I was in a meeting in 1976, it was an Anglican Church. A man that I knew was a clergyman. He was there to read the lesson and he read from John 6:48-58, it was like Jesus speaking directly. “I am the bread of life,” as If I sat with him on the mountain when he was teaching that. The man teaching was a drunkard, I knew him but you see Jesus! When I entered into the house of God, understood I their end. The house of God is a city of illumination, open your heart. I was in a meeting in 1977 and somebody was ministering and something came on me right there. He was speaking from 2 Corinthians 3. Something bellowed on me, my head started sparkling literally. Something erupted in my system as he spoke. Church Gist. This time with the man of God in 1977, there was a spark in my system. Open your heart, something will drop for you that will be a lifetime asset. Open your heart, listen with your ears and understand with your heart. Something is about to turn loose in your life and tonight is that night. Spiritual gifts are impartable and they mostly impart through the words of the anointed or directly from scriptures by the help of the Holy Ghost. Whichever way, you must return with tangibles tonight.
Romans 1:11. Next of these vital forces that will establish our place in this end time is the Spirit of wisdom. Deuteronomy 34:19. It is impartable. 2 Timothy 1:7. Matthew 13:54. Exclamation provoking wisdom! They are not the wisdom of mighty words but mighty works. The wisdom of the world is the wisdom of mighty words, big grammar, big research. Church Gist. Mighty work engendering wisdom. Psalm 104:24. The wisdom that works mighty works. The wisdom from above is not theoretical, it is the wisdom of mighty works and it is reserved for this end time. Ephesians 3:8-11. Verse 10 in particular in the Amplified Wisdom.
Now listen to this, the Lord said to me when I was stepping out into full-time ministry “I will not have you go like others have gone, I will hands laid on you so you can be filled with the Spirit of wisdom”. God saw the place of wisdom in fulfilling his agenda in my life. What I say to one, I say to all. Everybody needs the Spirit of wisdom, for balance, for direction, for sound decision. Church Gist. Everybody needs the Spirit of wisdom. It is our bailout from confusion. All His ways are ways of pleasantness, you are not under pressure with wisdom. You don’t suffer crises with wisdom. As many as desire an enduement with the spirit of wisdom, receive it now.
The end time Church is ordained a reigning Church and by wisdom kings reign and princes decree justice. Proverbs 8:15-16. Church Gist. “Rule thou in the midst of the enemy” that talks about superlative wisdom that disarms your enemies.
By His grace, there is no stress or strain on my life in leading this little flock. Never suffered a sleepless night. For all His ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace. Proverbs 21:22. It is an ever-winning weapon. Ecclesiastes 9:16-18. Proverbs 21:22. Ever winning wisdom. The last battle you lost is the last you will ever lose as you engage the wisdom of God in confronting your battles. There is always a way out and God’s way is the wisdom way. Church Gist. God’s wisdom is in print and packaged in a book called the Bible. There is always a way out, just locate God’s own higher ways as contained in the Bible. Jesus said to his Apostles and I am one of them “freely you have received, freely give”. In the precious name of Jesus, everyone that desperately desires this, I freely release that deposit of grace of grace into everyone’s life tonight in the name of Jesus. You are never stranded with God’s wisdom at work. So, everyone that is held bound in one space, I decree that God’s wisdom will pave the way forward for you. There is nothing called unemployment when this wisdom is at work. His eyes see every precious thing. He sees treasures in the midst of trash. Church Gist. He said whatever your hands findeth to do. Wisdom is a finding weapon. You are always locating what is next profitable to do. Everybody needs it. Everybody needs it. It is not for passing exams, that is inclusive. Going beyond that to passing the tests of life. Scaling new heights by the day as He opens the way to you. In the precious name of Jesus, a new chapter opens to your life tonight. It was the identity of Christ, it must become your identity and my identity.
Luke 2:40,52. Jesus increased in wisdom and favour with God and man. It was his identity and wisdom is justified of her children. Matthew 11:19. Church Gist. Wisdom is ordained to be our identity. It takes the Spirit of wisdom to operate in season and out of season. Therefore receive that virtue right there where you are in the name of Jesus.
Wisdom unravels the deep things of God. It helps you to see your place in God, see where redemption has positioned you and begin to operate accordingly.
