointing! Thank God we are starting the 21 days fast from coming Monday. Do all you can to be immersed in it in order to secure the anointing for the year! The place of prayer! We saw that in Matthew 26:36. Gethsemane is translated as the ‘Press of oil- Oil press’! The place where you press out oil! And it was in that place that He went to pray! Church Gist. So the place of prayer is the place where people press out oil! If you want to press oil, pray! If you want the oil to answer, pray!
3. It is the way of uprightness Ecclesiastes 9:8. If your garment is white, your head will not lack oil! When life is filled with bitterness, filled with uncleanliness it must lack oil! The whiteness of the garment determines the pouring of the oil!
4. It’s the way of Kingdom Service Psalms 89:20. If God will find a servant, He will release His oil because the anointing is not for show, it’s not for fancy! They don’t give people gun as jewelry! He said, ‘I just got myself new jewelry’! Church Gist. He said, ‘What’s that? A General-Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), can’t you see the ammunition on my neck and the big gun? Don’t I look fine in this jewelry?
You carry it as jewelry and the enemy messes your life up! Both you and your gun! You carry it for war! How God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth and He went about doing what? Church Gist. He sat down? And He started moving about telling everybody, ‘Can’t you see how powerful I am?’ I am very anointed! Okay, show me something and I’ll show you something! For where?
God only anoints those who are ready to ‘went’! Pardon my English! He went to save the lost! He went to clear devil and went on Kingdom assignment! If you need the anointing, you must be ready for Kingdom work! Stand up on your feet!
That’s why all of us are not of the same level! Seven days of fasting and prayer! Fourteen days of fasting and prayer! I have never fasted for a personal need! Seven days because I’m looking for a house? For where? No! But seven days! For every afflicted person that steps into this Assembly, let them not go with any affliction! Church Gist. For every sinner in bondage, let the bondage be broken! Those trusting for fruits, let them receive their fruits! That’s the kind of fast that we do! Is this not the fast that I have chosen? To lose the pangs of wickedness! Isaiah 58:6. I’m I communicating?
I want you to bear this in mind! Somebody says, ‘God anoint me! And God said, Anoint you to do what? ‘God bless me’! Bless you to do what? He told Abraham, I’ll bless you and you shall be a blessing! That is I want to turn you into a channel not a container! When you say ‘God anoint me, God bless me’, He wants to find out, “what do you want to do with it?” Am I communicating?

This year, if you want that oil to be hot on your head, be in possession of tracts in your pockets, at every turn, be ready to preach in the taxi when necessary, be ready to preach in the bus when necessary. Church Gist. You visited your brother in the hospital, visit the next bed in the hospital and lead the person to Christ and pray for them, “can I agree with you? Let me trust God for your quick recovery from this hospital”. That is how to live and live in the oil.

Work in the sanctuary as a choir member, prayer band person, whatever assignment, work it under the Anointing and that Anointing will not only enable you to serve, that Anointing will make Him suffer no man to do you wrong. Church Gist. The same Anointing will cause Him to rebuke him for your sake, saying, “touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm”. I donated myself to Kingdom service, anybody looking for me is looking for death, looking for practical death. Only in Heaven we will know how many people died because of us, especially native doctors and witches and wizards. You know, I prayed for one man who won an election and then, they took his name to a native doctor, his opponent, to turn the whole thing upside down. Church Gist. When they arrived at the first native doctor, that one told them, “I can’t do anything about this man”, then the second one told them, “I have two advices for you; 1. This man, you can’t touch him. 2. Don’t waste money on native doctors again because you won’t achieve anything with this kind of man.

Just dash yourself to God, serve Him at every turn. Most times, at the airport, we are leading people to Christ, at the hotel lobby, we are leading people to Christ, just on a permanent basis. Those who follow us on journies are aware of what I’m talking about. When you do like that, you don’t need to pray extra prayer for the Anointing. “I have found David my servant, with my Holy oil have I anointed him”. Get ready, let 2023 not be business for you as usual. I told you people some years back, if you’re unemployed, let God employ you. Wake up in the morning and hit the road with Evangelism. When people are returning back after work, return back, you have finished your day’s work. Next morning, hit the road. When you cause such trouble in the kingdom of darkness, it is the devil himself that will find you work. Church Gist. He will say, “the trouble of this girl is too much, let’s just give her something that will make her leave us alone small”. Satan himself.
We took a testimony of three sisters and one man in a front desk of a transport (company) who got married all in the same year as they decided to donate themselves to Kingdom services. One or two of them, the husband met them at the frontdesk. The other one was at Evangelism when she met her husband.

Are you ready tonight for that oil? Lift up your hands everywhere you are and begin to appreciate God for what you received tonight. Worship Him, honour Him and adore Him.
