This month is our month of ‘LET’S PRAISE HIM.’ We will be looking at, ‘PRAISE FOR SUPERNATURAL INCREASE/ANOINTING (Part 2).
Praise is exalting God for who He is in songs, clapping and dancing. While supernatural is something beyond human expertise, scientific comprehension or laws of nature. Increase is something that becomes greater in size, amount, or degree. Church Gist. Praise for supernatural increase is exalting God for who He is in songs, clapping, dancing, that makes Him lift you financially beyond human understanding.
Matthew 16:19. Jesus speaking said, “keys of the Kingdom.” There’s a plural there, ‘keys.’ So, there is a key for healing, for deliverance, prosperity, the keys are not the same. You don’t use the key for a Peugeot to open a Mercedes Benz. Church Gist. You don’t use the key of your gate to open your room. Each door has its own key. If you don’t have the right key if you like cry from now till tomorrow the door will never open. And the key is knowledge.
Psalm 37:17-19
- I speak to someone, in the midst of hardship you will never see shame!
- When people are saying things are not working, you will have more than enough.
Psalm 33:18-19
- I speak, nobody will die this season
-I speak, no matter the hardship, your case will be different.
But every time God’s Word gives you a promise, you have a part to play. There is no promise of God that can fulfill itself without man doing his own part. Many times we want God to do everything without us accepting the responsibility to do our part. As free as salvation, you must confess Jesus otherwise you will never be saved. It is a free gift but if you don’t accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour you will never be saved. Church Gist. There is no condition of Scriptures that does not give man an attendant responsibility. But many times we don’t want to accept our part of the responsibility so we look at people who want to end the liability. Every time God says I will do this for you, also find out what you will do.
He wanted to turn water to wine, he said, “put water” – that was their responsibility. He wanted to heal Bartimaeus, He said, “what will you have me to do?” Church Gist. The man has to speak what he wanted. There’s nothing God will do for you without you doing your own part but many times we want to transfer our responsibility to even God to do. If it was possible, some us will even pray, ‘God put food in my mouth.’ Church Gist. Some of our prayers are so stupid. ‘Oh God I want to pass this exam’ yet, you didn’t read. Responsibility of reading is for you then, He is to make you to pass, to give you retentive memory. But some people will not read and they say, ‘O God, I will pass this exam’ – you must be a magician.
Hear this and hear me well: we live in a Kingdom that operates on keys. We access Heaven’s resources with these keys. Now, financial increase is possible. Psalm 115:14. God wants us to have sufficiency in all things. Church Gist. 2 Corinthians 9:8. When God blesses you, He doesn’t want sorrow to be part of it. Proverbs 10:22. Now, if keys are needed to access Heaven’s resources, then, I need to find out what to do. My responsibility is to find out what kind of keys and I will be showing you some keys you need to access Kingdom wealth. Church Gist. This is because if you ignore those keys frustration will start. As tiny as a padlock may look like, or as big as any padlock, there is one tiny key that opens it. Is that true? You may have muscle strength, you may not be able to open padlock but one small thing called key, tiny thing, no effort, even the weakest person will open it. But without that key, you may be Superman, some of us are struggling because we don’t have the key. All these frustration in the body of Christ is because we have not collected the right keys.
Many miss it this way because they think that prayer is the key they use for prosperity. No way brother, that’s not true. Church Gist. When you come to prosperity, prayer is not inside. Matthew 11:5. When it comes to prosperity, you have to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
VITAL KEYS THAT GUARANTEE OUR ACCESS TO SUPERNATURAL INCREASE
Excellence: Do not do anything without a touch of excellence. For instance in this second service somebody was taking praise. If that person is working with me, I won’t promote you. You come to Sunday where people came to Church and be singing non.sense. Church Gist. The person was just singing off key. Now that’s how we work too, “the man hates me.” Hate you where? They didn’t tell you to sing all of a sudden. So you should prepare at home. I just said go down; you know me, I hate mediocrity. I don’t have to be a musician to know when things are not flowing. Have you ever seen me come careless to preach? No way!
Do you know why you don’t come careless any day? Even though a restaurant is cooking good food everyday and one day they cook soured food, that may be the day somebody may go to eat. It doesn’t matter that other days they have been cooking good food. Church Gist. That’s why I don’t come careless because there is always a new person in the Church. I must come prepared; they didn’t force me to preach. Some of you the problem why you are not promoted is not because you don’t give. It’s because of mediocrity; you go to your office and carry file under your armpit like pencil seller.