Next is the Spirit of love. 2 Timothy 1:7. Love in our context is loving God above all else including yourself. Loving God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind. We need the Spirit of love to activate every other virtue in the Kingdom. Every other spiritual virtue requires the Spirit of love to stay activated. For instance, faith works by love. Your faith will never deliver beyond your genuine love for God. Revelation answers to love. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 shows how love is an overriding virtue that keeps the other virtues activated and profitable. Everybody needs the Spirit of love which empowers us to stay in love in season and out season. Church Gist. When things appear to be working and when they appear not to be working at all. That Spirit puts you on top of it. I don’t know when it came on me but it came on me. You have heard me say before that you may have read all my books and understand all the principles but until you discover my heartbeat for God, you have not found my secret. Your heart is the base for the events of your life. If your heart is out for God, it will show. Well, in the name of the Lord of Jesus I release to you that free gift of heaven called the Spirit of love. Your love for God will not suffer a break anymore. Your love for God will not be negotiated anymore. When the enemy will come in like a flood to turn your back on God, the Spirit of love will prevail and put you on top of those circumstances.
When God holds the first place in your life and you keep Him there, you must end up a first class citizen. 1 Corinthians 2:9-11. You just emerge a pacesetter, a pathfinder, a trailblazer, you are not part of the crowd. When you are in love you can’t remain part of the crowd. Church Gist. You are distinguished, you can’t be truly in love and growing in love and remain part of a crowd. You are distinguished there. Love gives you access to the deep things of God which empowers us to scale strange heights. The deeper the foundation of a building, the taller it goes. Somebody’s story has just changed.
When I signed that pact with my wife in 1976 before we got married, I said if I was preaching and they cut my hand would you still like to be my wife? Is that how to talk to someone you want to marry? Nothing was relevant to me, my life was sold out. Nothing bothered my life. I remember telling my colleagues in church those days, in 1984, now that we are all at the same level understand what I am saying, when some of us take off in the air, you will say you don’t know what they are using. Church Gist. Let me tell you what I am using now that we are on the same level, I am sold out to God. We were believing God for #3,000 to pay off our rent. I said if I had this money God won’t appeal to me to give it. Now we are on the same level understand me, I am sold out to God. You can’t be sold out to God and not know. You can’t be sold out to God and not stand out in life. It is your turn.
Put your right hand on your chest. Receive a fresh enduement of the Spirit of love right now, I release it into your life in a new way in the name of Jesus.
6. The Spirit of joy and rejoicing.
We live in a world that is fast being overrun by depression. There is a global economic threat, don’t let anybody pretend to you. Nations are covering up but it is a global one. Most of those great buildings are empty, it is a global one. Mark 13:7-8. In a time like this everybody needs the oil of joy and the oil of gladness to stay on top. Everybody needs the Spirit of joy and rejoicing to stay on top. Psalm 45:7-8. Isaiah 61:3. The Spirit of joy. It keeps you rejoicing when there is no fruit on the fig tree, it keeps you celebrating when there is no fruit in the vine, when the flock is cut out of the fold, you keep rejoicing until you are translated to your high places. You are rejoicing in the valley to be translated to your high places. It takes the Spirit of joy to be joyful in the valley. Church Gist. Joseph was a joyful prisoner and he was lifted to the palace. He will go round and ask others “Why are you down this morning?” you can’t be down and be asking others why they are down. Joseph was never down. Don’t count it strange when you enter into diverse trials, it is part of the journey. It is challenges that make champions. It is part of the journey. To stay rejoicing instead of murmuring and complaining requires the Spirit of joy. Therefore right there where you are, I release to you the Spirit of joy and the oil of gladness. Receive it in the name of Jesus.
Nehemiah 8:10. It takes strength to command exploits. We are in the last days, the days of exploits in the Body of Christ, when all men and women that matter on the earth shall be born of Zion. No matter what goes on the earth, it is heaven’s agenda, it cannot be scuttled. Isaiah 14:24. You can’t stop it, no authority under heaven can stop it. Psalm 87 will be practically fulfilled. The way to your high places is joy and rejoicing. Someone once asked me, Brother David, do you ever have any problems? I said maybe it came and I didn’t know. That is what they call joy unspeakable full of glory. It is your heritage in redemption. It is part of the fruit of the Holy Ghost. Joy and rejoicing is a mystery behind your ascending to your high places. So all these murmurings and breaking the hearts of your wife and husband every day. Church Gist. “Papa said we shouldn’t say it but I have to say this to you, things are not working. If Papa hears now he will say we are not in faith.” How will I hear what you are saying in your bedroom? I am not a mind reader. You better settle down and say what you are saying inside, outside. You better settle down so you can be convicted. Ask her if I ever told her anything different from what I am telling you in the open. “I told them I don’t have problems but I have problems, these are the problems.”
Now, can I tell you something very interesting? Me and my wife have never talked over the Ark Project and we are in the same house. It is a non-issue. A new day dawns on your life today. We had two cases of suicide attempts last two weeks. The world is under stress, you need the Spirit of joy and rejoicing. People who talk to me on the phone, you can’t talk to me without laughing otherwise it is not my phone. No matter what you are bringing, you will laugh first. You can now do anything you want to do later. You laugh first. I am sure you are having a great day. You can’t say I am not having a great day. I am not part of the people you can dump your issues on. Today must be a great day for you. Yes Sir! There is no credit today, come tomorrow. Church Gist. You never hear anything on this platform that makes you sorry in 42 years. “Hello Brethren, we had an issue in Delta State, flood came and flood went” Flood came so we can send it back, that is what it came for. It came to where it shouldn’t come to, so we send it back and continue with what we are doing. The days of carrying evil tidings about are over in your life. The battle is over.
7. The Spirit of Stewardship
Isaiah 42:1-4.
The Spirit of Stewardship keeps you going like a roller coaster serving God. He shall not fail nor be discouraged in his stewardship. I have been going out after souls since 1976 consciously as a kingdom business. I have been doing it before but as what I had the passion to do. But I knew it is what to do to flow in favour with God. I still went twice this week. My going out on Thursday had 200 souls. I have been going out since 1976. He shall not fail nor be discouraged. Church Gist. Some will say “Papa give us money, we don’t want good news na money we need” I said Stop! You don’t know what you need. He shall not fail nor be discouraged. I release the Spirit of Stewardship into your life. One of the things it will do, it will make you of no reputation. Lay your reputation aside when you are serving God. All these I am MD, I am MO, it doesn’t fly here. You lay that aside, you are MD in your office not in the Kingdom. You can’t serve God profitably without laying your reputation aside. Philippians 2:5-9. Receive the spirit of servanthood.
Leaders are made of servants in the Kingdom. He that exalts himself shall be abased and he that humbles himself shall be exalted. Let’s humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and do our job, serve God with all delight. Sir, I know I am not doing this based on passion. There is help from above that is working in me that keeps me going. Sir, that Spirit so overwhelmed my life I had no time for a honeymoon after marriage. No time! Going from place to place without any offering in view. Church Gist. There were no offerings in those days so it can’t be a motivation. Nobody knew how to give offering because nobody had offering. Everybody was an offering on his own. What am I looking for? It is a force driving me. That is what you need, all these go small, come back again, withdraw. May this day mark a turning point in your kingdom advancement stewardship.
Put your right hand on your chest and receive the spirit of stewardship that will keep you going never to faint or fail or be discouraged in your stewardship. So help Me Jesus.
Again, unique engracements are also relevant for this hour. I will just list them and we run along. According to Paul, whatever virtue we saw in him is by divine enablement. Church Gist. 1 Corinthians 15:10. We recognize the following outstanding engracements in scriptures.
1. Engracement for unreserved dedication as demonstrated by Christ.
It is the mystery behind the unending rise of the redeemed. John 12:24-26. Dedication! Jesus said, “I have power to lay it down and power to take it up again.” It takes some engracement to walk in that realm so I called it ‘the engracement for unreserved dedication’. The mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds but when it is dedicated, it grows up and grows out great branches, the birds of the air come in to make their nests in it. It grows up and throws out great branches when it is dedicated not when it is casually hanging around. It will end up distinguished. Receive the spirit of dedication that is visible upon this Commission right now in the name of Jesus. Church Gist. If you check our prayer items since inception, it is Jesus save the lost, Jesus heal the sick, Jesus move your kingdom forward. Do you know as great as the Ark project is, it has not qualified for prayer here? We have not prayed over it once. We don’t have prayer point on it. We have prayer bulletin for every subject, do you have one for rural church building? Grace for unreserved dedication to God and the interests of His Kingdom which will decorate anyone, any day any time, receive it now in the name of Jesus. The good news is tonight is your night. You are leaving this service a new man and a new woman.