The problem of Nigeria is mediocrity. Anywhere unqualified person leads, the people like mediocrity. Nigeria till we go for excellence, we will never go forward. When you allow illiterates to be leading you. Church Gist. Illiterate does not mean somebody who did not go to school. Somebody who went to school but has no vision is an educated illiterate. He may have PhD. That’s not my teaching.
Your ears are open (laughs). All those people who are on their laptop now, who have no work, they won’t listen to what I am preaching, they are waiting for me to say something then they say, Pastor David Ibiyeomie said. Church Gist. You won’t hear what I am preaching, your work is to sit down on the laptop. That’s why they are not progressing because all they do is to listen for what I will say so they can misquote me. If you misquote me…, just misquote me; I will fight you spiritually, physically, legally.
I have made up my mind, Nobody on social media insult me, I will arrest you. Arrest your father, your mother, I lock you up. You know the reason? It is because you don’t lock people up that is why they are joking. It is against ethics to misquote somebody. Go and ask lawyers. I will take legal action against you. Church Gist. By the time I tell you 10 billion Naira damage, because my capacity is 50 billion. All your life savings, you will pay. When somebody misquotes you, don’t take it for granted. Do you know it is against the law for somebody to snap (take your photograph) you in public without your permission? Ask lawyers they will tell you.
You are intruding into my privacy; I sue you. By the time I claim 10-20 billion, your father and your mother will come and beg. I will follow you with police, army, prayer, everything. Next time you will learn how to talk. Church Gist. If anybody insults you don’t say Church; arrest the person, lock the person up, go to court, win the case, let the judges sentence him to imprisonment with green uniform. The person will leave you alone.
VITAL KEYS THAT GUARANTEE OUR ACCESS TO SUPERNATURAL INCREASE
1) Hear and practice the Word: Job 22:21-25. If you want to prosper, then, make sure you hear the Word and put the Word you hear to practice because the things you know determines how you prosper. Church Gist. Two things make people perish: if a man is not born again and if a man is also ignorant. Romans 6:23, Romans 8:6. When you are carnally minded, you are ignorant. So, even if you are born again, you will suffer what the sinners suffer. That will not be your portion.
Matthew 7:24. You can only practice what you know. Many cannot practice the Word of God because they don’t even know it. And if you don’t know it, you can’t access it. Church Gist. Faith is built on what you know and understand. If you don’t know it your faith will not be built and if your faith is not built, you can’t have access to the truth.
Satan can only stop you when you are ignorant. Church Gist. Hosea 4:6; Isaiah 5:13. He cannot stop you if you know because you can’t doubt what you know from God’s Word.
For instance, Satan will tell you not to pay tithe and give offering. You know why? it’s fool.ish and scriptural because you don’t know the truth. Poverty comes by fear and faith is the answer to it and faith determines your level of increase. Church Gist. But you can’t have faith without the Word of God. No man can prosper without the Word of God and no man can be deceived who knows the Word of God.
Today, there are many teachings by even men of God who say tithing is wrong, and people believe it because they don’t read Bible. Can you tell me that kind of thing now? No way! I read Bible for myself. Church Gist. You can’t convince me with what I know. A man of God can get up any day and say whatever in error based on what he likes. People are coming with every doctrine to deceive people. It says in the last days men shall depart from the truth including men of God.
When it comes to tithe you are complaining. What of other things that God has said? Why didn’t you talk? You hear people say, ‘yes men of God said we should not pay tithe, tithe is wrong. Men of God did not tell you to abstain from immorality? Church Gist. If it is immorality, you will not hear it on social media that, ‘Now men of God are saying we should stop stealing, immoral thing.’ you won’t say it oo. But when it comes to money, even you in Church you like it because you are stingy.
People debate about money, they don’t debate about immorality. I have never seen two Christians debating immorality. Adeboye preaches holiness. All the things he has preached about holiness you don’t see them? If you write against Adeboye you don’t have respect for elders. Church Gist. All these small boys writing against fathers; you know why? They don’t have fathers. If you have a father it will be heavy in your mouth to insult them. Stop insulting men because you don’t have fathers, you do not know who is your father. I was trained never to insult my elder brother. Church Gist. I was trained never to insult a senior person. People who insult senior people are not trained. They lack home training.
All of you on social media, write things which are good; stop insulting men of God if not, I will stir up men of God against you. Politicians you did not insult, we are the ones you are insulting because we are preachers. Church Gist. Have you insulted your Governors and Presidents? You want to insult men of God because they are quiet. I will be one Man of God in my life time, I will arrest anybody who insults men of God. Arrest you, lock you, send you to prison.
2) Be a covenant practitioner: Deuteronomy 8:18. Covenant is an agreement with terms and benefits. The covenant is in Genesis 8:22. Proverbs 11:24. How do I walk by covenant? The foundation of the covenant is tithing. Church Gist. Tithing is simply 10% percent of God’s blessings on our lives that we give back to God. Genesis 14:18-20. Abraham was the first man to pay tithe and his transgenerational blessing is still speaking on Israel and all of us who are children of God till today. The tithe belongs to God. Leviticus 29:27-30; Malachi 3:10-12; Matthew 23:23; Hebrews 7:8. Church Gist. Tithe answers in Heaven. Jesus oversees our tithing and he has the keys to open the windows of Heaven.
- May the Heavens be open over your life.
It is dangerous to touch the tithe.
Secondly, covenant practice, be a giver. Covenant requires our commitment to kingdom promotion dreams where God’s blessings on our lives are used to facilitate His kingdom. Church Gist. As God blesses you, give to that level – that is the way to keep prospering. You prosper by giving, stay prosperous by giving, and you continually prosper by giving.
Many of you prospered and stopped; why? It is because you stopped giving. Where giving stops that’s where prosperity stops. If you are not prospering again, you have disobeyed in your giving covenant. Church Gist. As long as you give, Heavens will keep supplying. When your sowing increases, reaping will increase. 2 Corinthians 9:6 (KJV, AMPC, MSG). If you don’t like the harvest you are getting then, change your seed. There is no day cocoyam will produce yam.
- I pray somebody will have understanding.
Remember you are primarily blessed to be a blessing to the level you are willing to be a blessing. Church Gist. If you want financial testimony, then, obey the laws of financial prosperity.
Listen carefully: if I want my harvest to change, I do it not once, not twice, not thrice, I don’t give 10%, 20%, I don’t want to tell you how much percentage I give, for every money I get I have a percentage I give. Church Gist. One day I was teaching the pastors and I said: the easiest way for a pastor never to be poor is to set aside 30% of your income, you will never be broke as a pastor. I said, give 10% tithe, 10% offering, 10% share it between your family, whatever you want to do, and the prophet and the rest, I said it is impossible for any Pastor to ever beg a member.
And one of them testified to me and said, “Sir, I put it to practice the following week from that day; my Heavens have opened. So, there is no point telling pastors alone. Church Gist. As a believer at your level, remove 10%, remove 5% for offering for a start, then, take another 10% scatter it to the poor, prophet, elderly people, that will be 25%; let the world be hard, Heavens will be open, you will be getting breakthrough. Church Gist. Scatter the 10%, to Prophet, and taking care of your family because if you don’t take care of your family, for the men, if you like be the highest anointed man, poverty has started.
Be a giver, there is no shortcut. Please pay your tithe; Abraham paid tithe. You don’t pay tithe, why do you sing Abraham’s blessings are mine? Church Gist. If you don’t do the things that Abraham did then Abraham’s blessings will not be yours. Jesus came on Earth and confirmed tithing. No man of God will ever preach against tithing; he is not holier than Jesus. I don’t care the man of God, he is wrong. Romans 3:4. Church Gist. If I tell you anything contrary to Bible, don’t take it. Read Bible for yourself because any man of God can go into error.
You’re paying tithe, you’re struggling; then when you don’t pay tithe? Let me tell you something that will challenge you: if any Christian stays without eating bribe, without stealing, without GPT, without tithing, and they prospered, I will stop preaching the following day. Church Gist. Not one Christian! Anybody who says so, it’s a lie. There is somewhere you are getting money illegally. God given wealth is impossible without tithing.
3) Praise God: Psalm 67:5-7. Dancing without offering is pouring water on a ground you did not plant seed; it is erosion. Church Gist. You say, ‘Lord as I praise you, I am watering the seed I have been sowing.’