2. Engracement for Kingdom focused prayer.
That is the main feature of your prayer life. It takes grace. Paul was a prayer giant. “I make mention of you in my prayer,” “I labour to birth you into the kingdom,” “I labour to see you established in the faith.” “I am what I am by the grace of God.” Therefore today, receive the grace for kingdom focused prayer as a main feature of your prayer life. God who sees you in secret has vowed to reward you openly. You shall be openly rewarded. We have seven prayer bulletins that are all available on our website. Personal spiritual awakening, your spiritual life is more important than any other thing. Church Gist. That is where the control room of your life is. It cannot be well with you spiritually and not be well with you everywhere. When Kingdom advancement becomes your lifestyle, everything answers to you. Matthew 6:6,33. I mentioned the other time that I have been on quite a number of prayer episodes and I cannot remember one where I went for me, or for my family and my well-being. I am well. It is in doing what I am doing that I get well. It is grace to despise the issues around you and focus on His issues. It makes Him take over your issues. When He takes them over they are over. Can anybody handle your case better than God? So, when you let God handle it, you’re working in wisdom. Thank you Jesus. The deed is done!
– it’s your turn to laugh
Now watch, He promised to get us on the highways of life, that’s what He’s showing us. Church Gist. This is the way to stay on the highways of life by being empowered by the Spirit, not just to get started but to keep going.
– that shall be your portion!
1 Timothy 4:15. It takes graces to stick to the Word as a way of life. To keep fit on the Word as a lifestyle, it takes grace. 2 Timothy 2:15. Church Gist. It’s a commandment that requires grace to implement and engage with. Study, not assume, not keep the Bible under your pillow. Study! 1 Timothy 5:17. 1 Timothy 4:13-15. It’s a commandment that requires grace for engagement.
I once hosted international media people in an interview, they said, as an impromptu question, “what do you do with your time?” I said, “I read and I think”. Church Gist. I once took my raw diary to the Ministers’ conference, one of those days at CU when we had the Ministers’ conference, handwritten of lessons drawn on virtually daily basis. I read daily, it’s grace.
– I release that grace to your life right now!
In the day of battle, it’s what you found before that the Holy Ghost now reminds you, He can’t remind you of what you have not found before. It’s what you have found before that He can remind you of. Church Gist. So, settling with the Word settles one’s destiny. Settle with the Word. I always crack a joke here, I went on one of those trips and my wife said, “what did you bring?” I said, “come and see”. So, I took her to my study. We had a study room in my home from the day one of marriage. It was my lifestyle before so I can’t change it now. Church Gist. So, I said, “come and see”, I opened the first box, books, second box, books. She said, “what else?” I said, “that’s all else oh”. I said, “the contents of these books, if comprehended, can make me a manufacturer of things I would have bought”. Value for knowledge would keep adding knowledge to your life. Please, have value for knowledge. All these “pray for me” syndrome, the time for it is going. I pray for you, the devil leaves you and I leave you, the devil comes back, what can I do? Will I come back? No. If I pray for you and you’re in darkness, you will go back to darkness where they steal, kill and destroy. Church Gist. They steal what I pray over you for, I can’t do anything about it. So, walk as children of light by going for light and walking in the light.
– receive the grace for a studious life today!
– no one here shall be grounded anymore!
Jeremiah 31:34. You mustn’t be the last one to come on board. You have known about Him enough. So, register today in the school of spiritual knowledge and watch how it impacts on every area of your life. Habakkuk 2:14. Church Gist. So, it’s coming, a deluge of revelation, you better take your place in it by settling down with the Bible. Can I tell you how to get started? Get back to the New Testament, the four gospels, start from Matthew, be eating it, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John. It will set a pace for your spiritual adventure in the school of revelation. Church Gist. Now, sit up with John’s Gospel and consume it. All these “I’ve read through the whole Bible, where’s the change?” Jeremiah 15:16.
– something is breaking forth in your life!
– Lift up your right hand everybody, thank God for the free gift of a studious life.
Everything we saw in Paul, he said, “it’s by grace”. Church Gist. A studious life is by grace and we are tapping into it tonight, in Jesus’ precious name.
Five engracement for Kingdom investment with delight. Pick those words one by one and enjoy it. Obedience is not enough, obedience with delight is what delivers maximally. Psalm 112:1-3. Church Gist. Kingdom investment with delight. You’re delighted doing it. They are not things you do and you wish you didn’t do it. They are things that came out of you with utmost delight. It’s to you a privilege, not a burden. It’s soothing to you, not coerced nor pressurized. Church Gist. You’re having fun doing it. You’re enjoying it without wanting to be known, without a desire for acknowledgement. You do that, you have won His heart and when you win His heart, you enter into favour with Him.
– it’s your turn.
The endtime Church is ordained for a Church of financial fortune. Malachi 3:17. God’s jewels is coming on the earth. God’s riches is revisiting the earth. Church Gist. God is restoring the Garden of Eden to the endtime Church. Isaiah 51:1-3. That is, Isaiah 51:1-3 will be fulfilled before Jesus comes.
All things that were spoken by the prophets since the world began must come to pass before he returns. Acts 3:20-21 must come to pass before he returns. There is going to be a restoration of Eden back to the end time Church. The Earth will be burning like an oven but you will be growing up and going forth. As you receive the engracement for delightsome investment in kingdom advancement issues, it’s in you. Church Gist. Before I had the first bank account I had the dream to build God churches. I wasn’t called to ministry but I said, God if you ever bless me I want to be part of building you Churches, because I saw Churches being built 10, 20 years, they never finish. Committee members have died, new ones have come, it never finished. You don’t have a kingdom dream, your future is … You need a kingdom dream to create a future. It’s your heart first not your stuff. You don’t have no stuff; what he gave you is what you have.
I had that dream and I am living that dream today building Churches here and there as God enables me. It’s amazing, it’s soothing. Our family is so wonderful that I don’t know which Churches my wife has built and she doesn’t know which ones I’ve built except I mention it. Church Gist. Each one is building his own into his own future and destiny. You better wake up! When it is your turn to buy a chair, take delight in it. It’s your turn to build a place, build a place. It’s your turn to give land, give land. Where is your heart?
Financial fortune that is outside your skill and your connections, strength, business platform is coming to hit the Church. May you not miss your place in it! It’s one of the few things I knew a bit of so I knew when I had nothing and was heading for plenty. I knew I was heading for plenty. Church Gist. I was persuaded by standing on the covenant terms. I never begged one person in my life, I never entered anybody’s house to ask for any form of help in my life. I didn’t carry that lack mentality, I had a plenty mentality by engaging the covenant terms. It’s over to you!
Somebody said, “I wish I have.” Start with what you have my friend. Send that child to school – primary school. Church Gist. Public school is what you send for guguru and akara. Send the child. Your heart is not there. Have a heart to do it.
We have Professors in Covenant University today that I sponsored in school. We had no University when I sponsored them and I didn’t know them either. Church Gist. “How did you know then?” Those who knew that they are in need told me and I got interested.
– Somebody’s destiny has just opened up!
2 Corinthians 8:1-7. The giving grace is what makes giving a delight. When the giving grace is upon your life, you operate with delight in doing it. The Macedonian Church was in poverty but they were all out to give inspite of their poverty. Church Gist. It was a paradox but they did because of the giving grace upon their lives. Tonight, these virtues are open to us to open up to receive and engage with them.

I got a number of things through God orchestrated connections and the impact is real in my life. Such as I have received from various sources hither to, I release them all into your life in the name of Jesus. My encounter with Copeland stirred up the giving grace in my life when I saw his giving life. It provoked something in me and I don’t feel it. Investing into matters of the Kingdom does not hold a feeling in my heart. It’s natural, it flows. Church Gist. Whatever is holding back anyone’s destiny in any form that won’t let these things have expression in your life, I command them rooted out in the name of Jesus. To let you know I am not going about soul winning for Church growth I’ve been going for soul winning before I was called to ministry. I was not a pastor when I caught the light so I am not going for soul winning so that Church can grow. Church will grow as a result because they need to be preserved but that’s not my motivation. I am adding value to the Kingdom thereby receiving value from the Kingdom. I am not trying to impress anybody.
I’ve been holding crusades before I was called to ministry to see people saved. May these virtues find real life expressions in your life. No one here will end his journey in regret. Church Gist. When you’re in pursuit of God and the interest of his kingdom, he is with you always even to the end of the age. Romans 8:31.
Do you know what the world fears about this place? God’s presence! It’s visible, it’s dangerous. Church Gist. Don’t pretend not to know. When you’re in pursuit of God and the interest of his kingdom his presence is settled and resident with you. What can you use to buy that?
– Ask God for grace to remain in partnership with him all the days of your life!
